I had the worst experience here with Jamar and his manager who seemed to not care. I bought a 2019 Acura RDX Aspec although I don't regret the purchase because I love my car, I do regret coming to this location. I should of gone to the sugar land location. AVOID JAMAR. He will tell you everything you want to hear except the truth. And when everything is finalized it's to late. Make sure you get everything in writing or record it!! If you are a female STAY AWAY FROM WILLIAM CARTWRIGHT!!!! This man is disgusting to say the least. He was inappropriate and disrespectful. He started off fairly nice but things quickly started to go downhill when he felt the need to tell me that him and his wife had not had sex in several days and asked me why do women do that. I ignored him and continue to talk about the car I was interested in. He was such a snake oil salesman / con artist he had me utterly confused because he was telling me blatant lies. He flat out told me that no dealership would do 0% APR on a 2017 even though my credit score was 700 +. He kept insulting me and saying I know you're not that good at math but it's simple numbers. He then proceeded to insult my Pandora bracelet by giving me some retarded analogy about charmes starting off at $5 and go all the way up to 5000!! $5????? nothing in Pandora cost $5. I could not make this stuff up if I wanted to. On the test drive he decides he wants to play Street Military?? Wtf ?? why would a 39 year old , professional, African American woman be comfortable listening to that type of vulgar hardcore rap music on a test drive with a complete stranger? Smdh he then tells me that I was the first black person that had been in the dealership in 2 weeks. Even if we had been in a Bentley dealership I would have found that very hard to believe. He also told me that he's not used to dealing with certain kinds of people because the kind of people that come to him have already financed through their credit union. I could go on and on but I wont.The only good thing I can say about this experience was that when I called back to talk to the manager Jamarr Carswell, he was very apologetic and sympathetic about what had happened and even stated that he noticed that something was wrong when he came over to talk to me while I was in the dealership. This is the 2nd time giving this place a chance. Its unfortunate. I recently purchased an Acura elsewhere. The first issue occurred on 02/16/19. I have tried on 2 occasions to get an oil change with no success. First time I called in to see if its better to schedule an appointment or just come in for an oil change. I was told I can just come in. I went in on the 02/16/19 right before 8 am. When 8 am came, I was told since I did not have an appointment, the wait is close to 3 hours. I left. I rescheduled for 02/19/19 and set up an appointment time. Came in and was told it would be about 2 hours even with an appointment for an oil change. I asked why. I was told the appointments are there so the techs don't have any overlap with customers. This makes no sense. This is the first dealership I have experienced this with. I had to go to to another dealership and was in and out little over 30 minutes. John Eagle Acura needs to work on how they schedule everything, even small things like an oil change which should not have customers having to wait up to 3 hours even with an appointment. The 2nd issue is recent. I called in on 04/01/19 early in the morning and spoke with a lady in the service department about scheduling my vehicle for a recall service and seeing how long it would take. I left my name, and number, which they already also had in system and was told an advisor would contact me who would have more information on how long it would take and to schedule the appointment. It is now 04/24/19 and still no call. This is ridiculous. I tried to give this place a 2nd chance and they continue to let me down. Luckily I had my vehicle serviced at Sterling Acura over the weekend. Was in and out in little over 1 hour which included car wash. This is an issue that needs to be looked into with customer service answering phones and service advisors. I even contacted the service manager and have gotten no response. Let me start by saying that I have been singing John Eagle Acura's praises for years! I owned an MDX several years ago and had the best experience with this dealership. When it came time to buy a new (used) car I was over the moon happy to find one here at John Eagle that I liked. There were other vehicles closer to home that I was interested in, but since they were at smaller "mom & pop" type dealerships I decided to make the drive out to John Eagle, and purchase the MDX there. The day I test drove the vehicle I noticed a crack in the windshield, the star kind. I asked my salesperson "Yaya" if that's something they would take care of if I purchased the vehicle and she said yes of course....she went so far as to say that they would do a full detail before I took the vehicle, and make a service appointment for me to come back and get the windshield taken care of and some of the scratches buffed out. I was slightly annoyed when I texted Yaya later about setting that up, and she informed me that they would not do it after all. That's not what ruined John Eagle Acura for me though. It has been 10 days since I bought my MDX. The vehicle completely stalled out on me last night. I took the battery to the auto parts store to have it tested and it was fine. They charged it up and I took it home and put it in the MDX, drove it to the auto parts store and had them test the alternator. FAILED. MY VEHICLE THAT I'VE HAD FOR 10 DAYS NEEDS A NEW ALTERNATOR :(:( Of course I called John Eagle right away, hoping that they would be