Counter girl was so helpful for my first time.....getting a sub to go so I decided on a cold one. The Italian with added banana peppers was on point..the bread was so soft and fresh..can't wait to try one of the BOMB subs ( steak,chicken,meatball,sausage)...fries looked awesome, fried to order that's unheard of...this is now my Go To Sub Shop.... read more

The subs here were very tasty! We enjoyed their fries as well and would definitely come back when we are in the mood for a great sub sandwich. We enjoyed stopping by for a quick lunch. Delish! read more

We have given this Jon Smith Subs location multiple opportunities to share good meals over the course of a couple of years. More than we should have since we have tried to support local business owners. Unfortunately the food quality and service is just subpar more than 75% of the time. This last meal from there, tonight, consisted of a 6" chicken bomb and a 6" classic steak plus large fry. The large fry was pretty much the only part that was edible. The steak meat was cooked as if it was intended to be leather like. The chicken sub tasted like the grill chef had scraped the grill and put the extra scrapings on top of the sub. The one caveat was that the order was at least correct, this time. 7 out of 10 times the order has been wrong. And yes, we still gave them another chance. And another. And another...... At $28 for this meal of two subs and a fry (no drinks as it was carry out) it is just time to move on. Our suggestion for anyone looking to purchase here, would be to look elsewhere. read more

We had the tuna, Italian & Philly cheese steak. All were good. They did have a problem with their phones so ordering was a bit challenging. Ours was a to go order. read more

Came into Destin for the weekend from Atlanta and was craving a sandwich before hitting the beach. Saw the reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. The steak bomb was hot and the melted cheese set it off! The Cuban sandwich was perfectly pressed with a nice crispness on the bread and you can taste the quality meats. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Ordered a Cubano and it dis not disappoint! There was no shortage of meat in this sando. The customer service was great as well! read more

Jon Smith Subs - He's happy now! - Sandwiches Near Me - Miramar Beach, Florida

Here in Sandestin for work. Went to this place based on recommendations on Yelp. Several things: 1) hardly anyone was wearing masks in this place; not even the workers or cashier. 2) ordered the steak bomb sub sandwich; took 20 minutes for it come out and it was before the lunch crowd so it was not that busy. 3) the sandwich was ok, wasn't impressed at all 4) their so called "fries" that is suppose to be one of the best and "always served hot" was cold and did not taste good. I would recommend going to jimmy John's or firehouse subs. It's always good to give a second chance, but first impressions are important- I wouldn't come back. My colleagues who also ordered different sandwiches were not impressed either. read more

I know everyone is understaffed. We ordered food at 5:30 pm. We called at 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8. No answer. If you can't deliver my food, the least you can do is call me and tell me that. Update: 3 hours after we ordered, we got the wrong stuff. I just told the delivery guy "thanks" even though I knew the order was wrong. Just call me and I will make other plans. read more

One of my favorite sandwich spots ever. The employees are always super cool, the food is fast and delicious. Highly recommend.

Great place for sandwiches in the Destin/Miramar Beach area. Lots of options and food is fresh!

If you are looking for a sub at the beach, these are the best!!! My whole family agrees, even my picky kids! The staff is always super nice as well. We visited twice on our last vacation in June of 2020, for lunch! read more

Great food and service! Best around. Management/ownership take your order and serve you.

We stopped here to get sandwiches to take to the beach. They're located in a new strip mall & is very clean & nicely decorated. Service is friendly & prompt. They have very good choices, and everything is fresh. My wife appreciated her BLT wrap & I got tuna on whole wheat. A great place to stop for sandwiches. read more

Excellent all around. Service is fantastic; friendly, attentive, sincere. What I think are the owners are actively involved and seem to genuinely care about their customers experience. I've had about 4-5 different subs and I've enjoyed all of them. I will continue to come back. As a local I almost didn't want to review, wanting to keep my favorite spots secret and hidden away from the crowds of tourist. But these are just killing it all around. Great job guys! read more

Excellent sandwiches, customer service, and prices. Love this local spot and would highly recommend everyone to come by and support + enjoy!

Omg are you kidding me!! These subs are the bomb!! We were working not far from Jon Smith Subs and my friends could not believe I had never been there. I was shocked to find out this is a chain.....but it is a franchise and it did not disappoint. I had the Cuban and it was one of the best I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. read more

This place smelled delicious as I rode by on a bike while in town for business. Looked at the reviews and based on those recommendations I ordered the Steak bomb. Good to the last bite. The full size sandwich ch is more than enough to feed two people so I would recommend ordering the full and a large fry to split with a friend. I took the other half back to my hotel and ate it two days later and it was still yummy. Fast service considering everything was made fresh and the staff were super nice and accommodating. I will return here next year and will definitely eat here again read more

Five stars from Columbus, Ohio!!! The Cuban sandwich was the bomb! And friendly employees!!!!

Great subs. Tried the steak bomb and gator. Both great. Owner brought a sample of the pastrami which as a pastrami snob was best I've tried in Florida. Don't forget to get fries. Happy to have great sandwich option in town. read more

We just rolled into town and wanted something quick. Saw this sub shop and decided to give it a try. Turned out to be a GREAT choice! Super fast and extremely friendly staff. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasted amazing, being from NY it's always hard to find a good Italian cold cut sub but this place definitely delivers that! Although I am saddened now because this place doesn't exist back up north. Will for sure back to this sub shop the next time we are in town! read more

Visiting from Michigan, btw it's cold there and nice and warm here, my husband and I felt like trying a sub place not found at home. We had the steak bomb, tuna bomb and fries. Both were delicious, the steak bomb was by far my favorite. The young gal at the counter, Sharotte, was very pleasant and patiently explained to us our sub options. It's pricey compared to Subway but tons better!! It's like comparing a Lexus to a Yugo!! (Millennials feel free to google that) read more

This is my new favorite sub! All of them. While vacationing in the San Destin area this was the perfect place to grab sandwiches to take onto the beach or to sit down with friends. Their hot or cold menu has it all and the owners, Rod & Stacey are the perfect hosts! read more

This place is great. Staying in Beachwalk Villas and it's a quick golf cart ride or walk. Their subs are huge and fresh. They even serve breakfast sandwiches and got a breakfast burrito the other day and it was delicious. Everything is made to order but worth the wait. read more

The Bomb is explosive! Definitely worth ordering...very tasty. Additionally, very nice, courteous and quick.

While on spring break we thought we'd try this place out. It was close to closing time, so we called ahead to make sure they'd be ok taking our order close to closing shop. The young lady was wonderful, and told us it was no problem. We placed our order, and then my husband picked it up. He said the place was neat and clean, and that the girl helping him couldn't have been nicer. We shared the steak bomb and fries. Let me tell you,it was DELICIOUS! Probably our best meal on spring break, including all of our $20 a pop restaurants. Try it, you won't be disappointed!! read more

Needed a quick and filling lunch for beach day and JS delivered on that. We would definitely go back. Way better than any sandwich place around! read more

I have had much better subs than this place. I had the steak bomb. Way overrated. This is supposed to be their signature sub. It's a chopped steak sub with green peppers and onions. The steak was dry and overcooked. The steak should not be chopped. It should be large pieces or 1whole piece.I will go back to try a cold sub. The service was quick and it is very clean inside. read more
