Tex is a rare find. When he came out to the house, he remembered coming out for the previous owners and even remembered what was wrong with the fireplace! He was communicative while trying to schedule, even though he was booked up and having health issues. Don't mistake his no non-sense approach as rudeness, Tex is a great guy who knows exactly what he is doing. Do not bother! Tex is RUDEST business owner I have worked with. I called to schedule an appointment over a month ago, and he said he would call me when he knew if and when he could "squeeze me in". THREE weeks later he called, left a message and TOLD me he would possibly be to me the next day. I let him know via text (He had texted me first, so I believed that was an accepatble form of communication with him) that I would not be home and that would not work for me. I did not hear back from him with alternate times. I just sent him another text asking to get on the schedule and he left me a voice mail saying, "I don't text" (weird, because he texted me first as mentioned above) anyway, I called him and asked when I could get on the schedule and he VERY RUDELY let me know he does not schedule ahead and would get back to me when he could get to my neighborhood. UMMMMMMMM..... NO THANK YOU! I have no desire to support anyone who can't respect me or my time. read more

It was a pleasure having Tex and his son Hunter design and build my Regency wood stove installation. I purchased a very nice used stove off Craigslist and have been waiting for the right time to install it. After hearing a few very good personal referrals to Tex I was convinced that he was the guy I wanted to work with. He and his son turned around a quote within a day and completed the chimney and stove pipe installation within a week. There are several tricky features about this installation that had me scratching my head, but Tex quickly figured it all out and built it in from start to finish, including refinishing and repainting the stove and stove pipe to match. TEX dismantled my fireplace after cleaning it because he did not like the way the installer had put it in.He left me without heat in the middle of a cold snap. stating that I should find an alternate source of heat. It turned out the fireplace did not really need to be dismantled. I would not recommend his services. He was also pretty unprofessional and caused more problems than he fixed. read more

Tex Anderson was by to sweep our wood stove flue, clean the screen, and replace some gaskets. We have a 1977 Vermont Castings. Anyway, the service was affordable and professional.