able to take care of it, considering again I've only had it for 10 days. The used car sales manager that I spoke to, TJ I believe, informed me that there is nothing they could (WOULD) do. I'm out of luck. Here I am, 5 months pregnant, in the heat of Houston summer, with no vehicle. I really expected more from this dealership. I understand that I purchased a used vehicle, but I also made a conscious choice to purchase the vehicle from what I thought was a respectable dealership. Lesson learned. Next time I may go to that mom & pop shop, where PEOPLE still matter. Edited to add: If the used cars that you sell have SO MANY issues that it would put you out of business that says a lot. I want to let you all know how UNSATISFIED I am with the service and broken business agreement caused by John Eagle Acura and their staff, Dasmine Vilella. Last week, 1/12,2017, I wanted to help my sister on finding a vehicle. She took a bus from Austin to Houston on 1/14/2017 thinking that she will purchase a vehicle that day. Her time is limited and I wanted to help her find one here in Houston. I spoke to Dasmine Vilella inquiring two 2017 Certified Used RDXs (STOCK #: LL002296 or STOCK #: LL002315). Instead of wasting my time and John Eagle Acura's time, we offered a 7K down payment and we already got approval from the bank to purchase the vehicle. I offer 35K DRIVE OUT and both party agreed to it. Dasmine Vilella assured me that she spoke to her manager and that everything is in order for us to make the deal for Saturday, 1/14,2017. I emailed, Dasmine Vilella, to confirm this deal. I also forwarded this email to Avery Barksdale. My sister took a bus into town early Saturday with the down payment ready to purchase. To her surprise, John Eagle Acura didn't honor the deal. You can imagine how infuriated this made her. I was too angry, that I drove down from the Woodlands to see if I can chat with Dasmine. She never came out. So I met with Avery Barksdale. We chatted for over about an hour and the 35K drive out price was not honored. Avery Barksdale, told me he was put in the middle of all this and there was not much he could do other than trying to offer me to buy a new car and another vehicle that didn't include the technology package and year I wanted. Avery said that Dasmine Vilella and Acura made a mistake and should not have made that deal. Avery said it was a miscommunication. Even though I spoke to Dasmine Vilella as clear as day about the 35K drive out and put it in an email, I don't know how this is miscommunicated. I want John Eagle Acura to know that I will put this dealership on blast via social media, YELP, Google Review and word of mouth through my connections. You can understand that a lot of the Asian community loves Hondas and Acuras. I will tell all my Asian friends, family, and colleague to not do business with this SHADY dealership. Joh Eagle Acura used to provide consistent, great service for those waiting on car check-ups. They would ensure clients were comfortable in the waiting room by providing complimentary drinks, checking up on you every 15 minutes or so, and offering a ride if you needed to be somewhere else. The once 5-star service has drastically changed since I have last been there. For example, I booked an appointment two weeks in advance for a simple oil change; I waited nearly two hours for my service because walk-ins backed them up. I assume at any normal business those with appointments would be prioritized, which John Eagle did not follow. On top of that, the technicians and front-service men were rude, and I detected a little condescension since I didn't look like their normal, middle-upper class customer population that day (long hours at a hospital/medical school does that to you). Overall, I was disappointed on the less than stellar service and how I was treated. read more

I'd definitely give this location 0 stars if I could! Very disappointed with them and dissatisfied! First we went on a Friday 05/31/19 to look at an Acura (used) that we had seen on like for 7k . We spoke with Yaya and they stated they were going to begin the process of approval with the bank for that vehicle. We waited more than 3 hours to be informed that the bank did not want to loan the vehicle due to the year. They then offered a Lexus (used) from their inventory and we declined. The following day Saturday 06/01/19 we received a call from Masha stating that they had a vehicle for us that was already approved and we could come in and look at it . She stated it was the Lexus and we decided to go in and look at it since we were "already approved" . Once we entered they stated they needed proof of income etc. We provided that information and they still needed more proof from myself since I recently began a new job. I told them repeatedly that I was not able to get the letter they wanted me to give them since my office is closed. They then stated that they would run it under my spouse only. Leon and Yaya then came and said that they weren't able to contact the bank and that they aren't responding to Put it only under my spouses name. They kept coming back asking for the letter and I told them once more the office is closed and I cannot get that letter and if they had told me on Friday I would've been able to provide it. They then stated that without the letter they wouldn't be able to release the car and that everything was done and they only needed the letter. We then left and I contacted my boss who then sent me the letter that Leon kept asking for. Once it was sent to them they stated they would fax it to the bank . Yaya has been in contact with my spouse via text and stated that they have been so busy since it is Saturday and do not have the time to finalize our deal since the manager has been running around but that we should give the down payment and the deal can be finalized Monday which is when we can take the car home. She stated they needed more time because now the bank is closed . We've been in and out of that location for the past two days the least they could've done is make time for us since we've been able to provide everything they've asked for . Mind you they haven't even sat down with us to let us know what our monthly payments will be or what the total cost of the car is. I do not recommend anyone going to this location . They seem to not care about people. I'm very frustrated and angered by the long wait and delays. We definitely won't be going back to that location. How they have no time to attend to us is crazy to me . Don't waste your money here! read more

