Horrible. Never calls back, doesn't give a damn about your issues. Very hard to reach, doesn't update other doctors.. I can go on and on...

This has been our go-to for years. They're incredible and I have to share my last experience…read more I brought my kiddo in to the ER with an extreme high fever and lethargy. From the moment we entered the building everyone was so kind and swift on their feet. We were able to get in a room within 15 minutes; they did chest scans and all sorts of tests. My child was nervous and scared but our nurses did everything to comfort her and even brought her coloring books, popsicles and other entertainment to help pass the time. I WISH I got our two nurses names.. they were absolutely out of this world. They kept the mood light and silly for her while providing us with detailed information without scaring her. Thank you ER team!

I am a bit dissatisfied and disappointed with Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. I am a…read morepatient that constantly is seen in the emergency department because of severe underlining health issues. Anyways the emergency department has a lot of construction going on and parking has become a significant problem. A few times I had to park on the lowest parking level far from the emergency department and nobody was available to assist me with a wheelchair, etc. I have also noticed that the waiting area in the emergency department has become more crowded and social distancing has become nearly impossible. What really was concerning is the shortage of nurses and nurse aids when pushing the call bell. Some of the doctors working in the emergency department also seem uninterested and sometimes have been downright rude. Being told by a doctor that coming to an emergency room is a waste of time when I am experiencing heart issues and breathing difficulties is outrageous. My last visit to CHOMP after a major fall and hitting my head on concrete I was released from the emergency department after several hours. I wasn't given clear information about my results and wasn't given information about precautions, etc. However what really got me fuming mad was that I had to walk with horrific pain to my car in the parking lot. My primary doctor and my cardiologist were really shocked when they heard this considering the condition I was in. The staff in the X-Ray and Cat-Scan were great and really went out of their way to ensure I was as comfortable as possible. I was really impressed with their care. Also a triage nurse named Silka who is German was great and she is absolutely one of the better nurses. Many of the old nurses that I know weren't around and I was told many of them are no longer working for CHOMP. I just hope CHOMP gets these issues resolved quickly and takes better care of patients under their care. My rating is three stars.

The hospital actually referred us. He arrived home Friday afternoon and Saturday morning our nurse, Amy, telephoned and scheduled a morning visit. Amy arrived on time, conducted a thorough interview with my husband, assessed his health/vitals and monitored his incision. The following Monday our Physical Therapist, Dominic, called to schedule his first visit with us. He arrived on time, also conducted a thorough verbal interview, checked my husbands wound and started some gentle physical therapy. From there Dominic scheduled two visits per week, always arrived on time, conducted a complete assessment of my husband and gradually increased physical therapy. Dominic always left my husband with "homework" so to speak, gentle exercises for him to do daily between visits to increase strength and stamina. Within three weeks my husband was walking without a walker or cane, was stable on his legs and could walk around the block. Dominic made his final visit this morning as my husband was released to outpatient physical therapy and was also released to drive. We were both very impressed with Amy and especially Dominic. He is very easy to talk to, very forthcoming with information and expectations, and answered all our questions thoroughly. We both feel very informed and ready for the next steps in recovery. I highly recommend Choice Home Health Care for your in home therapy needs and I highly recommend Dominic for home physical therapy treatments. We are both very impressed and very happy with the care that we received.

This is a fallow up of the previous review I did for Heartland Hospice…read more I had called them to pick up their equipment (an oxygen concentrator and a walker) on Monday because I was never admitted as a patient since I ended up in the hospital. They had delivered this equipment right after I had spoken to someone about becoming a patient. I can't believe they even sent me this equipment since I wasn't formally a patient! It is now Friday and the driver who picked up the equipment on Monday forgot the walker and it is still on my porch! Also when I called on Monday the woman I spoke to was very upset with me saying I kept refusing service, three times. I told her to read my Yelp review because it explained that I only refused once when a man wanted to come out to see me on Saturday. I was never asked if I preferred males or females. So he told me a female nurse would call me Sunday and she never did. Then on Monday when a female nurse did come out to do the intake, I told her I had to go to the hospital because I thought I had broken a bone in my foot. The pain was excruciating and I could hardly walk. The nurse told me if I go to the hospital then I can't be a patient of Hospice. Since I needed an x-ray of my foot, I went to the hospital. This is why I was never a patient and it explains why I refused their services only once. If you call that refusing! The bottom line is I cannot recommend this company!

The photo area is always unmanned-- I end up standing there for several minutes before having to track someone down. Customer service is hit or miss, and the checkout lanes remain crowded together with little regard for spacing. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. I stopped in quickly on my way to an event to purchase deodorant, only to find that the barcode wouldn't scan. A passing employee confirmed there was no price in the system at all. After already waiting in line several minutes, this was the final straw-- I left without making a purchase. For such a common item not to even appear in inventory shows a lack of organization and attention to detail. This store gives the impression of being poorly managed and not customer-focused.
