Enrique Ramirez did an amazing job patching multiple holes in our wall. His work was clean, professional, and the finished result looks flawless--you honestly can't even tell there were holes there before. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship. He left the area he worked in very clean. Excellent quality work. We qualified for a free ac. Central unit and heat pump through energy assistance program. It to almost 6 months to get them to come out. It suppose to be energy racing, why is my edison bill high. Still have not passed inspection. When they installed the central unit in the house they claim, the door came off of its hinges. And put a hole in my wall, they did not fix that nor fix the door so it does not close. The heat pump runs all the time.Hence my edison bill is high. They said it's supposed to be out a 120°. Cool. You go shower at a hundred and twenty degrees in the back bathroom.Because it's like taking an ice bath. Not happy with the service, not happy with t. Response time and to date we still have not passed inspection. ​ In my eyes, you wanna make it right. You take out this monstrous heat pump that does not work properly in my eyes. And you put back in my hot water heater that runs on gas.And then your company needs to be here when inspection.Actually occurs I don't recommend this company at all. Ohh, and then they were supposed to come back out and fix something from the last inspection I was told by their crew that their crew was on site.And what do they d? They sent the electrical company out instead of their crew who was supposedly right around the corner. read more

I just completed my complaint against John Harrison Inc to the BBB. Here is a copy, for everybody to read how John Harrison is defrauding innocent Californian customers in a SCAM/FRAUD scheme, masterminded together with the S.C.E: COPY OF MY BBB COMPLAINT: On this BBB site, there are complaints very similar to mine, indicating that John Harrison is using the same scam techniques repeatedly. The complainant who was scammed about free appliances via SCE's Energy Efficiency Program, was scammed by John Harrisan Inc, and never received the appliance(s) he should have. SCE is a part of this scam. Funds are given to SCE / John Harrison Inc. by the government to provide qualifying customers with free appliances, but never receive them. Therefore, the funds are practically stolen from them by John Harrison Inc / SCE. Here is what John Harrison Inc / SCE have done to me: (multiple complaints, investigations, actions, underway) - SCE qualified me for a free energy efficient refrigerator - SCE referred me to John Harrison Inc. - John Harrison Inc never picks up the phone, never responds to a message sent to them on his website, never responds to any emails. Their web site has a scam structure. - A female person left a message on my answering machine with an invalid phone number, stating she was calling about "the appliance". The phone number she gave: 7606680863. Nobody ever picks up, just as with John Harrison. Further, now a message comes on "this voice box is full. good by". John Harrison, in his pseudo-responses on the BBB complaint site, alleged he tried to call the contact customers, but customers did not call him back. Nonsense. John Harrison set up an entire SCAM SYSTEM to avoid communication with customers. - This translates into a MEGA-Fraud, involving SCE and John Harrison in a joint scam-scheme. SCE and John Harrison make millions by holding government funds in their own pockets by keeping customers without the appliance they qualify for. MULTIPLE INVESTIGATIONS UNDERWAY. REPORT YOUR CASE TO THE BBB, FTC, ATTORNEY GENERAL, AND THE FBI. I paid almost $10,000 to have an HVAC system put in by this company and 2 years later it has a Freon leak. Called and called again and John Harrison Contracting finally responded when I made a complaint to the California State License Board. When they fixed the leak it was temporary and I ended up closing my case with the CSLB without the leak fully being fixed. Now that my case is closed I just get brushed off by them and they refuse to come out and fix my air conditioning system. I do not recommend this company to anyone! read more

