Get that spicy bucket of chicken! At first it's mediocre, but that spicness intensifies and creeps up on you, and bam that chicken is S-P-I-c-y ! Have a beverage nearby , you may need it. Chicken is crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside . My only compliant is that the cashier didn't give me my change back right away; I had to ask for it . Kinda strange!
First time I tried Jollibee was in NY (I'll write separate review) but I totally forgot to try the pie there-- so, naturally, had to go to the closest one to me and that was Delano! I don't set out to eat fried chicken or chicken sandwiches much (except for one, I'll write that review soon enough) but my bf does and so do my siblings... that's why I have more chicken reviews than I'd expect. This visit was with my sister. Everyone knows (well, I think they do) that Jollibee is a Filipino establishment-- Filipino comfort food. A bunch of happy, attentive Filipinos here and they make you feel welcomed... super friendly staff. We got the Spicy Chicken and the Yum Burger. The chicken comes with gravy... I got a side of the Adobo rice and a soda (free refills). The chicken was good. It was fresh, it was crispy-- but nothing out of the ordinary. Nothing spicy about it though imo also. The Yumburger is a super simple, single patty burger with some sweet-tangy sauce... I appreciate good, simple burgers lol so does my sister. We enjoyed it. The Adobo rice is good, but again, nothing special... to me, it's just rice with soy sauce and a little extra flavoring-- but I like basic rice, so it's good in my book. Gravy is okay, I've never been much of a gravy girl so... not much to say. I didn't eat much of it. Okay, so the winner-winner of this chicken dinner was absolutely the Peach-Mango Pie!! Sooooo freaking good! I crave it randomly every now and then... it's soo tempting to want to drive an hour for some damn pie but it's also a blessing being so far-- dangerous! They make it fresh. It's hot, it's crispy, it's bursting with flavor... delicious! Ugh, just writing this is making me want one. We also got a couple of the Ube pies... those are good too but I'd choose the Peach-Mango over the Ube if given an ultimatum. For just the food alone-- it's a 3 for me. But, because of the pie, they get a 4. The pie is the only reason I'd want to go back... everything else is a bonus.
There's no Jollibee in town so whenever there's that craving we stop by for their spicy chickenjoy with gravy. I ordered their spicy chicken with adobo rice, spaghetti, mango peach pie and a lychee tea. For my little man he wanted the chicken tenders with fries. Quick to take our order but there's a bit of a wait where there's plenty of big orders ahead of us. We dined in and it's like any fast food dining. Everyone is pretty quiet eating because it's always that good. See you guys again when the craving hits.
I just love this place! You enter inside and are greeted by a host of people...points for making you feel welcome straight away. They won't rush you with your order. And when you're ready, they actually explain to you the various choices you have on the ways you can save on value meals. I just love it when there are actual people around to help you...compared to the robotic-feel of the now McD... The place was very nice and well lit! There's a lot of seating available for you to choose from. And it was clean. The table we chose was spotless. I guess they have staff regularly checking on the status of these tables. The food was great. We had the fried chicken, spaghetti, a pie and a pineapple drink. We wanted to try out more items, but there's only so much a tummy can take in. We'll save it for next time! If you're in the neighbourhood, you just have to try them out. Highly recommended!
Jollibee Delano did not disappoint. As expected, the chicken was excellent--crispy, juicy, and honestly even better than what I remember from the Philippines. The spicy variant is absolutely to die for, with just the right kick that keeps you wanting more. I also highly recommend trying the Aloha Burger. It brought back so many nostalgic memories from my childhood growing up in the Philippines--the flavors are just as comforting and satisfying as I remember. On top of that, the service was excellent--friendly, fast, and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Overall, the experience was spectacular. From the food quality to the feeling of familiarity, it's definitely a place I'd keep coming back to.
Heard about this place from one of my Filipino co-workers who swore up and down it was the real deal. So now everytime I head toward LA or find myself down in Delano for work or whatever, I try to swing by. It's about an hour drive from where I live, so not exactly around the corner, but worth the detour. This visit, I had some business in Delano anyway, so it was a good excuse to kill two birds with one stone and get my fix. I always go for the 2pc spicy Chickenjoy meal. That stuff is crispy, juicy, and got a little kick to it that hits just right. Comes with a regular side (I got the mash and gravy, which was solid), and a drink. But the real reason I'm hooked is the peach mango pies. Not even gonna lie--I got more than one. Don't judge me. Those things are fire. Crispy shell, gooey sweet filling. I don't share 'em either. Restaurant was clean and the staff greeted us right away when we walked in the door. Felt welcoming without bein too much. Ordering was quick, and food came out hot. The Jollibee mascot out front is a trip--can't help but take a pic with it. Big goofy smile and red tux... he's like the Filipino Ronald McDonald, but cooler. If you've never had Filipino-style fast food, this is a fun intro. Not your average burger and fry joint, and honestly it's better than most of the big chain places. I'm already lookin forward to my next excuse to stop by again.
