Given distance and traffic, I knew I'd…read morehave only 1 shot at getting the job right or the customer would have gone without water for a second day. None of the parts were available locally at Home Depot, my go-to, because I needed an odd-size, 1-1/4. So I went to Rubenstein's a bought 600+ dollars of parts, and I told the counter guys "this stuff is probably all coming back, I wish you had a restocking fee because it's only fair that I pay for borrowing the parts." they just waved me off and assured me come on back we'll take care of you. At the end of the day, only the most expensive part, the valve, and 1 other part was needed to close up the line, finish the job, and put a smile on my customer's face. Two days later, I returned everything else and the guys were unfailingly upbeat and helpful. For a plumbing store, in this particular situation, this is unusual. I left feeling good about the whole process.

There's some confusion on their operating hours. If you are there to pick up, you can enter…read morethrough their small pickup department to the right of the store and they open at 8am. But if you are there for the showroom or to talk to the sales people, the show room opens at 10am. When we got there it was 9:15am, so we waited outside and as the time went, more people lined up as they all thought they opened at 8. Once inside, the sales people are very friendly and nice. Kyle helped me out given my contact was on vacation. They are not on commission base, so there's less selling pressure. He showed me all the fixtures, the bidet options, the sink and their bathroom could be double used as a showroom. You can certainly try the bidet setup there to get a feel of an upgrade from the normal toilet. I like the sink they carry which is Toto and the maintenance is easy. Kyle was detail-oriented and he even discussed the option of having the overflow drain on the inside or facing the outside. After the discussion, once he puts a quote together for the items we were interested in, the rest could be done via email. So after shopping around, we emailed him about what we wanted and asked more questions for other items' specs. Everything was done on email and was convenient. After we finalize the decisions and Kyle put in the sales order, I just need to call them to pay with credit card. The whole process is seamless. Discounts are also applied if the contractor has an account with them. Once we had the order, I just need to drop it to the contractor and they will do the pickup. Easy peasy.....

Their tools are top-notch too. I believe them when they say they don't carry anything less than "good" quality, and the pricing is more than fair. I just bought a set of drills from them and I would have paid more at Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon for an inferior product. Call or stop by in person, this is not an online store in any way.

After two months of repeated "rescheduling" I began searching online to see if I could find a replacement. The exact model came up on the Appliance Hub website, so i decided to look into it. I called the store and the attendant took a generous amount of time to respond to my inquiry, and to answer my questions about why their unit was priced $600 less than anywhere else I had seen it (i.e. was there something wrong with it...?) She explained about the service that AH provides of supplying new appliances at reduced cost because either the box may have been opened and then returned or unopened boxes may have been returned, in which case AH obtains them and offers brand new, unused appliances for much less. Genious. The great deal was not, however, the most impressive part of my experience...the communication and customer service were excellent. I did everything by phone and text, had my new refrigerator within a week, and had constant, real person updates throughout the week. Anytime i replied to their messages, a personal response came back almost immediately. This company is a model for excellence on many levels. I'm so happy that my old order failed so that i could discover the Appliance Hub. Very impressed.

I had first researched them a couple of years ago and ended up not replacing my refrigerator at that time. I should've just Done it back then! I had initially learned about them from OfferUp. I even sent him questions asking about appliances back then! He responded promptly and even gave me other options with no pressure at all! This time around, we were forced into finding something quickly when our 20-year-old refrigerator finally gave out. From start to finish by buying experience was easy and awesome with incredible deal and I got exactly what I wanted. Rafael made the already stressful experience for us very easy. The only stress I have with deciding between the two refrigerators. I had narrowed my choices down to! Excellent prices on the appliances and delivery! As soon as we entered the store, Rafael welcomed us warmly, and after a few questions he was able to show us a few refrigerators based on our needs and what we were looking for. He showed us everything from the new fridge to the scratch and dents and what he had on sale. We don't care about scratch and dent because we have kids calendars and magnets all over the refrigerator anyway. I was able to get a fridge at half the cost of what I was expecting to pay , with delivery taxes and take away my old fridge included in that price! They delivered my refrigerator and even took away my old one. They're very communicative about when they would be there to deliver at the time of purchase and even on the day of to update me on the timeframe and when they were 15 minutes away! Freddy and his partner (I unfortunately did not get his name) we're punctual, polite and very careful with the fridge and my walls! They took care to place the refrigerator where I wanted it to and even did the initial set up for me! I even received a follow up text a few days later to see how everything was and how we liked our refrigerator! I absolutely love it, and I love the excellent and genuine Customer Service! I almost forgot to add how easy it was to pay for the refrigerator! Everything was done via phone. I got a receipt on my phone and even a paper receipt to take home if you're in need of financing, they have an excellent option as well. 1000 out of 10 stars!

It has been my pride and honor, my bread and butter, and honestly one of the best things that I have taken the time to learn how to do with my hands. Within the time of my short career, there have been many a stores that I have came across to try out, and to see what they have to offer to make my job easier and more enjoyable, and if you live in the bay area, there really arn't too many places that you can go to for the specialized craft of taping besides AMES. However, among the few and far between each AMES location has its own values, merits, and above all, personality. When you are looking at a full day of sanding, or a full day of running the box, it's the small things that can make or break your attitude for the day. With that said, there are not many places within the U.S. that can measure up to the service, the knowledge, and the good vibes that Estella and Victoria provide. These two are the dynamic duo to the fullest and are honestly the main reason I return to this specific location day after day for all of my taping needs! Estella, the Grand Master of making things happen and knowing all things taping. If you are a taper, or if you know a taper, or if you run your own company of tapers, you know Estella. Estella is the backbone of this location and from the amount of information that flows through her, at times, it feels like this company, I honestly don't know what they would do without her. Ever time I have walked through those doors she has always greeted me with respect and put me up on game from the time to I was an apprentice, to now where I am a journeyman standing on my own. Some of the best customer service in the industry could be learned from this woman. She has always gone above and beyond for her clients and customers, specially when a payment was due! lol But also more than that, whatever special tool that you needed, she was right there on phone trying her best to get it in her shop, whatever new tool that came out, she gave her honest opinion about it. Among other things, she was and always will be the Godmother!! Victoria, next to every Queen is another one that has the others back! and this is what Victoria was to Estella, another Queen that had her back. From what I have seen throughout my years she has really grown into herself and has held her own. Dare I say, Victoria is one of the best assets that this company has. These days, it's hard to find someone with the same spirit, determination, and dedication to her job than Victoria. She has just as much knowledge as Estella and always has a big smile while she is at work. I look forward to conducting my business with her every time I walk through those doors with the name AMES on them. I don't believe that I have ever walked in to the store and they have ever been backed up when it came to paperwork, or inventory. Even if Victoria had a lot of work to do she has always put the customer first which I have always appreciated. She is such a hard worker, I think any company would be lucky to have her. I can see her as being a manager of her own store someday, I know she deserves it! All in all, I have been to all of the AMES locations in the bay area and with everything that I have just wrote I'm sure that you can tell why. This is one of the best locations that AMES has to offer. Superior Drywall Applications (My company) definitely recommends AMES to get all of your taping needs, and this location specifically due to the overwhelming support one receives from these ladies who run this shop. They truly are the best, and any company would be stupid to loose these two wonderful employees willingly, just the same as they would be lucky to have them, in which this case, this company is!
