I have been using this company for more years than I care to admit. Today I called because of a plumbing issue at my home. My two daughters, both over 18 years old, were home so I went to work. I agreed to have the work done, although I felt the price was a bit high. The company had been professional up to this point, so I was okay with paying that price. Then I listened to a lengthy voicemail from Erik, stating that the work was completed and I needed to pay. He constantly repeated it on the voicemail as if I were a deadbeat customer trying to get out of paying a bill. When I called Erik and explained how I felt about his voicemail, he was not apologetic and told me to contact his manager, which I did. After speaking with Mike, I don't feel that Erik will face any consequences for his actions. I was once a long time customer, who now has to go elsewhere because one of their employees was having a bad day and decided to treat a customer like something stuck on the bottom of his shoe. read more

I called John the Plumber to fix my toilets. I told the woman on the phone that I had the parts for the one toilet but I needed two angle stops and two braided stainless steel supply lines ($30 in parts.) I told her that the angle stops needed to be sweated as they were frozen. She said they had a $90 service fee but if I had to work done it would be waived. The woman gave me a time frame from 12-4 and told me they would call a half hour before. I called them at 3:30 and the woman said that they were on their way. At 4:15, 2 men arrived for a one person job. They then called the manager & proceeded to give me a estimate of $750 for a job that is a one person job that takes a 1/2 hour. I think they saw a woman, and they thought they could take advantage, I paid the $90 service fee. I called another plumber and had the same work done for $150 Lesson learned don't use John the Plumber unless you don't care about $$$$ read more

I called the on Tuesday, they made an appt for Friday 12pm -5pm. On Friday at 3:50pm a woman called and rudely said they didn't need to come to give me a quote on installing a new shower pan. They can do it over the phone. So I said, I wish I was told when I called or before I waited from 12pm to 3:50pm of my time and changed other appts to be home waiting. She had a major attitude and never apologized for the inconvenience and started lecturing me about the work. I said, " you know what, GOODBYE!" Bad business attitude. read more

I had a leak in an outside spigot that was original to the house built in 1964. I called John the Plumber on Monday around 4:00 PM and they sent out one of their staff (Maurice) for 9:00 AM Tuesday morning. He arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He explained the work that needed to be done and quoted a very fair price. Maurice was a pleasure to deal with and the work he performed was done in a timely manor. The outside spigot has been repaired . I am very pleased. My only complaint is that there are not more service professionals like Maurice to help a homeowner when in need. Moen provided a whole new faucet - JTP wanted to charge me full price to come out and replace it a little over one year after installation. Office is a nightmare to work with - snarky, rude and unhelpful office staff. I know this is South Florida but this is next level rudeness. Takes them two days to fax over proof of insurance (shouldn't you have that "at the ready"?) and they want to blame me for their disorganization? Never again. I went with Kyle Plumbing. These guys were amazing. They were the only company who would give me a quote on a new gas water heater over the phone (they simply had me text them pictures of the old one). A few other companies (you know who you are!) wanted to charge me at least $60 to come out to look and estimate. I'm spending thousands of dollars....no thanks on me having to pay to decline your estimate. Not only that, but I couldn't even get an appointment for 4-5 days out. I have a wife and small child at home, and carrying boiling water up the stairs for bath time was a bit dangerous, so I really needed service faster than that (and surprisingly, spending $2k had no priority with them). John the Plumber not only gave me a fair estimate, but they came out the next day to install. To make matters better, they sent 2 men to get the job done faster, and one of them was the company owner. Talk about hands-on service! They came first thing in the morning, and knocked it out in 2 hours. I'll be using these guys over big box plumbers from now on. read more

Helped a lot since I still had to go to work. The plumber discovered the issue have a quote and was done within an hour after replacing the garbage disposal. We just got a voicemail in our phone from John The Plumber Cynthia after waiting since last Wednesday to have them come by and give us a quote. Cynthia Was called on Wednesday to tell them they had not arrived she was going to call us back when she located them she never did. So now six days later she called and left a phone number to call. I left them a voicemail telling them don't bother to come by you've had your chance and we don't need you anymore. We have been using them since we moved into our home in Silver Lakes and back in the day 20 or so years ago they were a good company but now I would not recommend them to anyone for under any circumstances do not use them. They're responsible from answering my call, making appointments to the day they arrive for the job. Since I'm handy myself and been managing properties over the past 20 years, I know the pricing and what it takes to complete a leaky toilet bowl. They recommend replacing the whole system including the pipe which usually takes about 30 mins when the person knows how to do it right and the equipment would cost from $15-$50 depending on quality. I understand it doesn't make sense if the job it's too small to come out to fix but it is a bit steep for a toilet bowl equipment fix. They were going to charge me $250 but in my head that's a bit pricey, they agreed to bring it down to $190 after reasoning with the technician. After all, If I really want to save the money I would have try to fix it myself and avoid replacement, but it is a tenant's place, it was dirty and I don't want to spend more than 2 mins in there plus I can write it off at the end of the year, if I can get it fix under $200 will be ideal. I remember it is not fun to change out the dirty toilet bowl system and if someone knows what they're doing and can avoid the work with leas than $200, it is not bad. It took the tech 15 mins and it's all fix with a year warranty. I do appreciate the swift and solid fix. Will definitely hire again, just wish they would price more reasonable next time for other bigger issues. read more

My original review is accurate.... your staff sucks!! Beware, Beware!!! Called to have waste line unclogged. Plumber arrived and cleared the clogged line and confirmed, without any doubt or hesitation, I was connected to city main sewer. $400 well spent, I thought.... until the back up returned a month later. Same plumber returned to say I am now connected to a septic tank that was full. Quoted me $9,900 to connect to city sewer and decommission the septic. Never mentioned any credit from his first visit where he lied. Shocked, I called two other licensed plumbers.... both quoted $3,000 for complete job including permits and take out septic. Oh, had to spend another $500 to have septic cleaned to use until plumber's job is started. DOTRUST THESE GUYS!! read more

They called Friday morning and verified the appointment. I canceled an appointment that I had that could have been Benifical to me to be able to keep the Plumbing appointment. They waited until 1 on Friday afternoon to call and say they could not come because I live in a mobile home. Very disappointing customer service and I would never recommend them due to the negligent way they handled my appointment from the beginning.
