Since going into business by himself he has continued to provide great service. Just this spring my 30+ year old heat pump and air handler bit the dust. JD came out found out what the problem was and discussed the problem and options I had to get my air back on. Weighing all my options I decided to have a new system put in. JD took his time to measure everything and find me an affordable new system that would work with my existing setup. He didn't try to up sell me anything and was open and honest about the whole process. There was a problem that arose when he started the install. He had to locate a much needed item that the manufacturer of the new unit neglected to provide. While he tracked down the part needed he kept me informed of what was going on. There were a few other problems that came up with the install but JD took his time and got everything up and running before this heat wave began. He went above and beyond what anyone else would have done to get the job done right He made sure everything was working and running properly before leaving for the day. It felt like a ripoff, I knew I'd have to call them again in a few months, so I looked for someone else, and got a response from John. His prices are very fair, and I liked how he explained very clearly what the problems were. Everything he said made sense, there was no bs. He added refrigerant, and indeed found a leak at the coil, and found contaminants in the refrigerant. He explained the only viable solution long term is to replace the coil, which I had already suspected. He contacted the manufacturer, and turns out they'd cover the parts. He also noted some deficiencies in how the furnace was installed, which the home inspector missed.

He also said one of the compressors sounded like it might be going. We decided I needed a new system. The quote he gave me for a 4 ton heat pump was over $21,000!!! I called a second company and told them of the issues. The second technician wanted to diagnose my current system before quoting a price on a new one. He got the system running with NO NEW PARTS. While I appreciate this company for making it out to my rental in a timely manner and addressing a…read moreclogged toilet, there are just some things that don't sit right with me and I think people need to be aware of. #1- they were called for a CLOGGED TOILET. I (the landlord) was not able to be present during the repair. Instead of just addressing the issue at hand, they walked around my entire house to include the basement and pointed out to her several things. ("Water pipes needed to be completely replaced, along with all the sewer lines", etc). I've had repairs done on the sewer lines last year and had a clean out installed by another company. This is totally noticeable because it looks brand new. The sewer line is fine. #2- i believe this was a fear-mongering tactic used to try to get more work and money out of her. Taking advantage of her not understanding these things. Again, they were called for a clogged toilet. Not a "broken water line", not a "backed up sewer", none of that. #3- the fill valve in the toilet needs to be "repaired". They quoted me $400 to repair a fill valve, flapper and supply line. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! A total rebuild kit costs $30 at Lowe's. They told her that she would need to replace the entire water tank as well. *** Can I just mention that a brand new toilet costs $100 at Lowe's??*** This is really sad and honestly criminal. I hope to god that you don't try this on anyone who doesn't know any better. I've been around this type of work my entire life and never have I EVER seen this kind of pricing. Absolutely not happening. Reevaluate your prices and be honest about what you're doing. Thanks for responding and unclogging the toilet quick, though. I do appreciate that.
