Most higher end companies look at your system not only to find the problem but see other "possibilities" that could harm your system in the future. Although for some older systems this may be true but most of the time, they are just trying to scare you into buying things you don't need. They are trained to use "scare" tactics into frightening you to go with their overpriced equipment and hourly rate. I was trained to take care of customers the way I want to be taken care of when I need service. Not just to sell. You keep customers through honesty and integrity.

I then called Carter's Heating & Cooling, who put in our HVAC when we built 10 years ago here at the lake. It turns out they also ran the propane line to the house. Greg Carter was very responsive, and Jamie came out first thing the next morning. After doing an initial check of things, he disassembled the cooktop and found the leak at the regulator. Interestingly, we had a local appliance repair out here in 2019 when we smelled propane at the cooktop. While I don't know if they ever corrected the issue or not, Carters did! I have always been impressed with Carter's and highly recommend them if you want things done right.