Service was fine & ambiance is typical for this kinda place but I'd add that for fast food it's very clean looking. Asked for my chicken to be super hot & fresh. And twice now, they've delivered the most tender, well seasoned, outright juicy & perfectly crunchy chicken. It easily rivals THE BEST Korean fried chicken I've had. The gravy really makes it! The palabok is where I'd mark them down. The noodles were way overcooked & stuck together in a clump. The sauce is absolutely delicious but there's not nearly enough of it. Would be better if the noodles were cooked in a generous amount of sauce or if they simply weren't so gelatinous. But since everything else is perfect, I can't knock them down. The spaghetti was perfect! TBH, I tried Jollibee once in SF like 20 yrs ago & it was horrible. I remember the spaghetti in particular as being sickeningly sweet but this is perfectly balanced. A bit sweet, a bit smoky but the spaghetti is actually perfectly al dente. The pineapple drink is perfect too. Tastes fresh & pure & not too sweet. The ube & peach/mango pies are THE BEST of any fast food joint. Ok, I haven't had many fast food pies, but these blow away any I have had. They're super crunchy & the filling tastes fresh & real. Second time, got a 6 pack for future treats! Recommendation, if you're eating on the go or if you're like me & don't like getting dirty, get gloves! No greasy hands afterwards. Let me also say, I have to drive 75 min to get here, but I've done it twice inside a few weeks. So what does that say?!?! You need Jollibee in your life.
It was our first time here and it was ok. The chicken was kinda bland, the service was rushed, the girl was not paying attention to my order. The palabok was great though.
Ordered the Angus cheeseburger. This is not the normall cuisine for Jollibee. Customer service is always Filipino friendly. The workers speaking Tagalog brings fond memories of my home country.
Being Filipino means I've been to many Jollibee's. This location in Delano was by far the best. It was clean, spacious, and had fast service. Even the restrooms were clean. Jollibee's are notorious for being out of multiple items at any given time. Not the case at this location. The chicken, spaghetti, and burger steak were all good. The only thing amiss was their Pepsi tasted a bit off. Other than that, great experience. Too bad this location is so far from Fresno.
Spicy, crispy, and umami ! What is there not to love. Jolibee gets a lot of comparisons to KFC however I don't think the seasoning is the same at all! The spicy fried chicken is flavorful without being overly salty likes it's competitor. Spicy fried chicken 5/5 a small kick but not overly spicy that it burns your taste buds. Served with a gravy on the side for dipping. This made my heart so happy Sweet spaghetti, 3/5 I'm either not a fan of sweet spaghetti or I just didn't grow up eating it enough for me to love it. Very flavorful and the side is a good portion Adobo rice 10/5. This was the best side there. Period. I can eat a whole tray of this rice. In one sitting it was that good. Not to be compared to the Chinese fried rice. This had a flavor profile all on its own! Service was nice, I even heard them speaking Tagalog to the older customers which made my heart melt ! Ambiance is that of a casual "fast food" joint This was a pit stop on my drive from Fresno to LA and I think I will make this stop to Jollibee every time I have to drive to Los Angeles
Always wanted to try Jollibee. It's been months since I had it, just now reviewing the spot. The chicken was great! Fluffy, light, good texture and flavored, and went well with the gravy -- which is new for me, a new way to dip and eat as I'm not a gravy person. Had to try some of the sandwiches and spaghetti, which were all really good. I couldn't really believe how good the spaghetti was in how different it tasted and how complimentary the chicken and macaroni-&-cheese was with it. This is probably the closest Jollibee to me, would definitely recommend the restaurant and great service location (despite that one mishap funky inverted tile), and would definitely return if I'm ever in the area.
Had a great experience going here celebrating Christmas Day with a treat at Jollibee! We were driving down to LA for Christmas and haven't eaten all day. It's been a long while since we've gone to a Jollibee and it was on the way. Upon entering the area, the place was clean, and it was a pretty full place! The cashier who took care of us was nice and patient since we weren't sure what to order. I got the chicken with spaghetti and my partner got Korean bbq burger and Aloha burger. The Kbbq burger and spaghetti was a 5/10, but the chicken and Aloha burger was *chef's kiss*. Will be coming here again!

