A fella came out and looked at the situation. Inside speakers and outside speakers to connect to the record player. When we got a day set on, a guy came out. Really nice guy who knew his stuff, but didn't know this system. It was literally his first time looking at it. He went at it with confidence and got the speakers set, despite the speaker stands missing. When it got time to program it to use he had to just work his way through it. It took more time to get the speakers to turn on right that the installation. They are top of the line speakers, and a great central system. But with the speaker stand situation and feeling hung out to dry on service, it hurt a little.

I put it off for months, but when I finally started researching replacement options, Alarm Grid's videos and information were everywhere--YouTube, forums, and Google searches. After learning that my old panel was discontinued, Alarm Grid's resources clearly explained how to upgrade to the Honeywell/Resideo PROA7PLUS ProSeries 7-inch touchscreen panel, along with adding the PROTAKEOVER module to maintain compatibility with my existing Honeywell 5800 Series wireless sensors. I ordered both the panel and module and received them in just five days with free shipping. Installation was straightforward thanks to Alarm Grid's step-by-step YouTube videos. I did initially have trouble configuring my window and door sensors, but after realizing they needed to be set to "Service 2" in the programming, all my 5816 sensors worked perfectly. I also decided to add monitoring with app-based arm/disarm for just $10 per month. Nicholas Fuller activated my system remotely and made the entire process seamless. Huge thanks to Alarm Grid and the entire team for their expertise, professionalism, and top-notch customer service. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience!

You order the system pre-programmed, and it's pretty simple to install. The sensors are battery operated, so you just screw them to the walls, or use double-stick tape. The main panel does need wall power. The connection to the monitoring site is via cell phone, so no wire required. I've had three alarms in the past year. The first was triggered from my father, who forgot I had an alarm. That revealed that the company had written my street address down wrong, so the police refused to send a unit. Luckily that ended well, but it shows that you must double check such things after installation. The other two were actual break-ins. In each case, the alarm activated, and the burglars left without taking anything, and I only had to pay to replace some glass. I will say that the police response was too slow to catch anybody. All in all, the system works, and at the price is a bargain. I used ADT for my business, and now I regret it. Their system is no better, more than twice the cost per month, and cost $1000 to install. When the contract expires, I will switch to this service. I am also planning to install this system in another house.
