A Slice Above: Johnny Pomodoro's Crispy Cup Pizza Now my pictures do no justice but this is a beautiful pie! I've tried a lot of pizza out here but Johnny Pomodoro's stands out with its innovative and mouthwatering Crispy Cup Pizza. Each slice is a masterpiece, featuring a crust that achieves the elusive perfect crunch, a golden standard for pizza aficionados. The toppings are generously layered, offering a burst of flavor in every bite, harmoniously blending traditional and bold, new tastes. But the true pièce de résistance is the heavenly honey drip - an unexpected yet utterly divine addition that elevates the pizza from merely delicious to transcendental. It's this sweet, sumptuous finishing touch that lingers on your palate, compelling you to savor each bite slowly. Johnny Pomodoro's has not just created a pizza; they've crafted an experience. One that's full of flavor, texture, and a delightful surprise. For anyone in search of pizza perfection, the journey ends here. Johnny Pomodoro's Crispy Cup Pizza is not just food; it's a revelation.

Order the Grumpy Garderner and the cook was probably taking it seriously to make such a bad pizza... No marinara , no pesto and box full of oil from loads and loads of cheese... Cant even pull a cut pf slic put with all cheese sticking to box... Called and no one cared to get back on the phone Avoid.

I live around the corner from Johnnie P's. Excitement was high when it opened two years ago. Quality and consistency have continued to slide since. They charge a premium price, yet Dominoes cares more about the food they make. It's sad to see.

Can only rave about the Crispy Pepperoni Cup tray pizza. It has a thick and chewy crust. Not many places in Boston have the crispy edge pepperoni cups like the one here. Very cheesy and added touch of honey. I personally didn't mind the honey but I wonder if it can be put on the side. Will definitely get this pizza again

Great pizza. A little pricey but can easily make multiple meals out of a large to make it worth the splurge.

I decided to go with the Wicked Pesto Pizza. It came with the signature crust, pesto base, grilled chicken, blue cheese, asiago, and fresh garlic. The driver dropped it off in front of the building and I picked it up. After first trying it, I was not impressed. It was very hard and dry. I had to reheat it in the microwave for it to be edible. I was expecting a delicious pizza packed with flavor. Instead I got something that I had to force myself to eat. I know Boston is not known for their pizza but I was expecting something halfway decent. If it was not for the Uber Eats discount I would have been upset with spending the cash. Next time I will try to check out some other spots for a slice of pizza.

The slices are generous and satisfying. The slice and drink special is a great value, especially in this part of the city. Service is quick, direct, and efficient. It is easy to stop in, order, and get on your way. There are plenty of tables inside and a decent number outside if you want to sit and enjoy your meal. The location is hard to beat. Just a few blocks from Boston Common and the Public Garden, it is a perfect stop for a casual lunch or snack. This is my go-to spot when I want a quick, high-quality slice in the area.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
