The floor is always dirty, table always sticky. The staff is always rude or completely clueless. The food isn't ever worth the price. As well as the games being mostly out of order. read more

We were RV camping at Spangler Hills and came to town for supplies. Kids wanted Pizza and we obliged. Asked locals and checked Yelp. Both led us to John's. Great food, service and attitude. Our server was Karen. We had some very funny exchanges with her. We wanted great food and we got it. Happy 2019 read more

Always good the manager special is our favorite pizza. Lasagna and pastrami are great

Johns has improved since I visited previously. Great food and great service. The pizza is loaded with quality ingredients and is worth the price. The Corney's is amazing and like no other. Johns has great breadsticks and is the only place around that has green olives as a topping choice. The saltiness of green olives really pairs great on a pepperoni pizza. read more

I'll give 4 stars mainly due to the fact they still haven't opened up the full game room. It's definitely sad to see since I know growing up we all spent alot of time making fun memories in that room and now my child along with everyone else's can't experience this. Throwing Burthday Parties there are just not the same anymore. However, their pizzas are my favorite. We always do a Half taco pizza half peanut butter and my son as well LOVES it. Their breadsticks are always perfect and the sauces make them even better. Try the Honey butter!! The staff is very friendly and overall I think the new owners are doing great... but GET THAT GAME ROOM GOING!!!!lol read more

We came into town a day early for a hike to a Telescope Peak! Looked for a pizza place and found this one. Katherine who was our waitress was friendly and really took care of us. The prices are what I would see in Los Angeles and the beer prices are a little better than LA. The vanilla ice cream for 2.95 a scoop was good being it was homemade. If your passing thru Ridgecrest stop and and give it a try, ask for Katherine! And no, she is not someone I know! read more

My entire family loves John's! I have to eat gluten and dairy free and, luckily, John's can accommodate that! They have a great gluten free pizza. I would definitely recommend it! read more

John's pizza was wonderful. My husband grew up going to John's pizza, and we were passing through Ridgecrest and we went to John's for dinner. The service was wonderful, our server Diana was very sweet, attentive and fast. The food was great, we loved the breadsticks and the pizza was excellent. They are revamping the old arcade in the back for the kids- great old movie posters. It was everything my husband remembered and more. read more

Every time I eat at John's, whether it's one of their raised crust pizzas, or one of their amazing meatball grinders, I am never ever disappointed! Always really fresh, and really delicious! The people that work there are always very kind, sweet and helpful. All of this adds up to the winning combination! You definitely need to try John's! read more

Best pizza I've had since my brother, and I moved here. The salads are awesome as well. Been here twice already, and the staff are great!!! read more

John's Pizza - BEST PIZZA N SALAD - Pizza Near Me - Ridgecrest, California

See all

What a great place! Pizza was delicious - awesome crust and sauce. Make sure you order bread sticks and honey butter. Service was friendly. Will make a point to return next time I am in Ridgecrest. read more

For the first time in 30 years I got a taco salad with something other than shredded iceberg lettuce. Very little mozzarella cheese and also received no taco sauce. My delivery person is wonderful, but I will not order this again. Worst taco salad ever. read more

Thanks to John's pizza, good food, fair price and done on time as requested. We were camping and riding dirt bikes and decided to pick up pizza instead of cooking. I called the other factory place in town and was left on hold for five minutes before hanging up. John's answered on the first ring and talked me through the specials. They took my order and we asked for the pizzas to be ready in an hour so we could make a few stops in town. Everything was great, 2 liters, bread sticks and pizzas - thanks! read more

Excellent lasagna, 1 order feeds two. Split the salad and garlic toast that comes with it. Plenty for two with a little room for their ice cream. Excellent service today fast friendly and efficient. read more

This place is a joke. The breadsticks were served cold and the waitress was beyond rude. We will never be back. Oh and the "arcade" isn't even open!! They literally only have one game that works. No wonder this place has been closed 3+ times and only two tables taken when we arrived. read more

I ordered a lasagna it comes with bread and salad and ordered their chocolate ice cream was delivered the hot I was surprised. Fantastic lasagna I would recommend read more

Close at 4pm on Sunday.. I Love your food but that is ridiculous... #fail This is 2018 not 1947

We ate at this pizza place during our first week as new comers and the staff was so sweet and attentive. The bread sticks are delicious and the marinara is homemade and you can tell it is made with care. We ate the pizza called the manager. Best pizza so far, but we plan to come back a lot to try more varieties read more

Great pizza. Wish they had more family dinner specials and the bread sticks are literally just bread no garlic or seasoning just plain. Will be back again read more

The next time I plan on eating at John's Pizza; I'm going to call first to make sure that Virginia is there. She is a fantastic waitress, very down to earth, and a great waitress. Next time I'm going to trust her recommendations because Virginia is always right. I kept telling her "you're right again". I normally don't trust server suggestions; but I trust Virginia's suggestions. As for their pizza crust; go with the hand tossed. It has a unique crispy'ness to it, and it's just right. At all costs, avoid their flat crust(thin crust). It is one of thee worst crusts I've had. Although I wanted to try their homemade ice cream, I was too full; but will definitely try it next time. They have a large dining room, and they are remodeling a game room in the back. I wish they would build a small stage in the dining room in order to have live entertainment, and even karaoke or something. They could really make a lot more money if they got into entertainment. They could become "The Spot" in Ridgecrest. They have a lot of potential that they could tap into. read more

Good geat food should be like the 80s and 90s with all the stuff it has now hope they get more customers

This is one of my only reviews on yelp. We just finished a long day at the gemorama in Trona and wanted some good food but have never been to Ridgecrest. We love pizza and John's looked good. We called for delivery to our motel. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful. Delivery was lightening fast and the delivery person was also very nice. Initially they forgot our breadsticks order but before we could call them back he delivered them when he realized his honest mistake and "made things right". I would definitely order from them again next time we are in town. Another year, another Gem o Rama, another great pizza from John's. This year we dined in. The staff was very patient and accommodating for our large hungry and tired group of 8 (including kids). We will make it our annual tradition! Aloha. read more

I'm giving it 4 stars because yes the pizza is good but I've had some bad pizzas from here as well usually whenever the rude lady answers the phone the food will not be good. They have great delivery service and the drivers are always respectful of your property would like for everyone to try it out hopefully the rude lady doesn't work there anymore read more

Breadstick are bomb Af, but expensive AF lol. Some of the workers are not as friendly, but everyone has a bad day.