Buyer beware at the closing table. They will insist on getting an extended warranty and a special warranty at inflated prices. Hold your ground or wait until they come down if you do want. Good luck to you if you don't want! Make sure they explain fully the amount, the miles and term of policy. They will rush through it and not tell you the price only sell you a payment. Also, other add on product/warranties show up without you saying yes and you will get them anyway. Then they will hide those fees in the cash sales price. They make you think that it is "included" in the price when it Is really "added on". Note: The special warranty will replace your tires or wheels if damaged but it costs over $1500. I can by my own tires if something happens. I don't think getting this is worth it. On the contract, they conveniently do not disclose those fees nor go over the contract figures with you. Just basically sign here, sign here as fast as they can manage. We got to the sales contract and said Sign here at the bottom in 3 places without going over the figures! I said wait a minute, what is this Cash price, which was over what we agreed by about 3,000. The finance director stated that that included both warranties (I really didn't want the special warranty, but wore me down and said he would raise my rate so I ended up with it, trying to get through closing after an hour and half of haggling) The cash price was more for about the cost of the two warranties, but then I said why is the extended warranty listed below in the other items? He then lied again and said that figure didn't add in and I wasn't getting charged twice. With no calculator and nothing else to go by I agreed to sign. However the next day I looked and saw that that figure itemized for the extended warranty did add into the amount financed and I ended up going back to dealership and spoke with Jamarr the sales manager. He gave me a copy of the "Vehicle Buyer's Order". So partially correct, the special warranty (which I ended up cancelling) was in that price. However, so were 3 warranty type add ons that I thought were "included" in price not "added" to the price. Side note to add ons: The "Nitrogen" road hazard is only good if you bring your car to fill the tires with nitrogen at "their dealership" every time, which they fail to tell you (if you live far like I do, this is worthless!) Then they will charge you $285. For a key replacement insurance. Probably only would cost you $125 to $150 to replace a key, also a waste of money. And the other is get $500 off of your collision deductible...another waste, and once you sign and take vehicle off lot, they won't cancel these types of add ons. The extended and special warranties can be canceled at any time, but your payment stays higher. **Also something they tell you that is "included" with the vehicle is the KAHU GPS locating device. However, they hide the fee in the sales price, $995 and it is a mandatory fee. I was told they add it to ALL of their vehicles. They should add it to the sales price up front if you have to get / pay for it. They also hide this fee in the sales price and on the "Vehicle Buyer's Order" which they don't give you. If you buy from here be informed and in the top of your game (or bring someone) otherwise you'll be taken advantage of. Best advice. Steer Clear of this dealership. read more

I do not recommend working with the dealership. After submitting an inquiry for a 2019 Acura NSX I received a call from the fleet sales manager. On Thursday December 3, 2019 at approximately 12:45PM, I stopped by the dealership to review the 2019 Acura NSX. I was considering trading in my 2018 Audi R8 and sat down with fleet sales manager to go over trade in information such as payoff for the Audi R8 in addition to providing contact information. Fleet sales manager stated that he would work with his team on putting together a deal for me as the dealership was committed to selling the NSX. I never heard back from the fleet sales manager until December 5, 2019 Saturday mid morning. Fleet sales manager was quick to apologize to me about not getting to me sooner supposedly and stated that he and his team needed the time to come up with a deal structure. The fleet sales manager stated that they worked a 5000 mile lease with zero down payment, maintaining the same current payment that I am paying for the 2018 Audi R8. This seemed a bit odd to me and I pursued to ask if this was really the case. Fleet sales manager made statements that this deal would not be an issue as the owner of the dealership wants to see this unit move and the dealership wanted to make this deal happen today! I had been very transparent with the fleet sales manager from the beginning about getting the deal structured prior to running my credit to avoid inquiries on my credit profile. Fleet sales manager asked for me to apply for credit online and that everything will be taken care off. He made it