Ordered a chicken sandwich with jalapeños and they only gave me 2 small pieces of jalapeños. I asked for extra spicy sauce but they refuse to give me any and wanted to charge me an extra $1. They barely put spicy sauce on my sandwich. It was extremely dry and disappointing. I also ordered a family meal and was given 3 napkins. Went in to ask for more and received 3 more. read more

Been here a couple of times to pick up food as I'm driving between bakersfield and visalia. It's in a large shopping center across from Walgreens. Plenty of parking for pick up and dine in. And a nicely set up drive thru area as well. Several large tables to sit at inside and clean restrooms. Their menu is pretty extensive. From chicken wings and legs, to sandwiches, to spaghetti, to palobok, to mango pies to lemonade drinks and all sorts of combinations. The food comes out quickly. Prices are not bad. And the flavors are on point. Their chicken is crunchy, but tender and moist inside. Amd lathering it in gravy makes it taste so much better. Their mango pies are always a nice sweet treat. Goes great with coffee. Their spaghetti is always a nice difference from traditional spaghetti. And their palobok reminds me of the Phillippines. Definitely a solid place to get some great filipino food. It's nice that they have the option of family size as well as a personal size option too. read more

I don't go here all the time but when I do it definitely hits the spot. This Filipino fusion fast food place gives you a little warm fuzzy feeling inside. If you craving crunchy tasty juicy and dipping them into a delicious gravy well you're in for a treat! LOL These pictures were taken on separate occasions. I usually will go for a combination either chicken joy with palabok or chicken joy with spaghetti, such a tasty combo.. Tip the gravy's good on everything!! LOL I wish they would have the Ube pies again.. read more

We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. I sauce on the sandwich was good! But could of used a little more heat or season for the chicken. The chicken itself I felt like it could of been a little better with batter. I still prefer Popeyes chicken sandwich. Still worth a try We ordered pineapple drink and I personally don't like it. The taste that I can best describe it is, when you open a can of pineapple juice and pour it over ice. I wouldn't get the drink again. We ordered the peach mango pie, it was fresh and hot. When we took a bite it oozed out pie. It's filled up which is nice. Worth the try and will get again. We ordered the chicken bucket Spicy and regular. Really good chicken and it was fresh and crunchy. I think it's the perfect crunch. Worth the try and will get again. It's a very clean and small area. Restrooms are not gendered coded. Only 2 restrooms and both restrooms has the changer for your baby. I thought this was pretty thoughtful to put a changer in both restrooms. Overall, the food was good and I would recommend to family and friends. read more

For those of you who do not know, Jollibee is a fast food chain from the Philippines. When I am in the Philippines, I take all the Jollibee locations for granted because they are everywhere. Since I live in Kern County, I do not take them for granted here. I was ecstatic when I found out that Jollibee had finally opened a location in Kern County. Delano is about a 40 mile from my house, but it is worth the trip. Last month, my wife and I got the chance to go to this Delano Jollibee branch. It was about 10am on a Sunday morning. Happily, there was no long lines like there had been when they first opened. No indoor dining was allowed at the time cause of covid health protocols. We were craving a Filipino breakfast, but to our dismay there is no breakfast served here. I guess only the branches in the Phiippines make Tapsilog, Tocilog, Longsilog, etc. for breakfast. So that was a disappointment. We ended up ordering a Chicken Joy and Palabok meal to share plus some Peach Mango Pie!! The Chicken Joy was good as what is served in the Philippines. It is Fried chicken cooked Filipino style! The Palabok was yummy too! The Peach Mango Pie did not disappoint! It is always a perfect ending to a meal at Jollibee!! Was disappointed that they were out of the limited edition Ube Pie though,. Thank you Jollibee for finally coming to my home county!! I see that a branch will be opening in Bakersfield too! Until then, Delano is the place to go! read more
Let me start off by saying, I'm excited for the city of Delano. It's great to see the growth in this community. Growing up here, we have a large Filipino present in the city Delano. Them opening a Jollibee was a very smart decision. Not only do we have a large Filipino present in Delano but also in the little towns near us; Bakersfield, Porterville etc. One of the great thing is, this location is near the 99 freeway so it's great for travelers to stop by Delano to grab a quick bite (since we are in the middles of LA and San Francisco) while traveling up and down California. If you've eaten Jollibee before then it's tastes the same lol for the people that haven't had Jollibee, it's like a Filipino KFC with rice and gravy. My favorite thing to order is the breakfast and the chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more
4th visit 3:15 PM on a Friday, 6 cars in the drive through, got my food in about 10 minutes. Palabok is a rice noodle with toppings and sauce. Not a repeat for me- but the ChickenJoy- Oh Yeah! Ube pie - ube is a purple yam so, unsurprisingly, it tasted like a sweet potato pie. , but starchy, not sweet. Actually closer to Hawaiian Poi than sweet potato pie. Purple food looks cool but not a repeat. read more

We did not expect to find it in Delano, CA. We are just passing by the 99fwy and tried to find fast food on our phone then it showed that we are 5 mins away. We are so happy at the perfect timing. Yea chicken has the same consistency, crispy outside, tender and moist inside. Service is exceptional. Staff are great. My wife saw the pineapple juice and try to exchange our soda, they did not even charge us and just gave us a new cup with pineapple juice at no extra charge. Well recommended. read more