No WONDER they're NOT BBB-approved! My senior mom qualified for free evaporative cooler summerization & a free heat pump water heater replacement upgrade through SCE. Being proactive, we called John Harrison in MARCH of 2024, requesting to have our ROOFTOP EVAPORATIVE COOLER prepped for the summer. We were told to call back on JUNE 24th, which we did. On 6/24 we were told that they were booked several weeks out (which was why we had been proactive in the first place, trying to make an appointment BEFORE THEY BECAME BOOKED, because we had a heatwave at the beginning of June, and thanks to their unprofessionalism, my 81-year-old mom and her dogs had to suffer through 115+ temps without use of her ROOFTOP swamp cooler). When someone FINALLY came out, (Kevin, a "supervisor") he told us that he COULD NOT SERVICE OUR ROOFTOP EC because "they don't DO rooftop EC's." We stated that it was a ROOFTOP EV with EVERY call to them, yet they never said "they couldn't do rooftop ECs" over the phone. Kevin then stated that they COULD measure for the free water heater replacement, which he DID. I walked with him to the heater and watched him measure everything he needed. He TOLD US HE HAD ALL THE MEASUREMENTS HE NEEDED to set an appointment for installing the replacement h20 heater, and said he would get to work on securing the necessary permits to do the work. It is now mid-August. We paid another contractor to set up the EV for summer after JHC refused to do it, & are STILL WAITING to get a date to install the new water heater. We have heard nothing but excuses and blatant LIES stating they now "need the size of the water heater at my house." He had physically come to the house and MEASURED the size of our current H2O heater. I am appalled that this extremely unprofessional company is being given grant funding through the State of CA and/or through SCE, because they do NOT communicate with their customers, & are INCREDIBLY unprofessional, & NOT MEN OF THEIR WORD. read more

Be careful on the freeway when a JHC Truck is Tailgating in the "FAST LANE" of the I-210 Freeway S.B. (only a 2-lane Freeway) in Highland CA at the 5th St On Ramp this JHC Truck passes me on the Slow or Right lane and with traffic braking in the right lane I had about 2-car lengths of room between me and the car in front of me... Total scam artist company, doing inspections for SCE for elderly and disabled. Lied about no seniors in our house {we are 68 & 76 with severe disabilities} stopping us from getting help we needed. Lied about inspecting anything at all said heater and water heater were in good working condition....we haven't had heat or hot water in our house for over a year!! There's more, just suffice it to say that this company is ripping off seniors and disable peep who can't afford the replacements we need. Steer clear if you don't want to get ripped off! read more

John Harrison Contracting doesn't stand behind their work! They installed a new air conditioner at my home on 8/16/2016. A few months ago, the coils went bad because they were improperly installed resulting in the insulation on the coil cabinet to come off blocking airflow and their technicians failed to seal up the fau opening causing the air to bypass coil completely about 3" x 20" on the right side of the coil unit. All of which resulted in the extreme oxidation on the coil unit and oil spots where the leaks occurred, again, due to the improper installation. Also due to the improper installation, my sister and I were breathing in Freon. All this informed to me by the owner of Paul's Air Conditioning & Heating Company I hired to rectify the failings of JHC. The life expectancy of evaporator coils is generally 15 to 20 years and not three. My sister is a 100 percent disable 20-year Army Veteran with many serious physical health problems (all of which JHC is aware) that I look after and we are on a very limited income. I asked JHC to reimburse me for the $800.00 in repair cost. The Chief Operating Officer, Monica Marroquin, finally sent me a check for $400.00 as "a one-time courtesy" hoping I would drop it. Even though the half payment clearly admits fault on their part and she apologized (which also admits fault) for the innocence. I initially talked with a supervisor, Peter Norieg, at JHC who told me he would try to get them to pay for all the repairs, leading me to believe he agreed that JHC was in the fault. I've sent Ms. Marroquin another letter asking for the remainder. She refuses to talk with me on the phone and now Mr. Norieg has changed is tune to the point of being rude and disrespectful. I guess I will see if they have any conscience and any respect for my sister after putting her in damager due to the improver installation when they receive my second letter. I took pictures of the improper installation before the new company did the repairs, plus I have an email from the owner of the company that did the repairs stating that the coils failed due to JHC not installing them correctly along with a list of what was done wrong.I would give JHC zero stars, but you have to a least select one in order for my review to post. read more

I had previously written a review a couple of years ago about JHC and it was not pretty. However, seems like a lot of staff got released of their duties, which I can say that was a smart move. I know of Juan and Jamie both are professional and nice individuals. Jamie has been out several times to my home to get the job done right. Juan makes sure my calls are forwarded to the correct person and has excellent customer service skills. I'm now almost done with this project (I know it must not be easy for JHC staff as well), but I must say JHC seems to be a totally different company as of now.