sound like this was a quick deal and that I would be purchasing the NSX on Saturday. No more than 10 minutes passed and I received a call from the Finance manager asking questions about my credit. I communicated to the Finance manager that I had my credit Bureau locked and that I would go ahead and unlock my credit which took a few seconds. After 15 minutes I received a call from the Finance manager that he was able to pull my credit and this is when everything began to unravel. The Finance manager began to ask questions regarding my trade in, payoff, whom I was leasing the Audi R8, basically the exact same information I had gone over with fleet sales manager on Thursday during my initial meeting. It was clear at this point that the Finance manager did not have any idea about this deal and that fleet sales manager had provided me information regarding the deal structure falsely in order to get me to apply for credit. Fleet sales manager had not been working on the deal structure since our initial meeting in fact I received text with him admitting that he still needed to get a buy bid for the Audi R8 on Saturday. He should know not to provide customers with a deal structure specially for a deal such as this without doing research on the trade before providing the customer with false information. It was very clear at this point that fleet sales manager had not been working on this deal the past two days as he had stated and that no one from his management team and finance had a clue on what was going on. It was very disappointing that the Finance manager who called me not only did not have a clue but sounded incompetent. For years I have kept my mouth shut regarding bad customer service at restaurants and dealerships. People assume that you drive a nice car and that you have all this money, but in fact I worked really hard to be able to afford the Audi R8. I was really excited at the opportunity to own a Acura NSX and unfortunately there is a clear difference in dealing with a high end car dealership such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Lamborghini, etc., versus Acura. I was basically swindled to apply for credit on a fake deal structure and after taking care of my credit for so many years now I have an inquiry on my credit for the next two years. Honesty and integrity go a long way, but lying to customers to get them to apply for credit is wrong! This was not a $30k car deal but a $187k car deal that should have been treated and worked on as a team effort by John Eagle Acura. I will be purchasing my NSX out of state going forward but I thought it would be important to let other consumers know not to fall in the same lies. The fleet sales manager should've been transparent from the beginning and not be solely motivated to make a sale, but work on building a long term relationship that will promote a return investment. I spoke to a sales representative over the phone today. I explained my situation - I'm looking for a new car but am not in a rush. What is really important to me is my time and to not waste my time, in addition to getting good value. On the phone, I gave what I thought was a reasonable offer and was told by the sales representative the offer was "very reasonable" and that I would not be wasting my time if I made a trip to the dealership. I again emphasized three more times that I really valued my only free evening this week and I only wanted to make the 22 mile trek to Katy if it would be fruitful with the firm price that I relayed. Again, I received confirmation that I wouldn't be wasting my time. As this was at the end of my work day, I drove in peak traffic for 60 minutes to Katy. Another representative let me test drive the car (and did a good job explaining the features). I again offered the price I said on the phone. The sales manager came out, asked "where is this number coming from?" (MSRP numbers, etc are as arbitrary as any), and said no, he can't do that. I shook his hand and left, having done exactly what I set out not to do - waste my time. I am not upset that I didn't get a car nor am I worried I didn't get the price that I hoped. I'm just bothered that despite pleading with the staff not to waste my time, I wound up doing just that. If they considered my offer unreasonable, I would have greatly appreciated knowing that before 44 miles and 1.5 hours of driving tonight, in addition to another hour at the dealership. At best, their sales representatives have no knowledge of what a reasonable offer is (isn't that their job?). At worst, I was lied to with the hope that by virtue of being at the dealership, I would pay more. Neither is acceptable, especially in this industry, especially with competitors who likely do better. I obviously won't recommend John Eagle Acura to colleagues, friends or family. They seem unable to prioritize what's most important to their customers. read more

