My furnace quit responding 12/29...right between the Christmas and NY's holidays and right at the same time as everyone else's. I called 8 or 9 places, all of which said, 'sorry, it's a busy time and we can't help you', before I found Santa Cruz Mechanical. What a relief when their response was, 'we'll fit you in today'. It was 46 degrees in my house and I was cold. Their technician, Robert, came out that evening and evaluated the situation. It involved ordering parts (over the holiday weekend), but they took care of it and by the following Tuesday had the necessary parts available and Robert out that evening to do the work. He really went the extra mile to diagnose the problem correctly and troubleshoot every hiccup along the way. It's an older furnace and I didn't have the manual/schematics. Robert really took the time and interest to not only solve the problem, but take care of a few other annoying issues (thermostat defaulting to wrong temperature, fan blower coming on too soon) that I had never bothered to have fixed. My furnace stopped suddenly after a safety inspection by PGE. Bill Hall of Santa Cruz Mechanical was recommended by a friend after I had been told by Atlas Trillo of Santa Cruz (I believe referred by Bellows) that my furnace needed to be replaced at cost of about $8,600. Bill quickly sent Victor his tech out HVAC knowledge very thorough. He found it was a 35 cent fuse that was blown! He cleaned out the blower and replaced the filter. Voila! Works fine! We initially called them out to install an air conditioner last summer, did a great job, so helpful. My family has insanely bad allergies and they told us about this new indoor air thing they do so we gave it a shot. It's freaking awesome! They come in and do a test to see how bad the quality is of the air in your house, all of the bad stuff your breathing in. Then they install something to clean it out, six months later they did another test and it was insane! I would highly recommend this if you have kids that allergic to everything like mine are, pets dander, dust, etc. read more

They fixed my wall heater in my apartment. Every time I was called about maintenance on my heater, I spoke with a courteous representative who worked with my schedule.
