I took about a year long break from bleaching my hair and had completely virgin hair when I came in for my consultation. I showed her a picture of how light my hair used to be and she asked if she could cut off a small section of my hair in order to do a couple of test strands in order to get the correct shade. FYI for this type of appointment you will need to put down a $200 deposit. When I came back for my appointment she showed me the three test strands she did with their corresponding leave in times. I told her which one was my preference and she got to work. The whole process took about 6 hours because she had to do my whole head. If she you have darker hair than me it will probably take more than one appointment!!

I have naturally wavy/curly hair with a somewhat dry texture, and she styles my hair so that it looks good whether I let it air dry or blow it out. She colors my hair with natural looking (and perfectly placed) highlights, and an overall color that really complements my skin tone. For my wedding, she styled my hair in long, loose waves that my hubs said was breathtaking. I know she has a ton of regular clients because I see the folks who come before and after me, and she styles/colors her colleagues' hair, as well. If you see anyone in the shop with bright, bold color (think fuchsia or neon green), that's Regina's amazing work right there. She's professional, friendly, and listens to what I'm requesting while giving her opinion and making suggestions. Can I say I love my stylist? The salon overall is great. I wouldn't say it has the most modern/trendy decor, but it's clean and updated. The receptionists are super friendly and are good about making appointment reminder calls. I've given this salon multiple chances, but my recent experience was deeply upsetting, particularly involving my child. Rocio has repeatedly displayed a cold, dismissive, and visibly irritated demeanor--as if she doesn't want to be there or serve clients at all. During our last visit, I asked her to make a small adjustment to my child's hairstyle. Instead of responding professionally, she yanked my child's hair in a way that caused visible discomfort and left my child in tears. As a parent, witnessing your child cry from pain in what should be a safe, service-oriented environment is absolutely unacceptable. This wasn't an isolated incident. I've noticed this behavior from Rocio on multiple occasions, and it's clear that whatever personal frustrations she's dealing with are being taken out on customers--especially troubling when it involves children. There is no place in any service industry--let alone a salon working with families--for behavior that borders on physical aggression. What happened to my child was not only unprofessional; it was emotionally upsetting and physically painful. Parents, please be cautious when booking services here. I hope the management takes this seriously before someone else gets hurt.

There are several styles offered in their stylebook and there are also add-on options (gloss, oil, sealant, braid, etc.) for an upcharge. My personal favorite styles are the mai tai or the cosmo-tai. Your stylist will also ask if you want product and every time I say yes, my hair has literally lasted for days! Tip can be added onto credit card as well upon checkout.

Rency was patient, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. The shampoo, cut, and blow dry did not take long at all. It turned out exactly the way I wanted. I'm very low maintenance and did not want any complicated layers or bangs and he delivered with approximately 8" taken off, framing, and texturing. Rency has many years of experience cutting men, women, and kids. I would recommend him and plan to return in the future.