I had the absolute WORST experience during and after purchasing a car from John Eagle Acura in Houston, TX. From the incompetent salesman to the absolutely horrible treatment from their finance department the experience is one I would never wish on anyone. The salesman was completely inept. He didn't have to do any real work or selling. I came in having done my research - I knew all the specs, had already taken a test drive, didn't need any kind of pitch and had virtually no questions. I guess I threw him off his game because he never asked for my ID or insurance card. They sold me a car without having verified who I was! I could have been anyone - I could have been committing identify fraud for all they knew. He realized his mistake hours later but they had closed and it was late. Since I was driving back home (out of state) the next morning it was going to be days before I could fax him all my info. That ended up being lucky for me because once I got home and had time to pour over all the contracts and analyze the numbers I had several changes/refunds I wanted issued. That is when it got really ugly. The salesman actually threatened me over the phone because I hadn't faxed my documents (3 business days later) and I'm sure he was in big trouble over it. I'm guessing they can't sell a loan without those documents so they were sitting on a $27k loan they couldn't do anything with. The finance guy never returned my calls or emails, he was evasive and down right rude. Through everything I always maintained my level of professionalism but I was firm about what I wanted. I am still fighting with them over an issue with my warranty. It has been elevated to the finance manager and I guess because I'm a female he has treated me like I'm an idiot. I never play the sexism card - but I have no other way to explain why these guys have been such total dicks to me. He was condescending and rude but I will not be deterred. I will fly back to TX to argue with them to clear the matter up if need be. Please, whatever you do - DO NOT purchase your next vehicle from these people. I'm what you might call a "problem customer." I ask lots of questions, I'm skeptical about what I see and hear, I want the best deal I can possibly get, and I'm over-the-top stubborn about making sure I'm not getting scammed in ANY way. I was all of this and more (but not rude at all, I promise) when I came in to see a vehicle on this lot. Fred was my salesman. He was patient with my concerns and questions, explaining dealership policy and showing me plenty of accurate vehicle comps (I'd already looked them up before coming in). He listened to my financial and material needs, and worked diligently with his manager to meet them. We went back and forth quite a bit, but in the end I got an unbeatable deal. TJ was the manager that helped with my experience. Once they saw I was a serious buyer, he approved a reasonable timeframe for me to drive the car to my nearby mechanic for a thorough inspection. Upon looking under the car, some parts of the suspension appeared to have issues. We were not able to put the car on a lift at that time, however. I brought these issues up to Fred and TJ when I returned, and TJ immediately sent the car to the service garage for his techs to look it over. He then brought me into the back to have me point out what I'd seen with my mechanic. After a few minutes of comparing measurements and viewing the underside of the vehicle head on, I could tell that our fears were misguided. I really appreciate the time and consideration TJ and his team took to ease my mind. There was a slight pull to the right, so I did ask if they could align it for me. TJ had no issue with this. Seeing that the car was actually in great shape, I began filling out the paperwork to buy within a few minutes. I drove my new car off the lot just yesterday, and it feels absolutely divine. I've continued to check comps in my area, and nothing has come close to the deal I got. I couldn't be happier with my experience at John Eagle Acura. As skeptical as I am about dealerships, they really did go above and beyond to make sure i trusted my purchase. Maybe someday I'll see Fred or TJ again for my next car, and maybe I won't be so much of a problem that time! read more

I recommend avoiding this dealership and working with one the other Acura dealerships in Houston....Spent weeks working with a sales person until we got to an agreeable number through email and phone. When I got to the dealership in person I was told that I could not meet the person I had been negotiating with and that I would have to work with someone new, I was told this is how it works at this dealership, I insisted that I wanted to work with the person I had been in touch with but that didn't seem to matter.....The sales manager (who never bothered to introduce himself properly) was very rude to me and told me that I was weird for wanting to speak with the person I had been communicating with, he then proceeded to point his finger outside and tell me to "GO SHOW US WHERE YOUR CAR IS" what happened to please, or asking politely! Neither he nor the person he wanted to assign to me had any idea what the deal or numbers were that had been decided on before I got there, when I asked them the only answer they had "well we know you've been looking around at some dealerships for an Acura" ...... Really! Anyhow, I asked for the keys to my car back and to not appraise my car anymore as I was not happy with the way they were treating me, he took his sweet time and ended up sharing with me in front of everyone around me what my car was worth even though I asked him to stop immediately and he repeated it again very loudly as my back was turned and walking away. Whatever happened to privacy! Before I went to the dealership I made sure that the person I was working with understood my time constraints and that it was very difficult for me to spend 3hrs on the road (yes I drove 1.5 hrs each way to get here) Do yourself a big favor and go to Sterling McCall Acura, Gillman Acura or AutoNation Acura and don't waste your time or effort with this dealership, they were very impolite to me and seem to have P.S. We purchased a 2014 Certified Pre-Owned Acura RDX from John Eagle Acura two weeks ago. It is an absolute joy to drive, but I will likely never buy an Acura from John Eagle again and I know this after only two weeks of owning the car. Here's why: After just one week of driving the car, the sunroof shattered on my drive home from work. I inspected the car and saw no sign of anything hitting the top of the car and there was no point