JD has been working on my HVAC system for a number of years while employed by another company…read more He has always been polite and respectful and takes the time to explain everything to you. Since going into business by himself he has continued to provide great service. Just this spring my 30+ year old heat pump and air handler bit the dust. JD came out found out what the problem was and discussed the problem and options I had to get my air back on. Weighing all my options I decided to have a new system put in. JD took his time to measure everything and find me an affordable new system that would work with my existing setup. He didn't try to up sell me anything and was open and honest about the whole process. There was a problem that arose when he started the install. He had to locate a much needed item that the manufacturer of the new unit neglected to provide. While he tracked down the part needed he kept me informed of what was going on. There were a few other problems that came up with the install but JD took his time and got everything up and running before this heat wave began. He went above and beyond what anyone else would have done to get the job done right He made sure everything was working and running properly before leaving for the day. He is just getting started out on his own but you shouldn't hesitate to give him a call if you have any heating and air problems.

I DON'T recommend these cons in any way!…read more On 4/22/24, a tech came out, did a quick service call, and $914.75 later I supposedly had freon filled up. My unit is only two years old. I was promised by the owner that the part that caused the leak was under warranty and he would take care of it quickly. I have been calling REPEATEDLY since then and have yet to get an answer. Kira, the co-owner, kept saying the same old lines. "I'll call and check and call you right back." Never did. "I'm working on it." No, she wasn't. "I'm waiting to get a claim number." Where is it? "I'm so sorry. Let me check and I'll call you back in five minutes." Still waiting. I've left message after message, text after text, and now I'm being completely ignored. Since it's a warranty part, clearly they're not interested in helping, even though they assured me they would. I left a message asking for this "supposed" claim number so I could pursue it myself. As usual, no reply. I've called the office, called the owner's cell phone and left message after message, and sent numerous texts. Everything has been ignored. Their customer service isn't just poor; it's nonexistent! After asking around and talking to a few previous customers, I see I'm not the first this has happened to. They lost a major restaurant contract due to shady business and even did it to their own church! On 8/5/24 owner Jason Johnston finally contacted me and said they were "still waiting on the part." He said it wouldn't be in until September. I asked him when was it ordered. He stammered and said, "Six weeks ago." That would have been June 24th. That's TWO MONTHS after they promised they were calling. I contacted the company directly that was supposed to be handling this warranty. The man I spoke to said they had NO open orders for Johnston Cooling & Heating and NO information on me or my air conditioning part. They never even called! These people will lie to you over and over and never do what they say they'll do. I've reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

I was so grateful to call this company and they informed me they serviced my area and once I told them about my issue they gave me a time frame of when the technician will be coming to my home to check out my heater. Jimmy came and was phenomenal! He found the problem..explained it to me and it was fixed within 15 minutes. He also informed me about the maintenance plan. The value of the service was a good price range and they informed me of the price prior to fixing the problem. Great service, great work and would highly recommend them!!

1 Star. Absolute Nightmare. Avoid Davis Heating, Cooling, Plumbing & Electric (If I could give zero…read morestars, I would). We were completely taken advantage of by our salesperson, Dakota, who aggressively upsold us on a high-end Moovair HVAC system. We trusted his recommendation, expecting a premium, reliable, energy-efficient setup. What Dakota didn't tell us is that Davis technicians don't understand the equipment. Davis has sent multiple technicians out to our house. Every single time, the techs end up standing around on support calls with Moovair because, by their own admission, no one at Davis actually understands how these newer Moovair machines work. Why is Dakota upselling customers on complex, expensive systems that his own installation and service teams have zero capability to install or maintain? It's completely unacceptable to use paying customers as guinea pigs for equipment your team isn't qualified to handle. We are stuck in a miserable loop of paying for a system we can't use, while Davis techs continue to scratch their heads while staring at the unit. If you want a company that actually stands behind what they sell, DO NOT use Davis Heating and Cooling. They are happy to take your money for a premium upsell, but are completely incapable of making it work.

While I appreciate this company for making it out to my rental in a timely manner and addressing a…read moreclogged toilet, there are just some things that don't sit right with me and I think people need to be aware of. #1- they were called for a CLOGGED TOILET. I (the landlord) was not able to be present during the repair. Instead of just addressing the issue at hand, they walked around my entire house to include the basement and pointed out to her several things. ("Water pipes needed to be completely replaced, along with all the sewer lines", etc). I've had repairs done on the sewer lines last year and had a clean out installed by another company. This is totally noticeable because it looks brand new. The sewer line is fine. #2- i believe this was a fear-mongering tactic used to try to get more work and money out of her. Taking advantage of her not understanding these things. Again, they were called for a clogged toilet. Not a "broken water line", not a "backed up sewer", none of that. #3- the fill valve in the toilet needs to be "repaired". They quoted me $400 to repair a fill valve, flapper and supply line. This is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! A total rebuild kit costs $30 at Lowe's. They told her that she would need to replace the entire water tank as well. *** Can I just mention that a brand new toilet costs $100 at Lowe's??*** This is really sad and honestly criminal. I hope to god that you don't try this on anyone who doesn't know any better. I've been around this type of work my entire life and never have I EVER seen this kind of pricing. Absolutely not happening. Reevaluate your prices and be honest about what you're doing. Thanks for responding and unclogging the toilet quick, though. I do appreciate that.
