This is a very spacious and trendy desert place. They have lots of good deserts and drinks. Very comfortable seats and you can relax for a while. Iced coffee was very tasty and good.

Had the Ferrero Rocher waffle. While the toppings were pretty good, the waffle was soft and not warm at all (i.e. it was premade despite being advertised as 'freshly baked'). At least the soft serve was great - rich & fragrant. Though disturbingly it's pre-dispensed and placed in the fridge. On another occasion I had the $2 cone (available as vanilla/chocolate/twist). It was decent, and a good size for the price. The chocolate isn't as good as the vanilla. The service isn't very good - they didn't properly ask us what we wanted (e.g. dine-in or takeout, egg or eggless waffle, what to pair with the waffle).

Had a great experience! Social distancing measures in place & felt super safe. The place was super clean, all workers were wearing masks. The dining area is open, but we wanted the food to go. The package was perfect + the ice cream was packaged separately.

The food was delicious and the service is really good. The place was kind of empty, cuz it there was my family and another couple but it was good

Ordered from here for a girls night in as we were craving some dessert. I got a pretty delicious waffle. I got the White Chocolate and Raspberry one. Also love that the ice cream was still cold and not melted. Would order from here again.

Check out Johny custard for some yummy eats and desserts. I really liked their poutine which is made with veggie gravy. Super filling and hits the spot just right! And all for a generous price! You can take the cheese curds out to make the meal vegan. The highlight for me was the chocolate fudge cake. The sponge cake was so soft and so moist. It was so easy to slice through. Not too sweet, it made the perfect dessert. The custard on top was such a treat, mixed together it made it so much better.

I visited during a weekday when they first opened. Great service and this was a nice change from the usual D-spot or Demetres. Their menu was interesting and had a lot of variety. Decor was nice as well. I really enjoyed my sticky toffee pudding and warm custard, very tasty but I wish the portion was a bit bigger given the price point. Milkshake was very rich and delicious! I hope this place does well!

It was a cute little spot. There weren't as many options as other dessert places. For this price point I expected a lot more. The items are definitely overpriced. Overall it was a disappointing visit.

Tres Leches cake is my all time favourite, but it's so hard to come across in Toronto. I was super excited to learn Johnny Custard carried them. It is the perfect dessert for hot summer days - the soft pound cake is soaked in three different kinds of cold milk (condensed, evaporated and cow milk) and topped with your choice of toppings. Great addition to the Lawrence East strip. They are halal to accommodate local dietary needs as they do have some meat items like chicken and waffle. We ordered: Sticky toffee pudding Cookie and ice cream Cheesecake All were delicious and nicely portioned. We especially liked the warm cookie and ice cream! Cheesecake was creme brulee flavor which was a delicious combination. My husband enjoyed sticky toffee pudding a lot! I can't wait to come back again to try other items on the menu.

The place is very clean and customer service was quite good. We tried crepes, cookie cake, pizza and waffles. The desserts were delicious and fresh. This place is like an old fashioned diner and it's halal as well. It's a good dessert place or a nice place for some snacks. I would recommend this place as it delivers on what's expected and prices are reasonable.

Chicken Nachos!

AMAZING!!!! I was SO SURPRISED that it was right across the street from my favorite Shawarma Place too! I also got the sticky toffee pudding with soft serve which was amazing! My other girlfriends got some different crepes (they both loved them!). I was very surprised that the prices were actually lower than D-Spot! I love how many desserts they had to offer. Our server was SO sweet and patient! Definitely coming back!!

Biscoff waffle

Yummy waffles but expensive. Can go to other places in the area to get dessert. Customer service was good

Fruit plate... none of the fruits were ripe. They may consider offering this when warmer

Hanbingo - Blueberry and mango cheesecake bingsu cup

So the bear itself in the affogato was a solid icy chunk of milk (coz we chose the milk flavour) that just frozen. We added the affogato on top of it and while it looked aesthetic, the dessert didn't make sense at all. We were unable to break the frozen chunk or be able to mix it with the coffee and the coffee mixed with that frozen chunk submerged tasted really bad. Paying $16 for that wasn't worth it at all. The bingsu was good though. We got the mango bingsu bowl and it came loaded with mangoes and a marshmallow and an oreo cookie to make it look pretty! I don't think I'd come back to try anything else here. Was a little disappointed.

Delicious desserts, waffles ice cream, smoothies, and more. We ordered: Medium Mango Smoothie - $7.95 Simple Pleasures Waffle - $15.50 The waffle was light and fluffy and the toppings of fruit and chocolate were a great combination. I requested to be lighter on the chocolate but there was still a LOT of chocolate on our waffle. The mango smoothie was refreshing and sweet. I started going to Holy Choco when they first opened and their service was really good from some of the owner. Super attentive and caring staff. Unfortunately, it's since gone downhill since they've hired new staff and we had a number of small problems when visiting this time (dirty tables, dirty cutlery, requested if our food could be put in to go containers because they didn't want to do dishes, unfriendly, etc.) I hope they improve upon these staffing issues soon. Their seating area is good for friends and groups to loiter. Also, if you plan on bringing a laptop, they have MANY OUTLETS!!

For items: we chose strawberry, banana, halal marshmallow, waffle bites, brownie bites, and Oreo with a round of cappuccino's ($5.50 each). The interior is nicely decorated with a cute angel photo op in the back, and window bar seats and couches to choose from. Great spot for 2-4 people. The only criticism I could have was it took a while to get our order. So, it's not one of those places you can be dipping into expecting to be done in 20mins! We stayed for nearly 3 hours and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Kream Dessert - earl grey spanner

Kream Dessert

(55 reviews)

Downtown Core

I stopped by Kream after seeing all the hype on Instagram about the famous Korean "Dubai…read morechocolate." When I saw the price was $9.90 per chocolate, I was honestly a little surprised, bc it's sold under 7 per chocolate in Korea. But they were running a promotion until the 15th -- 5 for $30 -- which made it much more reasonable. I've never had the original version sold in Korea, so I can't compare it directly, but from what I've seen and heard, it seems pretty similar to what's trending there. Korean reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and people say it tastes just like the viral version. The texture is definitely chewy, just like the name suggests, and it's very sweet. Personally, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but that's just my preference. That being said, I gave some as gifts and they absolutely loved it. So if you enjoy rich, sweet desserts -- or you're looking for something trendy and fun to share -- this would be a great choice. The shop itself is small and cozy, but very welcoming. The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. Overall, even though it's not exactly my personal favorite flavor-wise, I can understand the hype. It's a fun treat to try at least once, especially if you've been curious about the viral Korean Dubai chocolate trend. I'd recommend stopping by and taking advantage of the promo while it lasts!

The cube cakes are rich without being overly sweet, and you can tell care went into both texture and balance. They're also filled generously with so much cream! Prices are fair for the quality, especially given how unique some of the flavors are. Great spot if you're craving something a bit more refined than your typical bakery dessert.