of impact. I took the car to John Eagle for repair and was told that nothing else could have caused that level of impact and we would be responsible for paying for the $1000 repair. I asked them to explain how they came to that conclusion but no one had any answers. They told me that the customer representative, who would be in on Wednesday, would inspect the car and call me with their findings. I received a call this evening from the service team stating that the rep had inspected the car, determined it was a rock and that there was nothing they could do about it. When asked to explain how the rep came to that conclusion, the manager stated he had no idea, he was not there at the time of inspection but they would need the loaner back right away. When I asked to speak to the rep, they said he left already. So, to recap: they waited until he was gone to tell me the bad news so I wouldn't have anyone to speak to and voice my concerns. I called Acura customer service to discuss it with them further and get an explanation from the rep who inspected the vehicle but was told that was not possible & that they could offer no help. We truly thought Acura was different but it seems as though they are like any other large, car company - they treat you with respect and kindness when you're shopping for a car but once you own it, you are no longer important to them b/c you aren't contributing to their bottom line. They know that what they say goes and we have no recourse - even though everyone we spoke with said this was an extremely rare occurrence, no one is willing to take responsibility for what happened. When we purchased the vehicle two weeks ago, we were welcomed to the "John Eagle Family" - is this how you treat family? I hope the other Acura dealerships in the area are better than this one since I plan on keeping this car for a long time and getting regular maintenance and service. read more

First let me say, I was ready to pay sticker and had my own financing through my credit union. Here's why the deal didn't get done. The paperwork had $400 of add-ons that I didn't want. Beware of tthe Data Dots, Nitrogen in the tires, Collision deductible and my favorite... $280 for a replacement key (Not for an extra key). That's right, they want you to pay for a replacement for a key that you may or may not lose in the future. After back and forth with the "finance" guys, all four were FINALLY taken off. Then while waiting on the paperwork, the salesman gives me a piece of paperwork titled Credit Loan Application. I reiterated I had my own financing and he insisted, it was just to get details for the title. He emphasized, they can't pull my credit report unless I sign it, citing several times that it's against the law for them to do that. Yeah, I understand that, I just don't trust them. I refused and then he goes back to the "finance" people and brought another piece of paper and said ok, just fill this out, this also was titled Credit Loan Application, it was just a shorter form. I asked what info do you need for the title and he said your name and address. I replied, you have a copy of my license, why can you just take it off there. He said sometimes people move and their license has an old address. So I asked, why didn't you just ask me if my license was current? It is...because I don't want you sending my title to an old address. The bottom line, on the form, they want your social security number, which they don't need. I said I was leaving only to be chased down by the finance guy. I asked him why they needed my social. He said they weren't going to pull my credit they were just going to look at it because I'd be driving away in their car and they're just supposed to trust that the financing is going to come through? I pointed out this contradicted the salesman who said he needed it for the title. Then comes my favorite part... The finance guy says he needs it to compare to a list of terrorists to ensure I'm not a terrorist. I was incredulous and asked him if he was citing the Patriot Act. We called in the "Finance Director" who admitted you don't need the social for that. So after the salesman and first finance guy insisted for 45 minutes that they needed it, it turns out they didn't. They just try to wear you down with double talk. After four exhausting hours, I left and will never return. The underhanded, deceptive tactics from all of the people I dealt with speaks to how shady they are. I particularly enjoyed when the salesman insisted they are the most scrutinized industry so they are completely aboveboard. Really? In this day of social media and the Internet, everyone is scrutinized. And even if they are, it's not working because they are SLIMY. If you're ok with paying extra for nothing, then feel free to shop here. I would cite names of the people I dealt with, but they have my information and who knows what they will do with it. read more

The epitome of unprofessionalism from the beginning of my transaction, to the end of the transaction. Inessa is very rude and I remained professional with her and she apologized to me but blamed it on her nationality. Why does nationality play a part in this transaction? I felt like it was an excuse for being rude. I spoke with Alice Cao the General Manager she was nice but she Basically wanted me to go away. The sales manager informed me that he would take $100 off the luxury shield and it was not reflected on the final buyers order so I shared that with her. I had text messages and all and she never offered to ensure they kept their word. She corrected the amount of the original luxury shield which did not include the $100 off. We had someone to pick up the car and transport it to Dallas I gave Mike Tran the drivers information and there was no reply that he received the message, and no response of whether the car was picked up. we received the car with no temporary tags and he would not answer my call. I had to call the dealership to ask for him and of course he picked up then and said he would email the tags. This has been a horrible experience and I will Never buy another car from John Eagle. Customer service is important no matter who or what you look like. read more

