I've had neck and upper back pain for over 10 years after a serious pedestrian-to-vehicle accident. I had disc issues, wore a neck collar for months, and basically lived with pain for years. I came to Lee Chiropractic for a pinched nerve in my neck. Everybody was very nice but during my second visit (the first visit was to take the XRays only) the chiropractor pushed down on my head to show me that my pain meant I have a disk hernia. I was asked to pay a deposit of $400 and commit to a $4000 spinal care plan including 24 adjustment sessions, 3 times a week, spinal decompression and shockwave, otherwise I would not receive any treatment during that visit. And they don't take insurance. I felt trapped! Update: after my visit to Lee Chiropractic, I saw an Orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion. Usually they need an MRI for a diagnostic but this one was ok to look at my X Rays first. The doctor said my disks were normal for my age. He just recommended some physical therapy sessions. Started seeing this chiropractor in hopes of relieving sciatica and radiating nerve pain into my hands due to herniated discs in my lumbar and cervical spine. After my initial evaluation, I was told that they were very optimistic in their ability to treat my symptoms. I was treated consistently for 3 months with very little to no relief after spending $4000 out of pocket. The care and attention I received was line with what was promised to me, however any relief or improvement of symptoms fell far short of what was discussed during my initial consultation. I spoke with Dr. Lee over the phone without him evaluating me prior to a decompression treatment on my lumbar spine and I was told that the force at which I was being pulled at was too low to alleviate disc compression. In turn, during my next visit, without him seeing me in person, the decompression force was increased. This resulted in days long pain which prevented me from sleeping. read more

In July of 2025 I developed a pinched nerve in my cervical area. What originally started out as tingling in my left hand quickly morphed into radiating and excruciating pain that was traveling down all of my left arm. This pain went on for close to 3 months! Pain so bad I literally could not sleep! I was forced to take pain meds for the first time in my life. I tried massages, going to 2 different medical doctors (i.e. orthopedic surgeons), physical therapy, and acupuncture. None of these helped me get better. Not until I found Lee Chiropractic. As someone who never visited a Chiropractor, I relied on my girlfriends's positive experience with Chiropractic therapy as a means to heal me. My initial consultation was with Dr. Lee was very positive. He took his time in explaining to me what kind of program I would need to be involved in. He answered all of my questions. I enrolled in Dr. Lee's 3 month program, which included not just chiropractic adjustments, but other healing methods which includes shock therapy, laser therapy, and spinal decompression. With about a month left in my program, I am happy to report that I've made substantial progress in healing my pain. While not quite 100%, I'm getting very close to it! I was apprehensive to see a chiropractor as I had tried everything, shots, pills, creams, equipment promising relief, physical therapy, Acupunture, excersise, massage you name it I have tried it. I do not like being manlipulated by crunching so tried the flat bed machine along with decompression and laser for my lower back and hip pain which I have had for at least 5 years. Dr Melad was able after only two sessions to relieve my hip pain a miracle! I still have some siatica on one side but nowhere as painful. I highly recommend this practice for more relief than I have ever had and am continuing my treatment as recommended every two weeks. I suffer from a bone spur on the back of my heel. I went to a podiatrist who told me that my only option was to undergo surgery that would require them to cut my tendon and shave the bone off and then reattach the tendon. The recovery time would be at least 6 months in addition a a very painful surgery. I found out about Lee Chiropractic and the shockwave treatment they provide. I decided to try it to see if it would help. I am very happy to say that it worked very well. For anyone else that might be experiencing pain from a bone spur the shockwave treatment was the best thing I could have done. I came to Lee Chiropractic hopeful to heal my lower back/pinched nerve--but walked away with more pain and a mini medical horror story. First, Miss Alyssa strapped me onto the decompression machine extremely tightly, dismissing my complaint of straps being way too tight and she added a weight nearly DOUBLE my body weight UNSUPERVISED! Some time after the machine started, I couldn't breathe nor feel my upper body at all, trembling for at least 5 minutes. Later, Miss Sandy decided to dial the shockwave therapy setting to a dangerously high "mystery-mode" WITHOUT MY CONSENT. The pain and inflammation spiked tremendously, and a few days later, I was rushed to the ER: unable to stand or walk, couldn't feel my right arm, dizziness, slurred speech, shaking and much more. On top of the physical harm, the unprofessionalism in the front office was the cherry on top: * Miss Anne seemed more concerned about how much %age the office would get from my accident case which again tells me their focus was more on MONEY, which should be none of her business. * Miss Sandy and Alyssa making their own clinical decisions as technicians without doctor or patient consent. * Miss Sandy repeatedly pushed me to switch chiropractors--even after I respectfully declined multiple times due to each chiro having their own technique/method--ironically, right before she harmed me. * Miss Sandy asked why there were "too many" follow-up exams (due to her and Dr. Samuelson's own lack of communication) even though that's something he approved, it felt inappropriate asking a patient who had no awareness or any decision making influence in it. Where is the accountability and emotional maturity required from the owner, Dr. Lee and senior chiro Dr. Melad? My chiro, Dr. Samuelson was already on vacation, Dr. Lee left for vacation right away, and Dr. Melad left for a baseball game while I was suffering in the ER. In a situation this serious, I expected a direct apology and explanation particularly from the owner, Dr. Lee. The staff here is a direct reflection of the senior leadership. Financial gain is highly prioritized over thoughtful, patient-centered healing. Very sad and dangerous. Patients want to desperately heal in a safe, supervised environment with trusted professionals, not to become more weaker, develop PTSD and worse symptoms months later especially at such a young age. Please learn to take responsibility for your dangerous actions at the right time instead of covering it up and before another patient actually ends up paralyzed or dead. TO FUTURE PATIENTS: please be aware of the bias between the choice of chiropractors at this office and ask why specific treatments and adjustments are being recommended. Oh wow, i ended up here due to previous multiple injuries (a few car accidents over the years, two serious and one semi serious), previous twisted ankles etc., just everything that affects you for years down the road (39 years old), desk job, a very expensive mattress that has been sinking prematurely (note: a sinking mattress can mess up your back pretty bad I didn't know your whole body is supposed to be in a straight line on the bed), I think in junior high they said I have scoliosis etc., inability to exercise due to serious foot/lower leg injury a year and a half ago which obviously affects everything, your back etc., and the final cherry on top which was an acupuncturist that didn't know what she was doing who as soon as I left her office I couldn't bend at all so my low back pain went from bad to oh my gosh i can't even function barely in life, working during the work day was extremely painful I was lying on the ground at work for little breaks because sitting hurt so bad, but I almost couldn't work -driving hurt due to sitting, I never thought it would be possible for that severity of pain to go away, I was crying and thought it was permanent, but after treatment from dr. Melad and the team, it went away completely, I can bend jump twist, and I completely have my life back. Additionally they give you many tools to keep your new and improved back functioning! I find dr melad extremely great attitude, extremely efficient, answers all your questions, doesn't say you need anything you truly don't need, literally the treatment I got was exactly what I needed and when I can afford more, I'll go back for more treatment and maintenance , they check in regularly with X-rays etc to see your progress so you know it's real healing you're doing. I'm going back for more shockwave therapy on my shoulder and leg/foot for scar tissue shortly in the future I have that creates lots of pain (doesn't have to do with my back but i saw the success in them using it on my back and then you can use it on different parts of body for scar tissue), ... I have recommended them to everyone in my life that has back pain and/or scar tissue that they can treat with shockwave. They were recommended to me by a friend and she was so Right !
