I actually found this place just walking my dog around the neighborhood, and I'm so glad I did The woman working up front was so incredibly kind -- she was so sweet to my dog, and when I came back later we ended up laughing and chatting. It just felt so warm and genuine. I'm from NY and have been living in CA for 2 years. It's so impossible to find decent pizza and I never believe places when they market it as "NY pizza" but this definitely is on par!!! I got the sun-dried tomato and goat cheese slice, it more or less was a plain cheese slice with some goat cheese and tomatoes sprinkled on top, I do wish there was a bit more goat cheese though. The worst customer service . Just tried to order dressing on the side as I have for over 10 years and the person on the phone got angry because I did not want to give him my phone number. I have a major complaint about Johnnys Pizza in century city. I called the restaurant to ask questions about whether or not the pizza is safe for our family because we have food allergies. Simple questions like is there cross contamination with eggs and nuts, etc. Not only did they refuse to answer my question, they told me that I'm harassing them, since I called more than once due to getting disconnected in the parking lot. I truly just live in the neighborhood and want to know if the pizza would be safe for our family to order and they said they are refusing service to me. They told me how dare I ask them questions in the middle of their busy day. Having food allergies is a disability and it is illegal to discriminate against a customer due to a disability. This is immoral and illegal. I asked to speak to the owner of the restaurant to let them know that 1. Their staff is completely ignorant about food allergies and 2. It's illegal to refuse service to a customer based on disability. "You have food allergies so we will not tell you what goes in the same pizza oven and we refuse service to you because it's 11:00am and it's a busy day" I have never ever left a bad review for any establishment but I am so appalled by 1. The amount of ignorance that food establishment manager could have about food allergens and 2. That someone could discriminate against our family for having a disability. We eat out at restaurants allllllll the time and we are usually treated with kindness and the restaurant works with me to figure out whether or not an item is safe for us. A manager of a restaurant should be educated about top 10 food allergens. Period. This is appalling, illegal, immoral, and disgusting. The manager told me he refuses to give my phone number to the owner of the company so that is why I'm making this review. To bring light to how disgusting some restaurants can treat their customers. My daughter loves New York, but her dad I refused to let her accept her college admittances there - not our baby on those filthy subways - and this is closest we can get to a pie. Plus, I raised her on Johnnies on Miracle Mile; I would order the puttanesca pasta and she and my ex-husband would nosh on the pepperoni pizza and we used to sit there and eat the garlic knots. This Century City location is, no offense, more of a hole-in-the-wall so we do take-out these days, pizza only. Its neighbor is the ultra-popular Clementine, so best parking is either before or after the lunch rush. Place is a little run-down. Menu on the wall has no prices, and the soda machine has been broken every time I've come in. I ordered an Italian chopped salad without meat to go, but the salad mistakenly had pepperoni. When I brought it back and asked them to re-make it without meat, the person at the counter started giving me the third degree about when I bought it and kept saying "I have to tell the owner. I have to tell the owner." She seemed scared. I told her not to bother and left. The pizza is good, and it's important to support local businesses. The place is small, but very cute, they have music playing, and the kitchen is visible to customers so you can see them making your food, also it wasn't very busy so our food came to our table quickly. I tried the spinach and ricotta ravioli, it was absolutely delicious and my coworker ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, the plates were around $20 each, the food is very tasty without being overwhelming. I tried coming here on a Sunday (I thought they were open according to their website and yelp) but when I went to the door, they were clearly closed. I had food delivered to my office for a lunch meeting. The pizza, chicken, garlic bread and salad was good. However, the delivery lady was rude and had a bad attitude. I even gave her a $50 tip. I regret giving her that tip with that attitude. Hope it doesn't happen again to anyone. read more

I came here and ordered a couple of slices and didn't like it. It seems like a nice a little place at first glance. But I can't say I would go back. In regards to the pizza, it appeared to be over baked and the toppings had no integration with the pizza. For example, the olives tasted as if they were just straight from out of a can placed on top of the pizza. Also the wait for the pizza seemed ridiculous. My boyfriend and I had an unfortunate experience with a recent order from Johnny's Pizza that left me completely dissatisfied with the service. The food took much longer than expected to arrive, nearly two hours after ordering! When the delivery person did come, she came up to me with the receipt instead of the pizza?? There seemed to be a huge lack of clear communication that led to confusion but she left right after with or without my pizza, I wouldn't know. I gave Johnny's a call back to say that my pizza has not yet arrived and the employee was being completely dismissive. One of the BEST Pizzas I've ever had! As a NY Pizza Afficionado, it's hard to find pizza that really satisfies. Ordered the Cheese Pizza with Olives and Peppers and it was FABULOUS.The cheese was perfectly gooey and authentic as mozzarella can be. LOVED the tomato sauce just the right amount of tart and sweet. Wow - Johnnies is some really awesome NY pizza! We have tried so many pizza places over the past few years, and they were all terrible, but we finally tried Johnnies and honestly, some of the best pizza we've ever had. (and we are from NYC) The crust is perfect - chewy, firm on the bottom, and still moist on the inside. Yum! The sauce and cheese are spot on. We had one pie with fresh basil and they didn't skimp. The other pie was pepperoni, mushroom, and anchovy. The hubby loved it and is excited for leftovers. Also - the pies were delivered fast and piping hot hot hot!
