Thanks for the response, Johnny. You've made me aware that I put my secondary concern first, which seems to be misleading or confusing. My primary concern is the non-standard and misleading pricing for your burrito the way it was presented by whomever took my order over the phone, and the way it's listed, at least on the GrubHub menu (which Yelp directs to for late night ordering). Your employee didn't mention that meat - chicken - is a $6 upcharge. And as previously stated, the GrubHub / late night menu fails to mention up front that the base price includes no meat (or plant based meat alternatives). Both of these you could partially blame on the customer not very thoroughly reading your menu, however, the fact you have a vegetarian burrito listed elsewhere on your menu is a huge logical indicator, as well as standard menu practice / lifelong customer experience, that if you have a veg burrito and a classic burrito listed separately, that the classic is not going to be vegetarian. I mean come on. This is really basic logic. And if you're going to structure your menu in such a way, the restaurant industry standard is to mention either in the ingredients description or next to the price that the classic burrito includes no meat nor meat substitute when you have a vegetarian burrito listed separately. You'll find people less annoyed by the price if they are clearly made aware of it beforehand.

Brunch review; Did the bottomless option. Drinks were good: they bring the juices and champagne and you pour your own. Lots of good good. Favorites for sure were chicken and waffles and elote.

Not bad but the service was confused and confusing. They were so busy trying to find a way to charge our party as much as possible for us being a group of 7 people that they couldn't listen to what we were trying to order well and it led to items not showing up and/or coming extremely late. They're disorganized and don't know how to handle groups. They just want try to force everyone in the table into the $48 per person option to make their lives easier. The food wasn't bad. It was actually decent and I'd eat it again but on the principle of their service, it's highly unlikely that I'd go back. My recommendation is to just go (during brunch anyway) with a group who's all dead set on dining fully and doing the specials.

For one of our group events, we were happy to be accommodated here. The first floor is cozy with wood floors and soft lighting, a big bar along the left and various sizes of tables. Customers here seemed very happy. They have a selection of Mexican style foods like burritos, and many drinks and mixed drinks. Upstairs there are two levels, a middle bar area with open floor, and a top area that can be used for private parties. My main issue was the higher we went, the worse the beers tasted, mostly due to dirty tap lines. A few friends and I tested this theory and ordered pitchers at the downstairs bar, which all tasted clean and delicious. (If a staff member reads this, I'd have a professional change and/or clean the lines of the upstairs bars.) Regardless, we had a great time here! They allowed us to have separate checks, which is great for families. I ordered the burrito, which was delicious and served nicely - very filling for the price. I ordered a hazy IPA upstairs, and a DC pilsner pitcher downstairs to share. Prices on beer was a little high, but worth the fun times. Bartenders at all the bars were friendly and welcoming, thanks for the great service.

A nice brunch! I enjoyed the solid portion sizes for the low cost, the good service, and the quiet atmosphere. The restaurant is in need of a bit of a face lift and a little more cleanliness, but I enjoyed this experience!

Came here as it was recommended as a great taco place - the atmosphere and music was reminiscent of a college bar. We got tacos, and my favorite was the blackened shrimp. I also got the carne asada, pollo asado, but I would not recommend the fish tacos. We also got a quesadilla to go, where I was so surprised it as filled with bell peppers.

I went here for the first time as part of a group. I don't go into DC much but thought I'd do something different. It was bachata night and I like the music and dance so was interested to go. The food was kinda cold when it got to me s as bad the tortillas soggy so o couldn't pick up. Maybe use two tortillas for the tacos. I can get the same tacos and better margarita in old town for $10 cheaper. The dj and music was good but started playing music loudly a little early so hard to hear yourself talk upstairs before the class starts. It looks like good space for DC to dine downstairs and dance floor gets small if a lot of people. (30 or so)

Cool bottomless brunch spot. Good deal all you can drink with an entree included. Lots of juice mixer options all included. Food is filling with good Tex mex options

Just no. The bouncer scratched my real id with his keys. DJ is not good. Drinks are boring and served in plastic cups.

Ask the Community - Johnny Pistolas

What time is the kitchen open until on Fridays?

Hi! I'm sorry I have no idea...I only go on Sundays for football :)

Does the entire table have to participate in bottomless mimosas/drinks or does that only apply to the bottomless food?