I was going to rate this dealer higher, however...I was with my parents when they bought a used vehicle here at the end of last month. They were already pre-approved with their credit union (my employer) and gave the dealer the letter. All went pretty well or so we thought. The next thing they know they are getting letters from Bank of America and Chase saying, "Thank you for your recent application for credit recieved through John Eagle Acura." They only needed to sign a purchase agreement, nothing more, and were told they had to sign other "standard" documents. If you are already pre-approved elsewhere you don't have to sign anything but the purchase agreement. Sleazy used car sales tactic. We'll be doing business elsewhere in the future. read more

This is the dealership that used to be on Hwy 6 - they moved to a fancy new location on I-10. Apparently after the move, they thought they were bigshots - the service plummeted and the attitude skyrocketed. I'm happy to report that I braved the bad reports and took my mom's car in for some service. The 2 guys I worked with were both extremely nice and didn't seem to be in pain while providing customer service. I'm not sure what's going on in the sales dept, but the service dept has it's act together now. read more

How does a business go from a 5 star experience to a 1 star experience? Here's how. In December 2014, my wife and I had been shopping around at several dealerships for a 2012 or newer Honda CR-V. We found one here and a very friendly sales person named Ahmar took his time to show us and take us on a test drive despite the fact that the dealership was about to close and they were about to have their annual holiday celebration. Pretty much we were their last customers for the night. Since we thought the Internet price was a fair deal, we were not trying to negotiate anything lower than that. Ahmar did indicate that there were some dealer add ons and that the price would be around 1k more than the Internet price. I told him and his manager that I thought the add ons were a bunch of Bologna. I had done some research and most experts say never to buy the nitro air in the tires or some other key encryption thing that the dealerships claim is so valuabe. Once they knew I was not going to buy it with the add ons they quickly agreed on the Internet price plus tt&l. Here's where the real fun begins. We were told to return the next day to get the deal done so we agreed to come back. We have near perfect credit so we knew we would get the lowest interest rate out there. Once we returned the next day we met the finance man named Nory. At first he seemed really nice telling us that we made a good choice and he was joking around with us. We thought he was genuine and nice at first. I told him that we expect to get a good interest rate since we have excellent credit. Before he gave us our rate he asked if we owned another Acura or Honda it happens that we did own a Honda at the time. He said that since we own a Honda he will put us down as loyal customers and we would receive free oil changes for as long as we own our CRV. We thought there might be a catch but we said okay that sounds good, sign us up. After that he told us that we qualify for a 1.9 rate though Citibank and he had several other low offers from banks after they ran our credit. We told him to just give us the lower rate. That's when he told us about the extended warranty which was going to cost us an additional $1900. I did expect them to try to sell us the warranty but I already knew that I was not going to buy it regardless of how good they made it sound. When I told him I didn't want it he started getting upset and acting as if we don't know what we are doing and that we are missing out on a good opportunity. He kept playing with the numbers and showing us how little our payment changed with adding the warranty. At first I was thinking about it because the payment was not much more. So i asked him again to give me the payments with and without it and the interest rate he was using. He didn't expect me to begin calculating it on my own. Once I calculated it i realized that I was coming out with a different amount than he was. I didn't say anything and just asked him to show me both comparisons on the screen once again. That's when I realized that he kept changing the total cost (higher) of the vehicle when it didn't have the warranty so it would look like the payment was only a little bit higher. I asked him to let me see the screen on the part where it says total financed and he realized that I was on to his trick. He didn't want to show me and got even more upset. He started telling us that if we turned down the warranty we would not get the low interest rate that by the way was offers by the bank, not Acura. I knew that was a bunch of bull. Citibank or any other bank could care less if I purchase the extended warranty. He started acting like a total jerk and at a point my wife and I asked him to give us some time to talk about it. We contemplated calling off the whole deal because of this Snake named Nory. In the end we decided we would just call our credit union and get their financing and not buy the warranty from this jerk. Once we told him this he quickly printed a contact for us to sign, with the higher interest rate of