Not only is she extremely professional, but she also makes you feel extremely comfortable even though you are standing there in little to no clothes. I always have a great experience at the Jon Richard Salon at the Cranston location. I have been a loyal customer for about two years now after they corrected my hair and color and made it look fabulous. Chelsea Sweet is my hair stylist and I couldn't imagine switching to another salon. She understands color, and if your looking for a beautiful blonde tone she is the one to see! I am always craving an ash blonde color and she nails it spot on every time. She takes her time making sure the highlights are perfect and makes them nice and thin, sometimes blending multiple colors, to give it a gorgeous natural look. In addition to the color, the hair cuts are always awesome. Jon Richard Salon is trendy and filled with staff that have creative ideas and recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxing and always clean. Everyone is always so warm and welcoming. In addition to their amazing hair services, they also offer spa services, waxing and spray tanning. The spray tanning does not make you orange! It is a beautiful natural organic tan that makes you glow with a radiant color. They always use amazing products from their hair care line, to the wax they use on your skin. I have very sensitive skin and when i get waxing done at this salon it is never overly irritated and the redness usually fades within a short time. I just have to say that this is the BEST salon I have ever been to, and as a man I have been to everything from Providence salons to Supercuts. GREAT experience when I first walked in and was greeted with a SMILE before 10am in the morning (that is not coffee folks, that is just an overall pleasant person, rare to find these days) by Jamie, the receptionist. I was a walk in and had heard good things about this salon from my girlfriend. She said they were recommended in ELLE magazine as the best in RI and I have to say I agree with them after only my first visit. EVERYONE in that salon seemed happy to be there and actually knew what they were doing. Normally at a barber shop, I just get in the chair and they do their thing and I leave, but here, I was asked by Richard HOW I wanted to look, if I wanted to change my look and what I would need to keep this look going until the next time I visited. He didn't push any products on me, which is a HUGE plus in my book, he just wanted to make sure I was happy with how I looked, and by the end of it I was, that is literally all he wanted. I would recommend this salon to ANYONE looking for a great experience. They really know how to take care of you and YOU come first, and it seemed that way not just with Richard, but with every person in the salon. Good to see great customer service. Jon Richard is an amazing salon. I go there and see Chelsea for my hair. She is an amazing colorist! I change my mind often on what I want and she is always encouraging and looks forward to my next change! I have very thick, long hair so it's a big task that she is always ready to take on! My last appointment I had with her she taught me great new tips on how to blow-dry my hair because every time I leave there my hair looks so amazing and I just wish I could have her do it everyday for me! She does such an amazing job and I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking to get their hair done! Today I went to Jon Richard Salon and had an appointment with Jamie for a spray tan. Not only was Jamie adorably sweet and friendly but made me feel very comfortable. I was nervous getting one with the result of being streaky and orange but it came out amazing! My color looks beautiful and flawless. She also told me about all the other services she offers, including waxing and facials! I had needed my eyebrows done so she did them for me right then and they look amazing! When I was going to get my tan, there someone was getting their nails done. Completely Satisfied! I went to the Jon Richard Salon for the first time and had a partial highlight and a trim done to my hair. My hair is naturally really frizzy, kinky curly, and not easy to work with. I've always had a hard time finding a hair stylist that knew how to style my hair and I'm usually skeptical going to new salons. So, I was amazed when Vanessa, the stylist picked the perfect shade for my highlight. The highlights looked so natural and even, it's the best highlight I've ever gotten done on my hair. I have been to many hair salons and they usually don't understand my hair due to the difficult texture of it. When Vanessa finished the highlight, she styled my hair beautifully, making it so straight that you would never know it was originally curly. If you're looking for a salon that truly knows hair and prides itself in understanding all hair textures, then this is the salon for you. Be sure to request Vanessa Pagan, she is the best. This salon is full of passion and professionalism. When I first heard of this place I was nervous trusting a new salon, but they let me voice my wants/ opinion and even sell their own Jon Richard products and always have excellent advice. Worth every penny and you will never hear me moan "time to get a haircut " again. The hair they dye is unbelievable to , they will have your highlights looking like a goddess of beauty, and never a missed root or head full of blonde and brown stripes like a skunk. I judge people off of character "what you are when no one is looking" and their stylists have character! Always cleaning when there is down time and eagerly antcipating your arrival . So call the baby sitter , take a sick day , and get yourself the Jon Richard treatment. I also suggest the East Greenwich location because it is very private and a ease to park any time of day! I have gone to this salon for years now, and always get top service. