This company is staffed with careless individuals that after failing to get an appointment…read morescheduled, just showed up one day. I allowed these pop-ins to inspect my attic for a duct replacement estimate and while up there I watched as one intentionally pressed down on the aluminum duct, flattening the top. They didn't speak English to each other in front of me, so I had to ask what was going on and I was just told "it's ok." I previously had another one of their staff appointed to inspect my attic, but he was literally unfit for the job and had to send out someone more able-bodied. Kind of funny, but also a waste of both of our time. One of the guys that answered the phone to take my original appointment had to yell "I CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING" to his co-workers that were carelessly chatting loudly while we were on the phone. I get the impression that they do that often and/or he's just not a great communicator. No proper introduction, no etiquette, no appointment pop-in, and ultimately no estimate either... but to add insult to injury, they squished my aluminum duct, potentially worsening my problem. I'm sure that if you're the kind of person that just lets service people come and do whatever they want without asking anything that you could end up getting somewhat decent work, but I'd suggest you find another company that has at least some common curtesy. I was a potential customer that they failed to get because of basic principles that seem to be lost on these individuals... You are expected at a minimum to: Speak English, greet customer, exchange names, explain what you're going to do, give estimate, thank customer.

I called East Coast Services on a Saturday because my AC line was clogged and I wanted it cleaned…read morethat same day. Good news - they were available same day. Bad news - they blew the AC drain line pipe, which we discovered next morning; by that time water was dripping from the selling in the downstairs room. I called the company again and left voicemail. It's been a week, I still haven't heard back. A different company thankfully was able to come and fix the drain pipe. Now I need to replace half the selling in that room, repaint and replace a side table and a speaker that were ruined by the water damage. Needless to say, I do not recommend this company to anyone.

Joe & Joe A/C is absolutely THE BEST and MOST HONEST company with whom we have ever done business…read more I found them by accident when one of our residents was getting the run-around by their A/C company, telling them they needed to change their unit. I contacted this family run company and, low and behold, Joe, the owner, showed up. In 15 minutes he not only had her air conditioning unit working, he clearly told her she did NOT need a new unit. We have 4 high-rise buildings and after that experience, we hired Joe & Joe as our service company. Our residents crossed paths with their technicians and to date, they must have installed 50 A/C systems for our residents, and not one of them is unhappy. Marc L. Boca Raton, FL

Joe & Joe's salesman arrived down the road and as soon as he saw the maintenance van, he ran away. We waited all day for Joe & Joe to arrive and had zero communication from their company until a few days later when a text asked me to rate their visit! I understand this is a small company and we wanted to give them the chance of the business and also for our other units, as they become older. I strongly do not recommend this company that seems to not care about potential customers. We have since purchased a new unit from another company.

We do NOT recommend Greentree AC for any duct work install/repair based on our experience…read more (Maintenance cleaning and new AC install is fine.) We approached Greentree AC several years ago and asked if they could help us with a problem. There was a severe imbalance in the AC with the primary bedroom and the bath and the office (too hot). They said we needed new duct work (in a specific area) to fix it. We asked many times if they were experts in duct work and would they be able to fix. We asked if they would be relying on a duct work engineer before doing. We were assured that they would fix it. They did not. Right now the AC is set on 73 and the entrance to the primary and the bath read 80 degrees. We called back several times and different people came out including the owner and his son but nothing was fixed. One repair person turned a return into a supply vent such that two supply vents feed the office. Their employee did not initially tell us what he was doing. The office is now freezing but the primary entrance and bath are a sauna and most of the time reads 5-6 degrees hotter than the bedroom. Speaking to the owner, he wished us well but said "We did what we could." Well, it did not work at all.

What happened to this once great company?…read more When I first moved down to Florida, I used Island Air for all of my AC needs. I replaced a system and had quite a few service calls at all the homes I resided in. Always a great experience. The techs were professional and knowledgeable and the office staff was always quick about scheduling. Now? They're never available. I wanted to sign up for an annual maintenance plan and they told me they're booking out to November. It's August. Service calls? Techs are never available in a reasonable time frame and their advertised 24/7 on call service doesn't actually exist. My AC was out on a Friday not too long ago and I was told I couldn't get service until the following Monday. 2.5 days in a sauna, yeah OK boys, I think I'll pass! Anyway, as they literally are unable to provide me with any of the services I've recently needed, I have to update my review and move forward with some other great companies I've found. Good luck if you use them.
