My granddaughter & I stopped in for lunch. She was so excited to sit in a "PIZZA SHOP GRANNY"! Our pizza was ready lickitity quick. Hot & smelling yummy! I hadn't been into town in years and it's just as great as it was years ago. My granddaughter even ate the crust!! She neverrrrrr does that as a devoted 4 yo does. I wish the tables were better cleaned as well as the trash doors. Staff was wicked friendly and attentive. Plenty of parking as well right on Main St read more

Excellent salads, subs, seafood!! The pizza is great! Owner is top notch! Highly recommend

The owner Adel is a friendly outgoing guy that makes some really great food. Recently they have been serving fish dishes. Best tasting fish around. You can even get it baked if you choose. Comes with a salad rice and a garlic bread roll. The entire staff is friendly and outgoing. Service is excellent prices are fair and you cant beat the quality of the food. My wife and I have been coming since Adels oldest son was born the food only gets better with time. Coming on about 15 years. I suggest you try them out. Paul & Deb read more

I order food there all the time. I love the Pizza , wings and Salads with that little side of bread.

I've been going to John's pizza for over 10 years now. I moved out of state and still stop by whenever I'm in town. The Buffalo chicken calzón is the best calzone I've ever had in my life. It's crunchy, mouth watering, and super delicious! Not to mention that the owner (Adel) and the staff are wonderful people. I highly highly recommend this pizza joint read more

John's Pizza - Buffalo chicken calzón - Pizza Near Me - Spencer, Massachusetts

Not sure but this place was my favorite. Did get bought over cuz things have changed. Just orderes steak and cheese with extra cheese because the last time it didn't have a lot of cheese. Get home and barely has cheese So annoying, you pay for this . read more

Always have a delicious option to choose from and I am grateful that they're not a pizza place that has become less authentic and only serve limited items with over the top prices. At John's the menu is always limitless for me I don't eat large portions either so whenever I order a dinner entree it's a sure thing I'll be having left overs the next day for lunch! Perfect for me and my husband. The only negatives are no delivery services and when I asked for extra cheese and light sauce on a meatball grinder it was ignored and unfortunately I wasn't capable of going back to have it fixed or anything but one mistake after plenty times ordering is okay with a former GM of a similarly run restaurant. read more

While the food tastes ok and the person behind the counter was nice, the cleanliness and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. Tables were filthy, and very wobbly. There were dead dried flies stuck to the light above the table, just waiting to fall in my food. The bathroom sink did not work well and was leaking all over the floor. I won't be coming back. read more

John's Pizza is a Great family owned & family friendly environment. They offer a nice & clean environment, that's open & welcoming; while providing you w/ great food, along w/ friendly& personable Management & staff. It's also extremely comforting, as a lifetime local, to know that the owners of John's Pizza are not only genuinely GREAT people, but ALSO actually give back to the community as well! (Which sadly cannot always be said nowadays for many businesses, but John's is 1,000% an exception to that!) read more

I've had food from here about 6 times since my boyfriend moved to Spencer a few months ago, and it's been great every single time. The prices are great, the portions are huge and the employees are always super nice. read more

Hands down the best pizza in town. Friendly, capable staff. Good food. Fair prices. Only slightly more expensive than the place down the road & with much better quality. read more

The food is delicious! The french fries are very tasteful. The broccoli alfredo is flavorful and is a good serving size for a good price. The garlic bread is nice and warm with a good amount of seasoning. We had a big family and they still kept up with everything. The service is fast and the workers check up on you to make sure you are satisfied. They have a variety of drinks and food. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I happen to be driving by on the way to a venue it was 10:45 in the evening and I really needed to fuel up before I had a few drinks. I was lucky enough to find John's which was lit up with an open sign and had a private parking lot. I went inside it was reminiscent of a 1950s diner but it was a pizza and sub location. I asked if they had slices but they only serve told Peters I opted for the chicken Parm submarine sandwich. Very pleasantly surprised when you came to the counter it was toasted in the pizza Robin had plenty of cheese and large amounts of chicken. Read was country but yet soft the chicken all white meat white wheat bread it was small amount of sauce and plenty of cheese that was browned on the top. Kudos to whom I assume was John behind the counter for such a great sandwich. If I'm ever in town again I will definitely stop in for another. The entire restaurant was clean including the restrooms. A pleasant surprise and a small rural town. read more

We have enjoyed Johns pizza for the past year and have had no complaints, until Tuesday night 2/11 and my daughter pulled out a long hair that was inside the melted cheese (not on top). I suggest that people with long hair that prepare food should wear hairnets or have it pulled back into a ponytail. It caused my daughter not want to finish eating it. read more

Me likey. I have not had their pizza yet, so don't hold me to this. But, I have had their dinners. I like the quality and the portions for the price. It is not the 'best of' this, that, or whatever you order. But the food is fresh made, and it has been consistent. My boyfriend and I have been there occasionally over the past 3 years. Which means, we are there about three times a year. That's how often we are in that part of town. We like their meatballs, spaghetti, Italian sausage, kabobs, sandwiches, Syrian bread, garlic bread, and I love their salads. Just consistently decent food, and the owners are always nice to us when we are there. And it's clean. So, there. read more

Stopped in for our Friday night out. Ordered a garden salad and wife had an antipasto salad. Both were fresh and hugh. One was enough to feed two. Also ordered a ham and cheese calzone which was full of meat and cheese and tasted great and crust was wicked good. They serve the crispy coated french frys which son loved. Only negative is they they really need to do a good cleaning. The dishes and tables and salt&pepper shakers all covered in think layer of grease which was bit of turn off. read more

Be careful when eating here. The employees do not wash their hands. This is the most important thing when handling food!