Unfortunately we have become disenchanted. I have come to this restaurant since it opened in 1972. We have cajoled and begged our friends to give them a chance. We have repeatedly tried to get a decently baked pizza - without success. It seems that the dough is raw or burnt - and we are terribly disappointed. Last night we ordered 2 small pizzas well done. They arrived undercooked, dough raw. A call to the restaurant got 2 new pizzas cooked. They showed up equally as raw -- pizza dough UNCOOKED. We are mystified. Called to talk to manager last night and today- no return call as of this review. After 45+ years, we are done. Need to have these pizza places go see how it's done at places like Toppers Pizza - every time we eat there, the pizza is perfect. We might try again, but it will be at least 6 months before we return. This saddens us - but $20 a small pizza that is undercooked is unacceptable and embarrassing. Sorry - we had high hopes that this would be our go-to pizza place; it is not. In fact, NO pizza place in town is our go-to. read more

Ordered pizza through GrubHub. Timing was spot on. Asked for extra sauce on pizza. There wasnt extra sauce on pizza. It was ok. read more

I've only ever ordered take-out. The breadsticks are always warm and fresh and delicious. And their italian grinder was sooo good. And the raised crust pizza was amazing too. We've always had great, comforting food from John's. I love their consistency and the fact that everyone is always friendly read more

Under new management, so I figured let's try it, pizzas were ok , breadsticks really good , service was real good , Now let's get to the salad !!!! It was ok , BC dressing was way to thin , but with a price point $4.59 per plate , ah not again , Home Made Ice Cream , $4.00 a scoop , was not more that Ok, little bit grainy, but melted in a New York minute, to much air in the mix ? I'll go back for Pizza only & water read more

Salads and breadsticks are good, a little pricey for what you get..Atmosphere OK.. My only complaint would be the THIN CRUST, taste like grocery store crust, dry and over cooked with not enough topping... read more

We had a large pizza from their menu, a salad and one drink. 40 dollars later and I won't be back. Too pricey for what you get. The thin crust was not good, maybe their rising crust is better, I'll never know. Recommendation - bring the plates out before the pizza arrives so I don't have to stare at it while I wait a couple minutes for my waitress to bring a plate to put the pizza or salad on. read more

Excellent food today! You guys nailed it. My favorite pizza of all times. The best pizza sauce in town!

Had lunch today at Johns! Decent service. Ordered a small thick crust pizza and house salad. The pizza was practically flavorless. The salad was alright but abit pricy for what we got! read more

Excellent phone customer service. Fresh and great tasting ingredients. Fast turn around. And excellent option for those that won't eat a $5 pizza. read more

I gave 3 stars because the food was good and we had relatively good service (she was prompt, refilled drinks in a timely manner, etc). On the flip side, I'm only giving 3 stars because the food was probably the most expensive pizza I've ever ordered and was nickelled and dimed for what I ordered. 2 pizzas and 2 orders of breadsticks ended up costing $50. I was charged for extra sauce that I didn't order and for having half of one pizza pepperoni (which was suggested to us as the better deal than getting two kids pizzas...NOT). I will not be returning to John's solely based on the prices. Pizza should not cost this amount of money, no matter who makes it or how good it is. read more

Love their breadsticks especially when they have the sales although every time I've gotten pizza here it's extremely greasy that you can see the layer at the top and it doesn't taste good at all.I just go for the breadsticks honestly read more

Delivery is ridiculously fast! On multiple occasions I've ordered and they're at my door in 20 mins or less. My while life John's Pizza has only been good for breadsticks and the pizza's nearly inedible. Now that it's under new management all of the food is soooooo much better! Things you have to try: - Taco pizza - Taco salad - Spaghetti w/meat sauce - Turkey grinder - and of course, the breadsticks The only issue I have is that they don't have a website so looking up the menu online is difficult. read more

John's Pizza is a local favorite for me and my family. We enjoy many of the choices on the menu. Always great service and the pizza is EXCELLENT! Be sure to ask the server which crust is recommended. read more

Great place for the whole family. Mid day on Friday and place wasn't busy. We came in with 40 people from camping nearby. They took very good care of us. New owners were great. If you are camping at Spangler this is a must visit. Thanks. read more

We had lasagna, salad and pizza delivered for a Sunday birthday dinner and we were really impressed! That is some good lasagna!! The salad was large and was filled with good stuff and the pizzas were so tasty! And it comes with toasted french bread! Thank you all for a great meal!! read more

Our group consisted of 8 people. However, I paid for two, my brother paid for 3, and my sister paid for 3, and we were billed separately. On EACH separate check, was an extra fee, which was about 15%. I assumed this was a tip, so although infuriated at the fact that I did not get to decide the tip amount, I begrudgingly paid my bill, as well as my other family members. I called John's this morning to ask what the extra charges were, and the woman who answered the phone stated, "They were for parties of 8 or more customers. it says so, right on the menu." So I hung up. The thing that angers me more than a forced tip, is the fact that each one of us were charged about 15% on all three of our individual receipts. None of us, including all of our friends, will eat at this establishment again. read more
