Dr. Johnson takes the time to create a game plan and always asks how things are feeling before an adjustment. Before each adjustment he checks your vertebrae and joints to see where you will need the adjustments. This is contrary to other experiences I've had where it's the same exact routine. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Johnson. I am a massage therapist, have been for 22 years. When I first started doing massage, I referred some of my clients to a chiropractor I knew, only to have it come back and bite me in the butt so to speak. He over charged them and tried to sell them unnecessary products. I stopped referring chiropractors all together. Well that changed about 2 years ago. My lower back went out and like you, I scanned Yelp trying to find someone good. I came across Dr Johnsons site. I was hesitant to call at first because I didn't want to deal with the upsell I dealt with in the past. Carrying a massage table up stairs causes by back to sometimes be strained. Especially now that I turned 50. The body just is not what it used to be. Best call I ever made! He was very courteous, professional and his office was clean. I watched him wipe down the table after his last client. He did not try to coax me into coming 3x a week (as others had). I went to tip him as I thought it was customary. He wouldnt except it. Plus his rate was much lower than any chiro I had ever been to. The real test, I referred one of my clients to him and waited for the review from him. I wondered if I was getting special treatment because I am a CMT. They loved him. I started referring all my clients to him. Great reviews all around! I've read a couple of reviews on here about masks. If u are still worried about Covid, wear a mask yourself. I feel bad for those that walked away because they missed out on a Dr that actually cares about your health. You are not treated like a number. He doesn't rush you out. He listens and even shows you exercises to rid yourself of the problem... oh and occasionally if you are lucky, you might just get a hug. read more

CAUTION: NO MASKS, NO SAFETY PROTOCOLS. This guy is in violation of public health mandates - and he's supposed to be a doctor? I walked in and he greeted me without a mask on. He then reached out his hand to shake mine - like, WTH? He had his kid there who listened to and watched everything that happened, which is super unprofessional. He asked me to fill out paperwork but my gut was telling me something was up. So, before I filled out the papers, I asked him if I could ask him a question. He said yes. I asked, "Have you been vaccinated?" He paused and replied, "That private information is between me and my medical doctor." (!!!) So, I replied, "Well I know what the answer to my question is then." And then I walked out. I've been seeing chiropractors for my entire life. This guy is a danger to public health. I am reporting him to OC public health for non-compliance of mask mandates. I'm also filing a complaint with the California State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Stay away - there are plenty of other chiropractors who value patients health and public safety. read more
