This place is completely unprofessional. My family member recently got her lashes done here that caused serious discomfort in one eye. When we called to have them looked at or fixed, the manager was rude, dismissive, and clearly annoyed we were even calling. I've personally been to this place a few years ago and had a terrible experience myself , the lashes felt hard as a rock, my eyes hurt for days, and I never went back. If I would have known my family member had an appointment here, I would have told her not to go! The manager also replies to reviews in an extremely unprofessional way. Instead of taking feedback seriously, she gets defensive, sarcastic, and even confrontational. If you read the replies, you'll see for yourself. It reflects exactly how they treats customers in person. We won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been going to Johnnys lashes since 2015 . I have never canceled an appointment until yesterday . Laura refused to give me my deposit back. My appointment wasn't canceled within 24 hours. I explained I was stuck in urgent care I had no service . I will never go back to this place again. Poor customer service . I wasn't going to write a review at first, but after some time I decided to share my experience. I got my lashes done by Laura. While she does a very good job on lashes, her attitude is unacceptable. She has poor customer service, is very impatient, and comes across as rude and confrontational. Honestly, it feels like she doesn't like anyone outside of her own ethnicity, which makes the experience uncomfortable. If I can give 0 stars, I would! DO NOT GO TO JOHNNY'S LASHES. First red flag is that they apply your lashes inside a clothing store, and they also do micro blading inside the clothing store !!! They do not clean or disinfect beds before /after a client. NOT ONLY THAT.. They ruined my natural lashes. They do not apply lashes individually, they add lots of glue and clumps of lashes, they even applied lashes on to my eyelid. NEVER AGAIN COMING HERE. Please beware of this place!!! These are not true eye lash extensions, they used cluster lashes and really thick black glue that dried extremely thick and hard. This caused the glue to poke my eye. Two weeks later, my natural lashes are completely destroyed. The place I went to is on Sierra next to Target. Not very clean open area behind a clothing store. Maggie did my eye lashes and in the middle of working f on me, she left to work on other people or "fix" things that a customer was complaining about. My eyes were closed with tape so I don't know if she washed her hands. I did not see her wear gloves. I had to ask her to please use hand sanitizer after leaving to fix another client. She wasn't rude or anything the technique and products used suck. My eyes burned right after and they handed me a hand fan to hold with eyes closed to help with the burning. My eye was immediately red and irritated. Had swelling in my left eye the very next day. Lasted for a few days and had to get medicine for it. Will never return and my natural eye lashes are completely ruined and falling off with the heavy fake lash. I've been letting them fall off naturally but the hard glue irritates and pokes my eye. I walked in and explained this was my first time getting false lashes and I told the front desk lady I wanted mink lashes. (I had done enough research to know that mink were the best) the lady informed me that they made their own lashes and that mink were too thin for first timers who wanted a "natural look" (which is what I requested and emphasized) and to get the human hair with extra sensitive glue. RED FLAG #1!! I was apprehensive but decided to proceed because from the looks of it the human hair was okay. Avi was my lash tech. I assumed the process would take 1.5 to 2 hours for proper application but she finished in 45 minutes. RED FLAG #2. Before I had a chance to ask questions she was applying a "Mascara" that she claimed would make the lashes and glue adhere better. Smh I'm sure she could feel my tension because to just apply mascara without asking for permission or explaining to get customer consent had me irritated. As soon as she finished and I looked in the mirror my lashes looked NOTHING like I imagined. They looked STIFF, CHEAP and nowhere near natural like I asked. I also started to feel a slight irritation in my right eye and when I brought it to her attention she explained that the glue was just tight and I needed to go home and let it loosen. LAST STRAW! when I came home it got WORSE!!! I couldn't sleep and mid night my eyes were so dry and burning and irritated. It was unbearable. Whatever "glue" they use is TERRIBLE. And by reading other reviews other people experienced exactly the same. I asked some of my friends about their experiences and they said you should BARELY feel the lashes on your eyes. The next day my eyes didn't get any better so I decided to go to a place closer to home with WAYYYY better reviews to have them removed. I'm pretty shocked. I went and got my lashes done a week ago. They gave me NO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS, never explained that they apply clusters and not individuals. These are all things that come with a proper consultation which I did not get. I walked out of there with my eyes BURNING and so much discomfort even after using the "sensitive" glue they have. I just knew something was not right. I ended up going to an actual lash artist who looked and my extensions, and what do you know. They applied the lashes ON MY SKIN !!! I have been going here for many years , recently was going to upland location , after the virus hit, just started back , found Hope she use to be in upland , I knew her work , she did a new set on me last week , she has always did a great job! That night I noticed it splitting an one eye looked different , I called to have them fixed , couldn't go back right then I had a fever , made it back this afternoon , someone else did it hit me! I went and the same day my eyes became pink and I thought maybe it's the lash glue I chose the water proof glue I went to bed and Saturday my eyes were blood shot red i didn't wNt to think it was my eyelashes so I said it's probably my allergies . Throughout the day they were itching . I couldn't stand it anymore and I just knew it was a pink eye I was so disgusted with them during this pandemic we are supposed to be extra extra clean !!! Just got my lashes done here yesterday by Ariana and my right eye is already bare on the inner and outer corner. This is ridiculous. Been a customer for years. No more. Lots of mix ups on my appointments