John's Moving Service just moved a few pieces of furniture from Modesto to my son's house in East Bay. They did an excellent job. They are very careful and meticulous. Their prices depend how much time they spend. If you have expensive furniture, ask them to take time and protect with bubbles, and moving blanket, you pay more but they will do excellent job for you , it well worth it. If you want to save money, they can do it faster, but you should not complain about dent or damage. I will definitely use them again, and will recommend them with no reservation. They were punctual to the appointment and worked very efficiently and quickly. Both he and Adam unpackaged and assembled our furniture and were done within an hour. The speed of a person's work is not as important to me as the quality and these guys did a great job. This job was no easy task. They had a lot of heavy lifting, but handled it with ease. I am impressed with John's response time. He is very busy, but made himself available for me in short notice for a Saturday move. This review is long overdue for a move that happened on 06/29/19. Five stars doesn't begin to say how happy I was about John's help. Initially, I met John when I purchased a dining table, side board, and china hutch that needed to be moved from Riverbank to Oakdale (temporarely moved to a neighbor) pending purchase of a new house. John and his crew (Adam, Ethan, Matt, Jonathen & Ricardo) helped me move from a townhouse to a single-family home across the street along with the help of friends and my realtor. Tremendously happy about all their hardwork, from care and consideration to set up beds, dressers, furniture placement, carefully move my dining set and china hutch, etc. A day or two later, I realized that we had forgotten to attach two sideboards and hutches and get them moved against the wall. John came back with one of his crew and made it right at no additional charge.The move was stressful for me as I was recovering from a hip replacement and could not lift more than 25 lbs. At times I was so exhausted and John was so calm, he and his crew kept me centered and helped keep me sane. That alone was worth it's weight in gold and he worked with me on a reasonable price too. John is super nice and patience. I contact him in the very early morning around 7am for unloading my moving truck coming in the afternoon 2-6pm. I need 2 helpers. He offer a very reasonable price and I accept. He was ready and waiting for my call from 2 pm. My truck company kept changing the time to "after 4" then "we will be there 6" and finally arrived 6:45pm! I was frustrated but John replied, " no worry, we can wait".
