I have a high-end slate roof in Carmel and needed someone to investigate and replace cracked slate tiles, while taking care not to do additional damage. Cesar came out and did the estimate - he was great to work with re price and coordinate timing. 2 guys completed the work couple of weeks later. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. In total 36 broken slates replaced in one full day. Feel good that my roof is back to 100%. Happy to use these guys again and recommend. Spent over 90 min troubleshooting and told me some info that the Co who installed my system was totally incorrect & there's a potential fire hazard . Premo Roofing robbed my $5000 for repairing my roof. They did not tell me there is no warranty, they did not provide any contract to me. Premo is working for my property manager. After repaired, the roof still leaking, then Premo refused to refund any partial money said the job has no warrenty. They even tell me to replace entire roof which not even necessary. It was recently discovered that there was a flashing problem at a house I owned in Monterey. It was very important with all the rains to get that situation turned around as soon as possible. Premo came to me recommended by a friend. I called them and they were extremely responsive and prompt. They showed at the house and the agreed time and efficiently replaced the chimney saddle and thankfully called my attention to a couple of other problems they noted while up on the roof. Start to finish a smooth transaction. Jeremy the estimator was thorough and responsive. They pulled the permits and did all the back end work. He brought by samples of different colored shingle sets. The crew started on a Tuesday and ended the following Monday. It was a full shake roof tear off converted to comp shingles. We had skip sheathing without a plywood deck. We knew that going in, but it was impressive to watch how they tackled it. The front of the old roofline didn't match up with the back. They improvised and ripped 2x4's to make it transition smooth (pic attached). This was unforeseen, but they handled it well. After tear off, they found some rot areas and addressed them. The crew cleaned up daily at the end of the shift and left the area cleaner than when they came. They were clearly experienced and knew their way around my situation. The foreman was easy to talk to and walked me through the work daily. They tarped the roof thoroughly for the first few days after the tear-off while the attic was exposed. We have tons of squirrels, rats, and raccoons in the area, so I was appreciative of that. I had 4 quotes in total. Premo was in the middle of the pack in terms of pricing. The contract price and end price were very close. Hopefully, I won't need another roof for 40 years, but I'd use Premo again. Thanks! read more