That applies to the food only

One of the best new spots I've tried this year. On weekends, a reservation will be a must, as they…read moreare small and get packed, but for good reason. It's a sexy basement vinyl den with additional outdoor seating, 10/10 unique cocktails, and incredible Japanese inspired small plates. Between two visits, we have tried 6 different drinks. They are named after songs and listed on the back of a fake vinyl cover. Each costs around $20, but with the mandatory tip and tax, it comes to around $26-28 per drink. The since I left you, though, is worth every penny. It is similar to an old fashioned but a little sweeter, with bourbon (makers mark), and while the menu says it also has miso, blackberry, cardamom, and cacao, I wouldn't say those flavors come through. But it is one of the best cocktails being served in DC right now. It is so good. They serve it with a cardamom tuile that is delicious as well. There is a lot of variety on here, but my number 2 is the Roses, a bright red gin based drink with a hint of fruitiness and a spicy kick in the back end. If you want something a little sweeter, the Takeover is a cognac based drink with coffee notes served with a mini donut. The food is exceptionally well seasoned and so flavorful. The fried chicken cannot be missed, and I love that you can get it in half or full size portions. The shrimp tempura might be even better. You get four large pieces that are super crisp and have a little orange sauce on them. Amazing. Our second visit we tried their chips and dip, and these potato chips alone are worth a visit. Large, crunchy, and served with a tasty ranch dip. I think 2 dishes is good for two people to fill you up, but add a third if hungry. The place is quite expensive, but they are worth it. For a date night, they are a great choice. Four drinks and three dishes shared between two people came to around $195, but as of this review, they are offering a $30 off deal if you pay through the app In Kind. Bonus points because the first time we came, they seated us maybe 5 minutes after our reservation time, and they gave us a free glass of cava. Top notch customer service right there

This bar is sweet -- awesome music, a neat menu, truly craft cocktails, and a unique menu. We tried several cocktails and each was delicious - from spicy to sweet, they don't miss. We also tried the cheese burger egg rolls and the tuna hand roll. The food is expensive for what you get but it's advertised to be small bites, not a meal. The egg rolls felt like remixed in n out, and as a Californian, I was grateful. Why not 5 stars? With the premium pricetag, I do expect premium service. The bartender was more interested in chatting with some folks he knew who came to sit at the bar. He also spent a lot of time chatting up the couple next to us, so do sit at the bar if you're feeling social. However, for the spare attention he did provide us, he was a bit condescending when we asked for a different glass for a drink that came in a bowl. It was slow until the very end of our stay and yet there were several times where I had an empty glass for a long period (and wanted to order more) or needed water. FYI for 6 drinks and a few bar bites it was $165... we went for a cheap burger dinner afterwards!

I know reservations are probably highly recommended, but we were fortunate to walk in at just the right moment and snag a seat. The seating is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening. The atmosphere is just my style, an elegant, dark, grown and sexy vibe that really sets the mood. The decor is striking, with thoughtful touches that create an inviting space to unwind. While it leans a bit on the pricier side, the exceptional service more than justifies the cost. Jordan and the team were incredibly knowledgeable about both the drinks and food menu, offering suggestions that perfectly matched our tastes. We tried two standout drinks that I can't recommend enough: the Attractive Nuisance and El Tiburon, (which is an Old Fashioned made with gin). The bartenders here clearly know what they're doing, each drink was crafted with care and precision. The good music in the background added to the overall ambiance, making it a delightful spot to spend an evening.

Ambiance: from the outside you'd have no idea that a hidden treasure awaits you up a flight of stairs. The decor was very mysterious, perfectly dimmed, and sexy. They added greenery near the hostess station to create what I would describe as an exotic/jungle vibe. This area also contained a beautiful small bar and a few cozy seatings. Next, the hostess led us to a table inside where the magic of candles, cozy tables, and intimate booths immediately meets your eyes. Did I mention that we sat in most comfy green velvet chairs in our cozy booth? How sexy! Service: our waiter, Jordan, was the best! He provided great service and recommendations. However, shoutout to the rest of the staff because it was truly all hands on deck. Drinks: the bartender is indeed a mixologist! There is no question of the magic he created in a glass. Her drink- I ordered the Attractive Nuisance, an elevated spritz. The drink was perfectly balanced with flavors to include G.H. Mumm Champagne, Avua Prata Cachaca, Cocchi Americano, Saffron, Vanilla. I literally tasted all the flavors in the drink and the liquor ratio was just right. Of course I went with another round, you simply have to try it understand why I did. His drink: El Tiburón-Let's just say that he said that this is now one of his favorite cocktails because it was smooth! Small bites: the kitchen was out of mussels and their famous donuts so we decided to try the Franks en Crute, the sexy adult version of pigs in a blanket lol. Such a delicious treat, well balanced flavors giving both sweet (flaky puff pastry) and savory (well grilled wagyu beef). Definitely recommend. The music was perfect for the evening! The bar was filled with all matured folks enjoying their group meets or dates, the atmosphere welcomed all. As I stated earlier, this has now become a regular on the list and I'm excited to visit again.
