Contacted Paul for small gutter project. Referred me to Double V who I met with this morning and will be doing the job next Wednesday.

I had an absolutely outstanding experience with Golden State Solar and I would recommend them to…read morefriends and family without hesitation! When I first inquired, Tim (the owner) reached out and scheduled a consultation/evaluation of my existing system for the following day. He arrived on time, was professional and very knowledgeable. He sent me over a couple different proposals that he believed would be best for me and my usage. I reached out to competing companies to test the market and one company found out that I was on a different NEM standard than we previously thought. This discovery made me second guess getting solar for the time being. I reached out to Tim and he said that he estimated I would still need to upgrade but that I could give it a few months to see how my energy bills were in the winter and early spring. To say he was right was an understatement! My bills went from $60 to over $300 some months. Now that I knew that adding to my system was worth it and had more information, I reached back out to Tim. He didn't miss a beat in suggesting a system that maximized my output and didn't break the bank. (Mind you, he spent hours going back and forth with me answering questions and concerns I had) Ultimately, I chose to go with Tim because of his expertise (he was an electrician prior to starting Golden State Solar), professionalism, customer service and honesty. He never pushed me to make a decision and gave me multiple options that he believed were best. The permit and installation process were painless and completed within a couple months (mostly waiting for the permit). The system drastically increased my solar output and I couldn't be more happy with my choice to go with Golden State Solar!

Tim, Nick, and their team installed our new system within just a few days. My home initially had…read moreonly the bare minimum solar setup required for new builds, and Tim was able to seamlessly integrate the new panels with the existing ones, adding a battery in the process. Other companies I contacted said they couldn't work with my existing system, but Tim made it happen. The entire process, from consultation to installation was quick and straightforward. After installation, one panel showed as offline. The team promptly replaced the microinverter, but the system still wasn't performing optimally. They came back out and replaced the panel, ensuring everything was working as it should. Recently, I noticed an error with one of the microinverters on the app. I reached out to Tim, and he responded within a day to resolve the issue.

All of a sudden the panels at my mom's house stopped producing energy and I was in a pickle because…read morethe installer went bankrupt years ago. Because of the good experience I had with having Clean Solar install panels at my house I reached out to them to see if they would service panels installed by another, and thankfully they accepted the job. After some back and forth with their customer support, they remotely assessed that the inverter failed and they would install a new one for a reasonable price. Clean Solar employee Jose arrived early for the install and he was very polite and relatable. He replaced the inverter and did not leave until he made sure that the system was back up and running and production was being reported in the app. I recommend Clean Solar to anyone needing their panels serviced or to install a new system. Jose is an excellent employee and my mom had a great experience working with him.

We needed to add panels because we purchase an EV and needed more solar to offset PG&E. The impeccable experience started with Art the consultant, he gave 4 scenarios and explained in detail what each means and provided detail report including all the tech details and break even timing. To be honest, it was too much for me, I really just wanted pricing and how long it takes to install haha but was good to know he has such knowledge and I was confident he is looking out for my best interest. Then we had Patrick the PM, arrived for site inspection on time and courteous and explained the whole process. Then come the impressive installation team Luis, Alberto and Kevin. The 3 arrived on time and with smiles, just overall a great vibe from them. Luis walked me through the installation plan and gave a few choices taking into consideration aesthetics of the house and then got to work. 4 hours later, clean line, fine craftsmanship and symmetrical matching placement from last system is in place and ready to tangle with PG&E (attaching some photos) I really really can't recommend any higher to go with Clean Solar on your solar projects. Seamless is what you'll experience with them. Until next time Clean Solar!

I have been working with Sarah on a removal and replacement of my 28 solar panels. We scheduled it…read more2 months ago. The team started the removal on Tuesday but had to leave after 3 panels die to very high winds. I have a 2nd story steep slope roof so is was not safe for the crew. Sarah was very professional rescheduled a crew for Wednesday. Of course it was pouring when they arrived but the wind was not a factor. They removed the 28 panels but had to leave the roof mounts in. If removed I would have leaks all over my 2nd story of my house. Daddario roofing is scheduled for Monday to remove the roof and again Sarah came through. Sarah had a team out Friday morning to remove the roof mounts and we are good to go. Sarah did a amazing job of rescheduling 2 different crews that I am sure were already scheduled to get my job on time. Great work by all!

I recently completed a solar system installation with 18 panels and 2 batteries. Our original goal…read more(as we communicated to the company multiple times) was to fully disconnect from PG&E and rely on our backup generator for power during lengthy poor weather time periods. The initial installation went smoothly, but everything since then has been disappointing & frustrating. The county permitting process was delayed by nearly 8 weeks because the solar installation was not up to code. When they sent out a team to fix the problem, they ordered the wrong insufficient materials because they somehow didn't know the size of the array that they had installed weeks earlier. It eventually passed the county permitting inspection. Then there were problems with functionality during a power outage. During the sales process we voiced multiple concerns around having sufficient battery capacity to sustain multiple days of poor weather. We spent a lot of time & money to have our generator permitted based on this conversation. We were told that our standby generator could be used to recharge the batteries. When a lengthy PG&E outage coupled with bad weather in early January caused our batteries to drain to zero, with no generator charging, I contacted their service department email yet it took them 15 days to respond. They told me that the batteries can never be recharged with the generator and insisted that the prior conversations never occurred. We never would have spent $$$$ on generator permitting if we were told that it was impossible to charge the batteries via the generator. Overall, a very disappointing and experience. While the solar array works fine during good weather, that's not the primary reason why we installed the system. Poor service, dishonesty and incompetence are unaccetpable. I can't recommend working with a company that behaves in this fashion.

The consultation with Grant was quite expert: he assessed that our house in a forest would get plenty of sun, and he was right. He also suggested we try a single battery before spending for two. He was right about that. Jonathan (and his electrician skills) was a known quantity to us, and he performed perfectly on our installation. The system served us well for nearly a year. Then the 3-day outage over Christmas proved the wizardry of the Tesla StormWatch system, - we never stumbled around in the dark of shuddered in the cold like many of our neighbors with no system. Carmel is infamous for frequent outages, ranging from 10 minutes to 3 days and more. This system eliminates the anxiety and discomfort of living with that. When I had a question today about Tesla Settings, Jonathan took my first call. And his routing us to the patient and intrepid Melody at GFSE HQ sorted it all out. That was two professionals who answered the phone on the first call, late on a Friday afternoon on New Years weekend. When was the last time you had that experience? There are many vendors in the solar/battery space. They may all be OK, but I wouldn't bet on it. The delta in cost from other bidders is trivial. I am certain that BFSE is run with top talent and integrity.

On one occasion Bright Future contacted us to tell us something was wrong with our battery. Bright Future found that the battery was failing. They replaced the battery without charging us a penny. Several times we had electrical issues from PGE surges and other electrical issues. In every case Bright Future came to the rescue. The staff of Bright Future, from the office staff routing calls to the owner always try to be helpful before they say no to a request. And they have never said no to a request. Bright Future provides the best customer service with extraordinary expertise I have ever seen. I can not recommend them any more highly. The best.