Chicken Sandwiches were not available & Spicy chicken wasn't available yet I was told by the lady taking orders. Kids love the spaghetti! Fiesta Palabok has always been my fave (would drive 2-3 hours to LA just to go to Jollibee) and of course the chicken is always crispy and delicious. Went around 3pm and wasn't busy at this location, waited 30 min in the drive thru. Love the Peach Mango pie as well, so good! Have not tried Yumburger, Burger Steak & Adobo Rice, can't wait to come back and try it! read more

Delano is growing more and more. I'm so happy that the community now has a Jollibee, a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants! There's chicken, spaghetti, burgers, and more. Our family enjoys the food! The employees implement great service, even under the stress of long lines and assisting customers. I've visited more than once since their opening and definitely going back again for more! #chickenjoy read more

This new-ish restaurant in Delano is somewhat akin to the Filipino version of either Popeyes or KFC. Mainly buckets of fried chicken and you can choose between mild and spicy. I've had them both ways before and o have to say I prefer the spicy. Today, however I went with the Steakburger plate which featured two hamburger style Pattie's drenched in a delicious gravy and covered with mushrooms. Also a side of steamed rice was included to soak up all that gravy. There are other items to choose from including palabok or spaghetti. They also serve burgers and their service is always fast and friendly. read more

Well, the prices have gone up and they got rid of the Ube Pies! But the Chickenjoy is still great though! I listed the menu items I've tried so far and whether or not I recommend them: (Yes) 6-piece Chickenjoy bucket ($10.99 and comes with a side of gravy): Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, minimal breading, not overly seasoned just perfectly fried chicken! The gravy is amazing! Perfectly seasoned and just the right thickness. Best gravy I've ever had! (No) 6-piece Spicy Chickenjoy bucket ($10.99 and comes with a side of gravy): I like spicy food, but, I don't care for whatever spice they are using on their chickenjoy. It tastes like extract to me (unpleasant heat with a bitter flavor) and I would suggest using Crystal or your favorite hot sauce along with the regular chickenjoy instead if you want spicy chicken. (Yes) Cheesy Yumburger ($3.99): A delicious and simple cheese burger with a YUMmy sauce. It has a soft and delicious bun. The patty is a bit thicker than some other fast food places. The meat tastes more 'hamburgery' to me (if that makes sense lol). I would get it again. (Yes) Jolly Spaghetti ($4.99): Overall it tastes good with a deliciously sweet sauce. Sometimes they don't give you enough sauce to coat all the noodles (you are meant to mix it in yourself) and the hot dog pieces can be a bit rubbery and dry. I would suggest asking for extra sauce ($1.99) just in case. (Yes) Peach Mango Pies ($2.49 ea.): Warm, crispy, and sweet perfection! I usually don't get dessert from fast food restaurants (since the food itself has enough sugar) but these are just too good to pass up! (No) Banana Langka Pies ($2.49 ea.): These are made with plantains (not dessert bananas) and jackfruit. I do like plantains in other dishes, but, they didn't work for me in this pie. Too mild in flavorful and not sweet enough for me. Unfortunately, these Banana Langka Pies are what has replaced the Ube Pies which were made from sweetened purple yam and were oh so good. Please bring them back!! (No) Palabok Fiesta ($5.99): Based on the description, I fully expected to love this, but, they went so mild on the flavor it tasted like I was munching on plain noodles! (Yes) Mashed Potatoes ($2.49 reg.): Creamy and paired with their gravy. So, of course it's delicious! (No) Adobo Rice Side ($2.49 ea.): This was just okay, but, I wouldn't get it again. Very mildly flavored and not too different from the plain steamed rice. (No) Spicy Chickenwich ($3.99 ea.): Same problem with their choice of spice used on the chicken. I did like the sriracha mayo they used on the brioche bun and the fresh jalapenos were a nice touch. But, as is, I would not get this again. Maybe they would let you swap the spicy chicken piece with an original one since they are the same price. Can't hurt to ask! I'll update this review as I try other items. read more

I normally LOVE Jollibee, and I've had nothing but good experiences except for today. I was so excited to try their chicken sandwich today and it smelled heavenly....so imagine my surprise at the first bite when I saw it was undercooked. I spat out my first bite to see that that piece was ALSO undercooked. In chicken...that's not something I mess around with. I'm highly wary as of now and I caution anyone who orders this. I've never had an issue with their chicken in general before and this really dampens my otherwise spotless experience. read more

Food is mediocre and not worth it in my opinion. I noticed they deep fry the ube pies with the same oil as the chicken. I believe that is cross contamination. I know this because the pie had the same chicken taste which made the ube pie taste discusting. The Adobo fried rice was not that great. Didnt taste like adobo, just taste like rice with seasoning. Overall, 2 stars because they finally have a jollibee near by. read more