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. But I have to point out my hairstylist Chelsea. I have been going to her for about 9 years now and she never disappoints. Whether it is a certain cut or desired color, she will give you exactly what you want. I always walk out of there extremely satisfied. What I really love about Chelsea, is she is great at suggestions. Sometimes you want something new, new cut, new style or new color, Chelsea really understands and knows this industry and will give you great advice, something you may have not thought of and will leave you looking amazing. I recommend all my friends to her, and they all rave about her and continue to be repeat customers. Salon is great. I have been going to Jon Richard Salon for many many years. I can have all my needs met in 1 salon which is very convenient for someone like me. I see Laura for my waxing and facials and she is the BEST esthetician around. She meets all my needs for great skin care! I also see Richard for my haircuts and he is truly a genius. I have never seen anyone cut hair like him and to be honest I would never let anyone cut my hair but him. As for Color I see Michelle who is amazing. She always gives me the best color and always listens to me as to what I want and gives an honest opinion as to what she thinks would be a good fit for me. five stars for sure! I have had Nicole as my stylist twice and she has been fabulous. She really listened to what I was telling her about the color I was envisioning. She whipped up a beautiful bright blonde for me and did a fantastic highlight. The color was brilliant! Then came the cut! Wow! I was blown away! It was exactly what I had asked for and she added her own touch/technique to make my hair look a little more full. Nicole was so attentive to my needs. While the color was processing she brought over magazines for me to read while waiting. She even took the time to show me how to curl my hair with a wand which I had been dying to learn! Jon Richards salon in Cranston & East Greenwhich is an amazing salon Richard & Liz are miracle worker. Prior to finding this salon my hair was frizzy curly, brassy blonde & dry. I have been going to Jon Richards for yes now for my Ouidad cut ( curly hair cut ) one of the only salons in Ri certified to do this cut. Now my hair is frizz free manageable bouncy curls & beautiful natural color. Although the initial hair cut is expensive it's infrequent hair cuts only once a year. the staff is professional, pleasant & cirtious. What I was most pleased about although they recommend products they don't push them on you & one time I scheduled a hair apt Richard said " you are not ready for a hair cut, I would just be taking your $" I have a lot of respect for all of them & wouldn't go any where else I highly recommend Jon Richards salon!! read more

Sheila Buchanan is by far the best, friendliest and most talented hair stylists I have ever been to. She works MIRACLES! Now my hair always looks runway ready. Her ability to play with color and tone, while adding fun, fresh layers and styling leaves you walking out feeling like a celebrity every time. I have VERY long hair, and always need highlights, a cut and blow dry...no small task. Sheila is so personable, and the time in her chair is always enjoyable. I was looking for a place to treat my friend for a pedicure for her birthday. I wanted pampering without exorbitant prices. Did we hit the jackpot. The pedicure room is quiet and away from the main salon, making it the perfect place for my friend and I to chat while we got treated to excellent service. Claire and Nicole did our pedicures. They were friendly, professional and fun. My feet have not looked this good in a long time. Then Claire renovated my beat up nails with a full set of tips. She is very contentious and a true artist. They are exactly what I wanted and more. Finally, Jamie whipped my neglected brows into shape with the same smile and professionalism of the rest of the staff. Went last week for the Quidad curly cut with Richard. I am always nervous the first time with a new salon. I was very pleased with the cut and have received many compliments on my look which is quite a bit shorter. I would recommend Richard if you have unruly, curly hair. I also appreciated that although the Quidad products were recommended, Richard did not use high pressure tactics to get me to buy the products then and there. It was easy to get an appointment without waiting a month. My original search for a Quidad stylist in RI pointed me to a salon in No. Providence which didn't have a correct business number in the listing and the owner never returned my calls or texts. She knew exactly what to do for color and gave me the best haircut to compliment my specific face shape. Despite living in several different states and now living in NYC, I always make a point to schedule an appointment with Richard when I'm in town. Very happy with my cut and color!!!! I am so crazy about my hair and who touches it. One of my girlfriends recommended Jon Richard Salon to me and to see Chelsea Gauvin. She is a very bubbly person, knew exactly what i wanted done and when i asked what she thought would look good she actually gave an input. I have been going to this salon over 5 years with Jeanne Hart as my stylist. She is always punctual, friendly and does a great job. She has applied color and cut my hair and most recently applied a keratin treatment to straighten it which has made styling my hair between appointments a breeze! Though I do not use this service, I know she is skilled in extensions as well. Her advice with regard to products has always been spot on. I highly recommend her!
