From the moment you walk up, there's this unmistakable energy: the smell alone stops you in your tracks. It's rich, layered, and honestly a little dangerous if you show up hungry (which you absolutely should). Every dish feels intentional--nothing thrown together, nothing phoned in. You can tell whoever's behind the menu actually cares about food, not just serving it. The flavors? Bold without being overwhelming. Comforting but still exciting. It's that rare balance where every bite hits, whether it's something indulgent and messy or surprisingly refined for something coming out of a truck window. And the portions don't play games--you're leaving full and already thinking about what you're ordering next time. What really sets South 9 apart, though, is how it punches way above its weight class. This isn't "great for a food truck." This is great, period. The kind of food you'd expect to sit down for, linger over, and happily pay restaurant prices for. Honestly, South 9 deserves walls, a front door, and a line out the door. Until that happens, it might just be the best-kept secret on wheels--but not for long. Also, huge shout out for throwing in the extra sauces and tenders! As someone who rarely leaves reviews, this one is necessary and can't wait to see where this place goes.

I got the wings bone in with sweet chili and garlic buffalo. Really nice cook on the wings, but the garlic buffalo is way more garlic than one would presume so I just took them home and put more buffalo on them and that balanced them out really well. They have really good ranch. They also serve blue cheese. They do celery and carrots. I also got my husband some to go wings that they serve by the half pound when they're boneless and so he got a pound and a half and so every half pound you get a sauce option so he got three different sauces and he got the garlic buffalo also another one I can't think of right now and then he got this balsamic fig! It was the most interesting experience I've probably ever had on a piece of chicken was very, very good. There's street parking I don't think they have a parking lot but it's a small space. Honestly they probably do a lot of carry out just because I'm presuming only about 15 to 20 people could actually sit in the restaurant, but the quality of the chicken was really really high it wasn't that busy so the service was good That's it.

The brisket was my absolute favorite--so tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. When we arrived, the place was full, which honestly had me betting big that the food would live up to the hype--and it absolutely did. Even the other customers were friendly, and the staff was just as welcoming. My fiancé and I shared the two-meat platter, and thank goodness we did--it was more than enough food. We were stuffed and still had leftovers (which I'm very much looking forward to eating again). If we ever pass through this way again, I'll definitely be making him stop here. Ribs very beefy and excellent. Mac and cheese needed stronger multi cheese blend, maybe a few toasted breadcrumbs on top ? Cucumber salad needed a pinch of sugar to sweeten up the vinegar . Corn bread ok , needs more flavor with real corn mixed in, lose the paper wrappers and bake in pans directly ... or change to a biscuit with honey butter . The owner was working the line first visit and things moving. Second visit : same points mentioned above, but this time smaller quantity of brisket and drier? The ribs smaller and drier ? 2 different food prep guys this time and noticed difference from visit day before? I did try one smoked wing this visit and wing wax excellent smoke tender wing. I think k things improved since the Worcester location closed? It still can be excellent food one time and an average or worse the next visit... inconsistent When the Brisket is on ... it is great stuff When it is off... dry underwhelming... They should make a brisket or burnt end hash as option ... Redbones bbq in Boston used to do a brisket hash that was excellent and unique .

We drive by their plaza all the time & never knew they were there. They have a bunch of sauces but were offering: - 401 (buffalo base sauce mild in nature & savory, it's a little twist on their buffalo mild) - 716 Mulberry (buffalo base sauce its a medium spice, it's a little twist on their buffalo medium) - Loganberry BBQ (it's a berry BBQ sauce with a blend of raspberry & blackberry infused into BBQ sauce) Hubby ordered the 716 Mulberry, I ordered the Loganberry BBQ. When you close your eyes & dream of the perfect buffalo sauce for wings, this is it. We also very much enjoyed the Loganberry BBQ with the char on the wings, not too sweet & a nice bit of heat. We were in the mood for a little something else so we ordered a small cheese pizza. YUM! We got to chat with one of the owners for a while & she couldn't have been nicer. She made us try the PJ's Crystal Beach Original Loganberry drink they have at the soda station. Not my cup of tea but hubby liked it (especially if you added a spritz of vodka!). We will be back for the Beef of Weck. And we will forgive them for being Buffalo Bills fans! NOM NOM NOM #YUM

For the competition, they were offering three of their signature sauces I went with the 716 Mulberry. Their menu describes it as a "Buffalo Base Sauce. It's a little twist on our buffalo medium". The wings came out hot and were so crispy. No breading, just a crisp wing with the perfect amount of sauce. The spice was medium in my estimation BUT I know a lot of people will find them a bit on the hot side. The base was definitely buffalo as advertised with added spices that really switched up in a nice way. They were on the salty side, but not in a bad way. I very much enjoyed their take on a traditional buffalo sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. We went on a Sunday during football season so they had four screens playing the days games. Most people seem to be coming in for takeout which makes sense but they were plenty of tables for beauty said that if you plan to eat at the restaurant. They had both fountain and cooler, soft drinks and a beer selection on tap. They offer counter service and our cashier was very friendly and answered all my questions about the menu choices. They do charge about $17 for 10 wings which I find a bit on the pricey side however they are a good quality so if you're gonna splurge, you won't be disappointed in the wing
