I have been a patient for twenty years, and in the last month, I have had to reschedule two appointments due to long wait times (30 then 40 mins). Their most qualified and efficient hygienists have retired or moved on. The kiosk check-in system is also faulty and does not always go through to the front desk, so they think you're late or a no-show unless you speak to the receptionist. There is also now a host standing by the kiosks... why? I am disappointed because I pay for PPO just to continue going to CD. I vote for them for Bakersfield's Best every year. And I have referred all of my friends and family to them throughout these years. But I won't be doing that anymore. Will report back if things improve.

About a year ago and at the recommendation of my dentist, I started looking into getting dental…read moreimplants. My bottom teeth were in good shape with the exception of a couple missing teeth that were located about half way back and could not be easily seen when I smiled, but my upper teeth were basically shot and needed to all come out. My dentist got me started by sending me to two other dentists, one who specialized in dental implants and another who specialized in partials and dentures. Well, after paying a $350 non-refundable evaluation exam from the implant dentist and listening to his recommendations, I knew that I was headed down the wrong road, hence, I decided to look elsewhere. I searched around the Internet and that's when I got lucky and found the number for Doctor Krauss. When I called his office and the receptionist answered, she introduced herself as Amber. Amber collected my information and set me up with an appointment for the following week. I recall having such a wonderful experience talking to her on the phone that I could hardly wait to get to my appointment and meet her in person. When that day finally arrived and I walked into Dr Krauss's office, there she was and boy did she ever meet up to what I had imagined her to be. In terms of a person that one would want as their initial intro for a business, Amber is the full package! Personable, professional, intelligent, efficient, and very pretty on top of all that! She actually had me looking forward to my visits to the dentist if you can imagine that! Next I was introduced to the man himself, Dr Krauss. This guy took one look into my mouth and right away laid out a plan that was perfect, exactly what I had in mind and a plan that allowed me to take it one step at a time with the options to add on as I saw fit. Just five minutes with this guy and I came away with full confidence that I had landed in the right place. Dr K is a straight forward, no BS, let's do this thing the right way kinda guy. I did not find that in the place I initially went to. I can't say enough about his integrity and business ethics! Hold on there, cuz this thing gets even better! The work I needed took several appointments and I was worked on by Dr Krauss and his Dental Assistance. One assistant in particular stood out to me like Wilt Chamberlain at a midget's convention amongst any other dental assistant I have ever encountered. I still remember sitting in the waiting room on my second visit and the door opening up and this angel of a woman named Mariah called my name and walked me back to one of the rooms. I'm 64 years old and my dad was a Dental Technician by trade; I know my way around a dental office. Let me tell you this, when it comes to dental assistance, Mariah takes the cake. I lack the vocabulary to give a justifiable description of my amazement with her. She made me feel so comfortable in that operating chair I felt like I was sitting on a bar stool at a sports bar watching the big game with my buddies. Not only does she possess very attractive features like those of Amber, she also does not fall short in her professionalism, knowledge of her work, and overall mannerisms. Before I close I do want to mention the other technician Susie as having some of the same overall characteristics as Amber and Mariah. She too made my overall experience a very pleasant one. In closing, let me say this, if you are anything like me, and you are looking into having any sort of dental implant work, don't waste your time and money, just get on the phone and call Dr Krauss's office and ask for Amber.

Went in for a…read morecrown and the crown that was put on didn't fit so a staff member sanded it down to the point that the tooth wasn't soft or shiny and did not feel like a real tooth and there was also a gap. I expressed these concerns while at the visit and the staff member seemed annoyed that I brought up my concern. She was also very aggressive and rough. Called and let them know and dr said he would redo. I also called and asked that next time I come in I be seen by a different staff member or dr if possible as I did not have a great experience. Amber the fronts desk said she would do her best and put it in the notes. My concern was obviously not charted or communicated because when I went in for the second visit I was seen by the same person. She again was very rough and aggressive with my mouth and made a comment that I may just need to be numbed. I let her know on my last visit when I got the numbing shot I was numb for a week and very sore I thought he hit a nerve, she had no response to that at all. Also the staff is very chatty with eachother while working on patients which does not create a very calming environment for someone who has anxiety when going to the dentist. Will not be returning.

I'm terrified of dentists but they really helped to calm me before a major procedure, and the tooth was reconstructed perfectly!
