The owner Adel is a friendly outgoing guy that makes some really great food. Recently they have been serving fish dishes. Best tasting fish around. You can even get it baked if you choose. Comes with a salad rice and a garlic bread roll.The entire staff is friendly and outgoing. Service is excellent prices are fair and you cant beat the quality of the food. Always have a delicious option to choose from and I am grateful that they're not a pizza place that has become less authentic and only serve limited items with over the top prices. At John's the menu is always limitless for me I don't eat large portions either so whenever I order a dinner entree it's a sure thing I'll be having left overs the next day for lunch! Perfect for me and my husband. The only negatives are no delivery services and when I asked for extra cheese and light sauce on a meatball grinder it was ignored and unfortunately I wasn't capable of going back to have it fixed or anything but one mistake after plenty times ordering is okay with a former GM of a similarly run restaurant. read more

While the food tastes ok and the person behind the counter was nice, the cleanliness and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Tables were filthy, and very wobbly. There were dead dried flies stuck to the light above the table, just waiting to fall in my food. The bathroom sink did not work well and was leaking all over the floor. The food is delicious! The french fries are very tasteful. The broccoli alfredo is flavorful and is a good serving size for a good price. The garlic bread is nice and warm with a good amount of seasoning. We had a big family and they still kept up with everything. The service is fast and the workers check up on you to make sure you are satisfied. They have a variety of drinks and food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I happen to be driving by on the way to a venue it was 10:45 in the evening and I really needed to fuel up before I had a few drinks. I was lucky enough to find John's which was lit up with an open sign and had a private parking lot. I went inside it was reminiscent of a 1950s diner but it was a pizza and sub location. I asked if they had slices but they only serve told Peters I opted for the chicken Parm submarine sandwich. Very pleasantly surprised when you came to the counter it was toasted in the pizza Robin had plenty of cheese and large amounts of chicken. Read was country but yet soft the chicken all white meat white wheat bread it was small amount of sauce and plenty of cheese that was browned on the top. Kudos to whom I assume was John behind the counter for such a great sandwich. If I'm ever in town again I will definitely stop in for another. The entire restaurant was clean including the restrooms. We have enjoyed Johns pizza for the past year and have had no complaints, until Tuesday night 2/11 and my daughter pulled out a long hair that was inside the melted cheese (not on top). I suggest that people with long hair that prepare food should wear hairnets or have it pulled back into a ponytail. It caused my daughter not want to finish eating it. read more

Me likey. I have not had their pizza yet, so don't hold me to this. But, I have had their dinners. I like the quality and the portions for the price. It is not the 'best of' this, that, or whatever you order. But the food is fresh made, and it has been consistent. My boyfriend and I have been there occasionally over the past 3 years. Which means, we are there about three times a year. That's how often we are in that part of town. We like their meatballs, spaghetti, Italian sausage, kabobs, sandwiches, Syrian bread, garlic bread, and I love their salads. Stopped in for our Friday night out. Ordered a garden salad and wife had an antipasto salad. Both were fresh and hugh. One was enough to feed two. Also ordered a ham and cheese calzone which was full of meat and cheese and tasted great and crust was wicked good. They serve the crispy coated french frys which son loved. Only negative is they they really need to do a good cleaning. The dishes and tables and salt&pepper shakers all covered in think layer of grease which was bit of turn off. read more

This is my hometown pizza place. To me, there's nothing like East Coast pizza and when i'm back in town John's is a must visit spot for our family. The crust is always cooked without being too hard or too soft and they put the right proportion of cheese, sauce, and veggies. Since I've moved I think they changed owners or something (I could be totally wrong here) but the service just isn't the same as it used to be. We ordered there last week - one large pizza and a calzone. I should have known better. The food was super-greasy and gave me indigestion for 24 hours after. Even looking at the pizza when you open the box (I should have taken a pic) indicates the lack of care and quality of ingredients. Sorry, but this consumer expects much better. I have been going to Johns for years and I feel they lost a lot of business since the owner change mainly due to price increases and the cheapening of some products...such as the roast beef which I use to love but won't get anymore...while I would agree that they are definitely more expensive than almost any other Pizza place in the area...you also get what you pay for...the pizzas and grinders come loaded...people pay for skimpy ass grinders at subway and don't think anything of it...it's somewhat relative...id say try it for yourself...i will continue to do business at johns. I've been going to John's since I was about 6 or 7 - I'm 35 now. I used to live in Spencer, I now live on the farther side of Worcester and still make the special trips just for their pizza, sometimes their grinders, or both. I love their pizza, and their is something about their sauce that is very unique, more sweet than others. They have more cheese and sauce than other pizzas, great crust. It's so roomy and clean. The service is good and they are friendly, though I do very much miss Simon and his wife since they sold it. I will always be a customer and highly recommend it! read more

Not at all as good as it used to be! When the previous owner Simon owned it, he took pride in the portions and quality! Since the new owners, although very nice people, the portions are much smaller and prices have increased! Add bacon before get a HUGE add on! Now 3 pieces!
