This company has broken our screens two years in a row and has harassed us over payment of repair. I would steer clear of of clear view.

They have cleaned my roof and gutters many times. They are on time, polite and professional and follow instructions. They always clean up leaving everything clean and tidy. I was so disappointed in Clearview Window's today. I decided to splurge this year and have the inside and the outside of my windows cleaned. I had an appointment for noon so I spent a couple hours pulling all the furniture away from the windows and washing off all the windowsills. I have used them several times in the past and they have always been on time. But, this time when they didn't show up I called, I was worried I had the day wrong because they always have showed up on time in the past. She did say I was on the schedule. At 1:30, Which was an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment,I called again and they said they would check with the guys and get back to me. At 2 o'clock I called and canceled and started washing my own windows. The reason I gave them two stars and not just one is because they have done a good job in the past. We are selling our home and moving to a condo. Our present home is three stories high on a very sloping lot. It has an extremely high cathedral ceiling encorperating the second and third stories. The windows and skylights (5) needed to be washed, inside and out. Primi and Rufino (sp? from the invoice) arrived and proceeded to efficiently and cheerfully do the almost impossible, in my view, with their magical extendable ladders and their non fear of heights and their skill with the squeegie. Don't bother with these guys if you value your time. We have a vacation home outside of Santa Cruz with windows desperately in need of cleaning. They made commitments to come out and give an estimate which they did not keep. They said they would do the windows within the several day time frame I requested, but that was not true either. After several days of emails making commitments they broke, and phone calls they did not return, they just blew me off. The crew look professional and worked very fast. Their office manager responds emails very fast. Their price is competitive. HOWEVER, the crew did not do a good job cleaning the screens. After they are done, my mom wiped the screen with a damn paper towel and it turned black. She showed it to the crew and the crew seemed quite annoyed. They reluctantly cleaned the two screens that my mom pointed out again. We had a busy day that day so I did not check the other screens. Later we did the same paper towel test and many screens appear as if they are not cleaned. Emailed office manager and she sent another crew back the same week to clean the dirty screens. They did a good job but would be better if they can tell me that they broke one of the screens (I don't blame them, the window is quite old). I spent quite a while getting the ladder and tools out to fix the screen. Also if you have plants near the window be sure to tell them. I have a small succulent in the ground. I put a flower pot near it to prevent people from stepping on it. But the crew moved the flower pot and stepped on the succulent :( I personally would not hire them again. But if you don't care about screens they do a good job. read more

Bret may have been in business for 20 years but doesn't change that he lied to us and didn't do what he said he did because the thinks a customer is not going to get on a 18ft roof line to check his work. Also the mere fact that you Sara keep calling me and calling me to remove the honest review makes me believe your previous reviews are fake reviews by people you know or had make for you in a positive light. You where completely unprofessional by calling a customer "I have your phone calls recorded by the way" and can share them with yelp of if you continue to pretend like everything was just a slip up and no big deal. 4 hours late to do a job that was booked 2 weeks in advance and so a nonexistent job in 20 minutes wish leaf blower yet seeing a 4 inches of pigeon droppings clogging up a gutter is not what people pay for. Then to have Bret come out and avoid eye contact and avoid questions if the job was done right then leave after 5 min is insulting. He just didn't think I climb 18 ft on that difficult roof to see his work or not. Then for you to repeatedly beg for us to remove the review completely on yelp just because you refunded our money for the incomplete job. It's insulting and was harassment by you and your company. What kind of company issues the refund check by the employee being you? So unprofessional..... it makes me believe you have done this before with other people who wrote reviews about your company and that the positive reviews here are most likely fakes or friends or paid companies to write those reviews... people reviews can be written by anyone. My review of clear view is backed up with photos and voice recordings of the company and what they did. These people wasted my day and countless phone calls of my time. Don't waste your time. Got one of their postcards in the mail and thought I'd give them a try. Seemed nice enough when they gave an estimate, however . . . . . I was surprised by the behavior and attitudes of the actual workers, especially if you politely point out something they missed. It appears they were in a hurry to "get it over with". I agree with Lisa K., they do ignore simple requests, like to not go into a girl's room - which they did anyway! That's really creepy. The workers left behind obvious large streaks on several windows (zero attention to detail). I won't let them near my house again. Based on the previous 5 star reviews, I'm guessing something recently has changed within the company. I found out that one of my neighbors had their gutters cleaned out by this company, only to discover (after they left) that dirt and leaves were all over their car AND the side of the house. For how expensive Clear View is, the level of professionalism should match the cost. Hopefully they turn things around before it's too late. read more

Great service by Bradley yesterday. He and partner cleaned the gutters and washed the exterior of all windows on our 2.5 story townhouse in under 1 hour. (The estimated time we got over the phone was 2 hrs.) When it turned out that two high skylight windows were dusty from the inside, Bradley washed them for no extra charge. These windows were situated in a very difficult spot, with no wall to lean the ladder against, and hanging over the height of two stories under the ridge of a cathedral roof. Bradley propped his ladder against the top beam and bravely wielded the squeege hanging in the middle of the air, as it were, all the while. All the windows and window screens got excellent cleaning, and after the work was finished, no trace was left outside of all the debris that came down from the roof. The only complaint, they showed up about two hours ahead of schedule. I was in the middle of a work project and haven't started yet removing things from decks and balcony when they arrived. Not to worry, it turned out: in the end, they left the decks cleaner than they were before. We've used Clear View several times before, with good results most of the time. But this time beats all previous services. Next time I'm using the company, I'll be sure to ask for Bradley. read more
