Crazy delicious and stylish ice cream shop. Maybe because I came from the city, the atmosphere felt calm and relaxing, which was great. The reason it's so popular is probably simple -- the ice cream is really good. The staff were kind and friendly.

Great customer service, quite a variety of ice cream flavors, cup or waffle cone. Quick service. $22 for two waffle cones with two scoops of ice cream in each. I had a scoop of pistachio ice cream and one of blackberry (or boysenberry). Very good! Seating inside and outdoors. Two younger women working there were very friendly, helpful and great ice cream.

Delicious ice cream and good, quick service! The inside does feel a bit sterile, but there are lovely outdoor tables. We loved the blackberry and caramel flavors and will stop again next time we are in the area!

Got the baby scoop (one scoop) of the chocolate and one scoop of the peanut butter. Cool flavors, nice vibes, pleasant staff. $7 for one scoop--hefty prices ;)

Again, another shop in Murphy's town that offered amazing customer service. So, let me just say that I came in with a group of girls which consisted of my friend who was the bride and her bridesmaids. We had just finished wine tasting and for some strange reason we thought it was a great idea to get ice cream. I actually couldn't eat very much ice cream and the girl that was working the counter was sweet enough to give me a tiny little kids cup and like half a scoop. We then purchased some of the merchandise and overall the flavors were great. At least, the bridal party was having a great time and didn't complain about the ice cream at all!

LOVE this ice cream shop for so many reasons. The service, flavors of ice cream, and how quick and easy it is to get in and out. However the prices are STEEP. I'm from the Bay Area and it $7 for one scoop of ice cream, I find that outrageous. Regardless I'd still stop in again (because it's one of the only ice cream places in town).

Great flavors and service. The vibe is very nice and the staff have positive energy, are patient, and work fast. You can tell that their ice cream is made with natural ingredients. I recommend the Salty River of Gold (salted caramel) and Island Paradise (coconut). Customer service is also very good. If you don't like the flavor you got, they re-scoop it for free! I love how along with a description of the flavor, there is a quick summary of basically what the flavor is so you know exactly what you'll be tasting. Overall, the ice cream is very tasty and service is good. Highly recommended!!

Stopped in Murphys on the way up to Lake Alpine for the weekend. They advertise they are homemade artisan ice cream. Most artisan ice cream shops I have frequented offer you a taste of the flavor. This one doesn't. I opted for a summer peach flavor and a mint chip flavor. It was $9 for a 2-scoop cup. The mint was ok. I didn't care for the peach and ended up throwing it away. It didn't taste fresh to me like other artisan ice cream I have had. My husband got a chocolate flavor that had Ghirardelli chocolate in it, and he was happy with his. My husband likes the heavier creamier, sweeter stuff, so if that's you you may be happy here. For me, I prefer a lighter fresher taste. And for the price it wasn't worth it for me. On the positive, even though they didn't allow us tastes, they were very welcoming to our dog and gave him a pup cup, so props for that!

Great flavor options and I LOVED the waffle bowl! Little costly as I felt the scoops are on the small end... but super creamy with a wide variety of! Small little spot with no place to sit so you take it and leave. Service was average.

Artisan ice cream without the pretentious-ness of some other specialty shops. They have fair prices for generous scopes and the flavor and quality are excellent. This place is busy but they keep the line moving quickly and orders are up before you know it. Tried the pineapple coconut sorbet and it was perfection. The flavors really came through, it wasn't overly sweet and there was a nice texture. They have some basic flavors as well as a mix of unique choices that included about 5 vegan options. Minimal seating inside and a few tables out front. This is more of a "take it and walk down the street with it" type of spot. Nice staff and very efficient along with excellent ice cream make this a great stop in downtown Murphy's.

SO GOOD. Workers were nice and sweet. NO SAMPLES no complaints though. i loved the "me want cookie" and "cha cha chocolate". this town is so touristy so i thought the icecream would be average, but it is so good! Look at what we finished.

My One and Conely Happy National Ice Cream Day! 7/17/22 Located in Downtown Murphys, JoMa's serves up small-batch, homemade ice cream to go along with their housemade waffle cones/bowls. The Good: *Curated menu with not-quite 31 flavors but enough options to keep everyone happy. *Housemade cones *Huge portions--just look at my pic of "baby" waffle cone scoop! *Inside and outdoor dining *Ice cream was delicious and had a great texture. The Meh: *Service was friendly but not ice cream shop friendly, savvy? *I feel like the flavors could've been a lot stronger (á la Salt & Straw), but I was overruled by my better half on this. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Ugly: *Nothing with the restaurant, but this family came in, and the dad asked his (obv) trophy wife and two tween kids: "Who wants ice cream?!" *crickets* Wtf is wrong with kids these days? -_- TLDR: Great spot in DT Murphys to get your ice creams on.

Ordered the coffee almond fudge but didn't taste much like coffee. I mentioned it to the girls working there they didn't seem to care.

Super tasty spot in the summer heat. I really like the cherry and lemon tart. We'll have to try one of the cakes soon.

Since they let us do two half scoops of two different flavors, I ended up getting the cinnamon caramel and pumpkin spice. The pumpkin spice was good, but the cinnamon caramel was amazing. My wife didn't even plan on getting ice cream, but I gave her a taste of the cinnamon caramel, and she ended up ordering a scoop. Overall, really cool place. The prices were reasonable, and I like that they let you do a 50/50 scoop, incase you can't decide between two. If you're in town and have a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend stopping by.

They have a lot of more ice cream flavors as well as candy but nothing beats their chocolate milkshake with whip cream and a chocolate drizzle every time, yum!!! The service is wonderful every time I come here the guys working here are VERY nice patient, helpful, and make a BOMB milkshake! It does get busy in here especially on a hot summer day and they are on top of it! They also have a wall of candy and funny stickers you can look at and they just so happened to have my favorite "cow tail" candy's!! So I had to get a handful of those with my milkshake, the vibe is very chill and the employees make it that much better by being ever so friendly!!! 100000/10 will come back for my chocolate milkshake everytime I'm in Angels Camp!

Party of 4: Sunday @ 19:00p - No reservation required…read more We walked in just about an hour prior to closing. My eye caught two words on the menu "Ribeye Steak" which did not disappoint at all. Then, came a long wait for a server to come. Once they did, after tables who had been seated after us, they offered us water that also took a long time. One of our servers was so kind, I didn't catch her name, but she brought our water and took our orders very efficiently, but was friendly. We ordered the fried cauliflower and alchemy burgers. Once the cauliflower came, our waiter told us that a cook had walked out mid-dinner rush had left them low on production. This didn't really explain the wait for service but we understood. I didn't get photos of the burgers when they came, because our table was pretty hungry after the long wait! The presentation of the food was ok but the food itself was pretty delicious. The fries were very flavorful and the burgers were cooked a perfect medium rare. We also got a butter pecan sundae that was very large, but good. If the food and that one waiter had not been so good, I would probably take more stars. If you are going to come here, I recommend having a lot of time and patience. 5 stars for the food, 2 stars for the service. Knowing this, I would be tentative to come back if we got the same experience in terms of service.

TLDR. Awesome food and even better on a Tuesday on the patio with your dog and family…read more Recently went to Grounds for a late lunch this week. Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. Highly recommend and will be back!
