I had a colonoscopy last week by Dr. Kasher and could not be any happier with the whole process. At the initial consultation, I was very nervous about my symptoms but he took his time to explain all the possibilities and the necessary tests. He described the different preps for the night before and what to expect the day of the procedure. While the prep wasn't a walk in the park, the colonscopy itself was seamless. I was given the perfect amount of sedation to not remember or feel anything and woke up to good news from Dr. Kasher saying everything was normal. He even called me the next day to check on me, and a few days after to report some more good news about the biopsy results. Overall, I've definitely found my GI doctor and have already encouraged my family and friends to get their colonsocopy screenings with him. I had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy done with Dr. John Kasher. First of all the surgery center was very clean and the nurses were amazing. Dr. Kasher's bedside manner is amazing, he's very thorough and his truly compassionate. He spent a lot of time with me at the consultation and explained to me every step. He also explained to me everything to do prior to the procedure, and after procedure. The most important part of his character is the fact that he is very detail oriented , and he explains everything in detail and he wants to make sure you completely understand everything. Overall, he is a very compassionate doctor and I highly recommend him. I Would recommended him to my friends. I will absolutely go back for colonoscopy and endoscopy. I hope the doctor is better than his office. Should have had my first appointment here this morning, but was told at the office the doctor was running 60-90 minutes late. So why didn't I get a phone call? Because unprofessionalism and disrespect. There's no excuse, especially when you're running more than an hour late, to not inform the people who are going to be impacted by that. It's disrespectful, full stop. Dr. Kasher is a true professional and a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor. I had a lot of anxiety about my procedure and sadly kept postponing it for several years. I could truly say that Dr. Kasher made the procedure painless and very comfortable. I was surprised how my anxiety was over blown, and how simple the entire process was. His entire team was too notch as well. The only difficult part of the whole procedure was the liquid prep which Dr. Kasher has no control over. I have always liked Dr. Kasher as he would take the time to answer my questions and concerns throughout all of the years I have met with him. Recently, a new development came up in my health and I agreed to meet with his nurse practitioner, Kristina Neagos, instead because I could get in to see her sooner. Now I know why! Meeting with her was a complete waste of time. Not only was she rude and did not give me the courtesy to listen to my concerns, she went ahead and pointed out other things that had nothing to do with the G.I system. It felt extremely inappropriate. To make matters worse, she had a "medical student" shadowing her which makes no sense to me since she is not a doctor. Unfortunately, I believe her behavior and lack of bedside manner is a reflection on the office and that is why I am writing my review here. Having a bit of anxiety, the staff guided me on everything from how to prep for the procedure to what to expect the day of procedure. This time I'm writing to say that his staff at Genesis Healthcare Partners in Burbank are equally excellent. They made sure that I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Kasher relatively soon to discuss my test results. When I did come in to discuss those results with Dr. Kasher, he answered every single question that I had and then some, and he'd already extensively anticipated how to instruct me with regard to future monitoring of my condition. Dr Kasher is a very well mannered, knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring doctor. When we met in his office really he spent the time to explain the upcoming procedure to me in great detail. As a result I felt very comfortable and not rushed like I've felt in the past at previous doctor's offices. His office staff was also very friendly which was refreshing. Somehow it seemed that he and his staff really cared, and that I wasn't just another patient. On the day of the procedure, I was naturally feeling a little uneasy. But again, Dr Kasher (and the staff at the Alameda Surgery Center) were very professional, friendly, and comforting. The facility was clean, well staffed, and overall a relaxing environment. The procedure was quick, efficient, and seamless. A few days later, I was surprised to get a call from Dr Kasher. He was kind enough to follow up to see how I was doing. This was quite impressive. I have never made a recommendation for any doctors. For the first time, I feel quite content in recommending Dr John Kasher. You should take comfort in knowing that he truly cares about his patients. This place has by far the most unprofessional getto staff I've ever encountered. A woman Named Heather who wouldn't let me get a word is. Told me "I'm making sure no ones trying to screw you" she said this to me after i asked if she even knew what I was calling about before cutting me off . After I called her out for saying such a thing. she just puts me on hold. Then a woman named Ana picks up. Who's not any better at her job then Heather. I ask her what's the woman's name that I just spoke too. She says hold on and puts me on hold. As to find out if she should tell me her name. Comes back and tells me Her name was Heather. Who knows if this is really her name. I tell Ana I called at 9am regarding my test results for a procedure done 3 weeks ago. I was told that they would call me back to find out what's happening because it should only take 7 to 10 days. I followed up at 2pm and now Ana states that she never spoke to me. And she states that she was the only one taking calls that morning. This the type of staff this place has? So I told her. That I have a outgoing call to this exact number and durations 7 min. So I'm lying? She starts to go into how rude I'm being and just puts me on hold. I have to hang up call back and she picks up just puts me on hold. Comes back says sorry I can't find the manager. I never had an issue trying to speak to someone with some type of professionalism in a doctors office before. Somehow I can't reach a nurse, doctor or a manager to give me an update on what happened with a test that was done 3 weeks ago. The doctors amazing but the staff couldn't be any less qualified to work with patience. I've had better customer service at mc Donald's. Heather is particular has 0 class Saying "screw you" to a patient. read more

Had a procedure scheduled and had some questions. They never answered any questions. Stay away from this totally unprofessional and rude staff. They are total ghetto and won't answer your questions or call you back. All they do is ask you for your date of birth and lie to you when they tell you someone will get back with you shortly. They also won't give you their names or use fake names because they can hide when they talk down to you. The management here is weak and obviously doesn't know how to train their employees. I spoke with Dr Kasher later and he didn't care about how rude his staff was to me. He blew it off like it was nothing. He's ok with it. read more

I went here about a year ago for some nausea and stomach pain. They wanted to schedule me an endoscopy and only had two options for facilities; both were out of network but the receptionist assured me they would be billed as in network. I asked several people about this including my insurance who replied 'yeah that's not a thing.' So I ended up cancelling the appointment because they refused to perform it at an in network facility, and now I have to double check other gastro as in the future to make sure their facilities are in network. I saw Dr. Kasher for the first time this week regarding some symptoms I've been having. He was extremely professional and kind. He took a thorough log of everything I said and ordered the necessary tests to find a solution. He has an excellent bedside manner and is very knowledgeable. It is rare in this area to find a doctor who sees you as more than just a number. The office opens fairly early and I was the first person in.
