Owner was super friendly and we opted for a special that was offered: 1 topping lg pizza, 12 wings, large fries $29.99. The hamburger pizza was hot and crispy (lives up to the hype) with just enough topping. Wing ding chicken wings were meaty and cooked to perfection. Fries, hot & crispy. Excellent across the board. I went on YELP and saw they had all great reviews, so I decided to try it out. I ordered a large half cheese and half hamburger pizza, and a large fry. I went in to pick up the pizza and was greeted by a lovely gentleman who is the owner. We started chatting and I learned that he has had this business for 17 years and his entire family helps out. His wife was so lovely and friendly as well. The pizza was awesome, he didn't skimp on the toppings, but the crust is what did it for me...it's light and crisp at the same time! Hands down, this is the best pizza in town! This family owned and operated pizza shop has stiff competition being so close to the Worcester line but they not only stand up to the competition but surpass them IMO. The crust is airy and light, thin layer of tomato sauce, and the cheese has great flavor and snaps. Greek style. Recommend pick up. I have not had anything other than their pizzas so I can't comment on their many other dishes. Everyone should give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. They said no problem so I called an hour and half before I needed them for my daughters hockey teams bus meal. That being said, I've been looking for some good old school pizza and this place has it!! They use the old style ovens, not those conveyer belts that give you dry cardboard-like crust. The crust is great, the sauce is very good, and it's not greasy. Just a lot of good flavor and a quality product. Plus the man that is usually there (I assume he's the owner) is very pleasant. Every time I go to Uncle Chuck's I get a small Chicken and Onion pizza with extra sauce. I ask them to cook it a bit longer so the dough is slightly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, just how I like it. I've never had an issue with the amount of toppings. Living in Holden now, we continue to order food from Uncle Chucks five years later when ever we can because we love the family that operates the business and the food. I grew up eating New York style pizza , never was a fan of greek style pizza until I had Uncle Chucks. Every pizza is a work of art, the thin crust we special order is crisp, the sauce and cheese complement each other , and the toppings are arranged in a harmonious balance of flavor. We also frequently ordered the delicious Friday Fish Fry dinners (order early because they sell out) which were lightly battered with minimal grease and the fries are very good too. If I could give six stars it still wouldn't be enough to rate this first class eating establishment.