Love John's. Everything is so good and this includes the pasta. The only thing I havent tried yet is the fish and chips. But that is definitely next. read more

This place never disappoints. The food is ALWAYS consistent, the quality is so much better than most 'pizza places'. Nice people, fair pricing. It's all good!! read more

As pizza joints go, John's Pizza is a step above ordinary. Now owned by a caring Egyptian couple, nothing has changed from Simon's Greek ownership except the owner no longer berates employees in front of customers. ;) Try the "House Special" pizza, or grilled chicken salad. Feeds a family of 8! read more

Very greasy, will not order again. Too bad, because the crust looked thick and it seemed good otherwise.

Family has been going here for years. Pizza is always amazing and cooked to perfection. The staff are always polite and attentive. My wive's favorite is the anipasto salad. Always fresh ingredients. Their pizza is the best in the area. Their French fries are great too. read more

Tried it out last night and it was really nothing to be excited about. Got a cheese and house special pizza. The cheese was alight; crust on both pizzas were dry and flavorless. The house special was pretty gross; the hamburg on the pizza tasted like mush and overall not all that appetizing. read more

Everything my girlfriend and I have ordered here has been fantastic. Salads are big and delicious, bread for grinders is really fresh, and they have the best pizza I've ever had. We'll go here any chance we get, wish more places were like this one read more

This is my hometown pizza place. To me, there's nothing like East Coast pizza and when i'm back in town John's is a must visit spot for our family. The crust is always cooked without being too hard or too soft and they put the right proportion of cheese, sauce, and veggies. Since I've moved I think they changed owners or something (I could be totally wrong here) but the service just isn't the same as it used to be. But the pizza is still good which I guess is what matters most. read more

We ordered there last week - one large pizza and a calzone. I should have known better. The food was super-greasy and gave me indigestion for 24 hours after. Even looking at the pizza when you open the box (I should have taken a pic) indicates the lack of care and quality of ingredients. Sorry, but this consumer expects much better. Can we get good pizza in Spencer please? Someone? read more

Honest staff, great food and overall pleasant experience. Try the buffalo chicken tenders, they are like home made version. The pizzas come in a great variety as well. read more

I have been going to Johns for years and I feel they lost a lot of business since the owner change mainly due to price increases and the cheapening of some products...such as the roast beef which I use to love but won't get anymore...while I would agree that they are definitely more expensive than almost any other Pizza place in the area...you also get what you pay for...the pizzas and grinders come loaded...people pay for skimpy ass grinders at subway and don't think anything of it...it's somewhat relative...id say try it for yourself...i will continue to do business at johns. The owner is polite and always says hello when I come in. read more

Excellent food and reasonable prices with plenty of parking

Food was really good, but pretty pricey for fish and chips..won't do that again.

This place has decent pizza and subs. The inside seems to be a little outdated. But somewhat clean. The pizza is a bit different from other places. I don't know if the sauce is canned. But we like to try everything once. read more

Horrible! Forget about phone convo. Girl on phone is moron. Had gloves on but still handled money then made food without changing them.

I visited this place and I would recommend u stay away from this place. Pizza no!! Grinders no!! It's worth going to McDonald's u would get a better service and food... yuk.. read more

I've been going to John's since I was about 6 or 7 - I'm 35 now. I used to live in Spencer, I now live on the farther side of Worcester and still make the special trips just for their pizza, sometimes their grinders, or both. I love their pizza, and their is something about their sauce that is very unique, more sweet than others. They have more cheese and sauce than other pizzas, great crust. It's so roomy and clean. The service is good and they are friendly, though I do very much miss Simon and his wife since they sold it. I will always be a customer and highly recommend it! read more

My family and I love John's. The prices are reasonable and the food is great! There is plenty of seating and parking.

Best pizza We've ever had. Subs are good too. Fish n chips are our kids favorite. Wish they would make their own baklava- as good as the food is, why buy frozen dessert? Employees are always great as well. Love this place read more

Hadn't been in a while since previous owners left and I'm sorry I tried the food again the steal sandwiches were the best around now they are just awful and me and my wife loved their meat lovers this last time it was so different and so much smaller than back in the day....we need simon and Marie back blah.... read more

Not at all as good as it used to be! When the previous owner Simon owned it, he took pride in the portions and quality! Since the new owners, although very nice people, the portions are much smaller and prices have increased! Add bacon before get a HUGE add on! Now 3 pieces! Sandwiches were 3 times the size they are now! They Were the best now just another pizza place but more expensive! read more
