The restaurant itself is okay.. not great just mediocre. If you are looking to get a bite to eat after a long day of work or have some time to waste for lunch this is the perfect place for you. This is not a place i would bring my girlfriend for our anniversary or even my mother on mothers day. Make sure you plan ahead and order your food in advance before you're hungry, you will be waiting about 30 minutes. The majority of the food i have ordered at this restaurant has left me very unsatisfied. The meal just would not justify my refined taste. I once ordered a pizza and it was so horribly undercooked the toppings and cheese slid right off the limp crust. When you go to the counter to receive your pizza order (thats right there is no service) make sure a fork is included. Definitely not worth the $15.00. The problem is they cook with substantial amounts of ingredients (its no question to me why the food is so expensive) not allowing ample time for the food to properly cook. I once ate a meat lovers pizza there, i was sick all day and later vomited. Even when i order a B.L.T the half lb of bacon it comes with is 40% fat and undercooked, i always ask them to cook it extra crispy. The restaurant is a slightly busy place with limited cooking space, so they are usually rushing. The owner John, he is Greek and has very hairy arms and i am always nervous when i watch him prepare my food. When entering the parking lot of this business you are greeted by a large, VERY pungent eye-sore that is nauseating and offensive to most senses, yes thats correct the dumpster the restaurant keeps all of its trash. Located right in front of the parking lot entrance. They have it right next to the Main st sidewalk and makes the town look very dirty. Its bad enough we are forced to tolerate this while trying to relax and eat but when traveling on the busiest St in town it is hard to ignore. All in all the restaurant building itself is in a good location and the people there are nice and friendly, its not the best food and its not the worst.
I just want to update this. I recently ate a B.L.T at Johns Pizza on Thursday 3/25/10. Later in the night i came down with a severe case of food poisoning, i vomited substantially, heavy diarrhea, cramps and sweating. I am still sore 3 days later from the strain my body underwent from vomiting all night. read more