and so not worth the drive to Fontana. Not spending my $70 plus tip there any longer. They require a 24 hour notice to cancel for them not too take your $25 deposit. So please make sure you don't have an emergency come up unexpectedly because sorry ladies they are taking your deposit. No rescheduling either if it's within the 24 hour time frame. They rather get that $25 deposit money then keep your business. I had been contemplating leaving for about 6 months after they kept messing up my appointments. That $25 they kept of my money was worth it for them to lose a customer of 3 years every 3 weeks ‍ It was worth it for me too, not wasting my time driving and spending my money. I have been a customer of this business since it opened in Loma Linda ten years ago and after today I will never step foot in there again. I came in for a fix because my usual technician was unavailable. I was seen by Yali who was extremely inexperienced. My lashes looked uneven, they were thicker on one side, you could see the glue above and underneath the lash line. I asked her to fix it three times. Then I walked out of the store and walked back in again because I was still super unhappy with them. The front desk person lied and said that my lashes were falling off and I should have had a new set instead of a fix. My lashes were fine except for the end. I had them done on the 1st and almost never need a fix. They generally last at least 4 weeks. If a new set was needed instead of a fix I should have been notified prior to their hideous attempt at "fixing them." They refused to fix them and refused to give me a refund. I then asked to speak to the manager. The manager Laura Pham called me and was so rude and condescending. She said that she didn't know what I wanted her to do when her front desk staff said they don't offer refunds. I am shocked that I would be treated so rudely by the staff and manager when i've been a customer since they've opened. I feel so disappointed by the experience, the service, their inconsiderate business practices and horrible customer service. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have received services from Johnnie's for over 5 yrs, visited all locations, they are the best, Kassandra and Hope were my technicians and Laura the owner on a few occasions, I am very sensitive to all chemicals, no problems in 5 yrs, on the heat, cold, pool and different climates they don't budge, observe Johnnie and Laura, power couple at its finest, seems like Covid gave businesses lemons but they made lemonade, Laura is definitely about her business and receives my applaud. I am beyond pleased with my outcomes, the one and only time that I found the need to discuss a concern, Laura listened and stated that she'd keep my recommendation in mind. I had my lashes done this last Friday, I paid 70.00 dollars. By Saturday they were falling off. First due to Covid they did it outside in a cabana. It was 100 Degrees outside and super windy. The poor girl doing my lashes was having a hard time placing them because of the wind. I truly believe that due to the heat, the glue did not take. I called first thing on Tuesday due to they are closed on Mondays. I ask for the manager and this unprofessional. Uneducated person by the name of Laura come to the phone, with the worst attitude from the beginning. I explained what happened, she proceeds to tell me I have to pay 10.00 for an appointment and once I got there she would be the judge to charge me or not!!! Do not come here. Unless you never want to go without fake lashes again avoid at all costs. Johnny and his wife were kind enough but the lashes destroy your natural lashes. I quit going because my own lashes were ruined by the girls when they take them off they rip your own lashes off although they are supposed to be careful, they are not. Now I have to wear strips everyday, which I never did before. Not only that, I had purchased gift cards $100 worth, And Laura will not honor them. I thought gift cards never expire as with anywhere else in the world they never expire. I still have the hundred dollars worth of gift cards I went just to get strips since I do not want them putting lashes on me anymore because I'm trying to grow out my own natural lashes again, & Laura said the gift cards expire after one year. This is not okay or normal. Nowhere does it say on the gift card that they expire in one year. Gift cards usually never expire so I wasted $100 for nothing. To top it all off, my natural eyelashes were ruined, and now I have to wear fake lashes all the time which I never did before I had naturally long lashes. Fast forward the next day Tuesday I go to my same location san Bernardino and got what i always get !!! However poor customer service that I had to pay again !!!! I decided to see what all the hype was about when it comes to lash extensions and took the jump to visit Johnny's lashes. I made an appointment online (super easy) and based on yelp reviews, I chose Celena. I arrived five minutes late, but was signed in right away and within moments I was in the back. Since it was my first time, Celena took the time to explain the different lashes, their lengths, and their durability to me. She patiently answered all my questions and made me feel really good about my decision. In about 30 minutes, she was done and she went over care tips as well as handed me a little piece of paper with some quick care tips. Would definitely recommend! read more

You have different eyelash growth, you have anagen (baby lash), catagen (adult), telogen (old lashes that fall out). If you clump all your natural lashes it could causes permanent lash loss. Upset about the level of professionalism. I booked an appointment online which you would assume would mention through the booking that a deposit was required via email or even when submitting the booking. NO! On the first page of the website it states to pay a deposit through cash app zelle but when booking it doesn't say required ok cool. I receive a text the next day upon booking and it stated to pay a deposit via cash app or zelle which I did with a comment through zelle saying my name I receive a text saying my appointment was cancelled. I text them back saying I paid my deposit already with a screen shot of zelle and they ask what time my appointment was for so I tell them and the get no reply. I show up to my appointment for them to say your appointment was cancelled. No one text to say it needed to be rescheduled no one replied to my text message. Yes they are affordable but the lack of service is why I will just pay more and go somewhere else more professional. read more
