We stopped on Easter Sunday for breakfast. It was low key and music was playing very low. I had…read morecoffee and a carrot/orange juice. I enjoyed the juice more than the coffee. The coffee was too strong. Also they offered whole milk or almond milk. There was no half and half or other choices. For my main entrée I order the grilled chicken breast with rice and beans (calentado) which is a typical Columbian dish. It was good and filling. Also ordered a pastry bread made of yuca. It was delicious. The attention was fast and the food was served promptly.

I was excited to see a Jamaican spot so close to home. Still 30 min away but this area is…read moreovercrowded with pizza and Chinese restaurants. There is very little food diversity and you tire quickly of eating out. I read through reviews and ordered to go through the app. When I arrived the door was locked as the reviews stated and I had to call the number. She let me know the food had a few more minutes. I was fine with that because that meant my food was fresh. When I received my food it was indeed fresh and piping hot. The smell of it was irresistible and I wound up nibbling a bit in the car. THIS FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! I got a few things since I didn't now when I would be back. Keep in mind I just went to Jamaica this past summer and I had high hopes and expectations. The beef patty had a beautiful crumbly crust, and the filling was hot and very flavorful. The bread (not sure of the name) was delicious and I wished I had more than one. The jerk chicken however, was the star of the show. The sauce was sweet, spicy with a bit of tang. It was nice and smoky and the most authentic jerk I've had in a long time and yes that includes my trip to Jamaica. I stayed in a resort and the jerk wasn't spicy no matter how many times I asked it never had any kick. You could tell they made it more "American Friendly". Anyway, the platter came with rice and beans, plantain and cabbage. Everything was delicious. I would suggest ordering through the app since the food is made fresh, it also makes for a better experience. If it's one thing I know for sure being a foodie. Very seldom do you get food this good and also have great customer services. Not for this price. Go here for the FOOD not for the business practices. The food is full of LOVE and CARE. For "unseasoned" folks who don't know that peas in Jamaica is beans and that jerk is a type of BBQ sauce save us all from your review and don't order. Stick to your peanut butter and jelly sandwich or please do research and learn about other cultures before you stick you foot in your mouth and show how uncultured you are. To the owner, you answered beautifully. Keep up the good work.

Besides that, the entire front of the restaurant is walled off, so you can't see anything inside. Honestly, who wants to wait outside in the cold and have their credit card scanned through a glass window? Name one other restaurant that acts like this??!? Let's stop with the "playing it safe" excuse. We all did that in 2020/2021 and then the world moved on. It's time to be honest and simply admit that you don't like dealing with customers Ridiculously awkward ordering + pickup process, insanely long wait times, inconsistent product (portion sizes, sometimes meat on bone and others chicken breast jerk), mistakes on no less than 6 of my orders, etc. Started going to Hibiscus in Ledgewood.