course. He told us that we have 3 days to get the financing done with our credit union and we agreed. I asked him to give me a copy of everything I had just signed. He said "no". He told us since we are refinancing with our credit union we don't get a copy of the contract we just signed. I'm no legal expert but I know you should receive a copy of everything you sign. So I demanded that I receive it and he reluctantly handed it over. He then told me that he was recording everything and showed me on his computer screen with something that appeared to be recording, as if I were the one trying to rip him off. And he said that they loyalty deal he had mentioned earlier for us owning a Honda is no longer valid. I don't know if this guy has ever had complaints before. If he has, I can't see why they would keep him employed. If you absolutely have to buy a vehicle here ask for a different finance man, stay away from Nory. read more

They had some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. My dad and I were driving in a funeral processional when we began to run out of gas. We were able to coast into the dealership. My dad was dressed in a suit and I was dressed nicely in all black, we went inside and asked if they would be able to help us. We told them our situation and that we were willing to pay for gas (we just wanted enough to get us to a gas station) they told us that they could not help us. We sat there until my mom was able to bring us gas after the funeral was over. When we called to talk to the manager the next day, he told us that we were just taking our frustration out on him. I will never buy an Acura and especially not from John Eagle. It was a horrible experience in customer service, and I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years. read more

I have been obsessing over trading in my Mercedes so i woke up early and began my research on true car.com, which led me to this place. After speaking with Josh on the phone, who spoke a great game, I felt convinced that this would be the place to bless me with a much needed new car , a beautiful ILX. Josh threw me on to some guy, Pete , for the sale. He was friendly but seemed more concerned with bragging on himself and the dealership. Annoying, but I thought maybe his confidence is with good reason. My mercedes is a 2007 with less than 100k miles and has been appraised for a really good price at other places. Pete only wanted to give me 3,000. I felt insulted and disrespected. The financing process seemed rushed and he came back with a ridiculous offer . He expected an independent college student to finance for 40,000 and pay 900 a month. I wanted to lease and said this was possible when speaking to Josh, however he did not ever consider this for me. In the end, I drove 45 minutes to this place in between class and work and all I got was Pete saying "well this is all we can do unless you get 4 or 5 thousand. here are your keys to your old car." I had found a 2014 Acura online that I wanted to buy. Knowing that I found the car on another website, I knew I needed to call the dealership to make sure the car was still available. I called and spoke with Anna who title was, "Internet Sales". I gave her the stock number and asked if the car was still available. She said it was not coming up in the system, but that happens sometimes. Then she acted like she was looking something up and said, no, that car is still available. When can you come for a test drive? I let her know that I worked over an hour away, so I would need more information before just coming to see the car. She emailed me the credit application and I sent it back. She let me know I was approved and asked again when I could see the car. I let her know I was looking at 2 other cars at that time and I already had rates and monthly payments from the other dealerships and I would come to see the Acura as long as her rates and payments were comparable to the other two cars. She told me she could not do that over the phone for my protection. I'm sorry, but that is a lie. You already have all my information through the credit application, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to just give me a quote. I had multiple other dealerships give me quotes. I decided to go and see the car that day. I had been communicating with Anna the day before I came to see the car to check availability. I also called her the day I was going to see the car to schedule a time to test drive. I drove an hour to get to the dealership. Asked to speak with Anna when I got there. Anna was not there, yet she said she would see me when I spoke with her on the phone. Then, another sales person walks up after we waited a while and says, "How can I help you?". I said, "You don't know anything about why we are here?" He said no, but how could he help. I let him know we were here for a test drive. He left to get the keys and came back a few minutes later and said that the car was sold YESTERDAY. I just spoke with Anna that day to schedule a test drive, her knowing that I had to drive an hour to get to the dealership, and the car was already sold. He said the car was sold late last night and they were in the dealership until 12am. That actually turned out to also be a lie because when I complained and wanted to talk to a manager, the manager said it was some Ebay deal done online. They then asked me if I wanted to see some other cars. Um, NO. I came here wanting to test drive a certain car. I had been car shopping for 2 weeks and was ready to buy. No I don't want to shop around. I know your inventory, and that was the only car I wanted. Even if they had the same exact car, at that point I was so mad, I wouldn't give them my business anyway. The next day, I purchased a 2013 Infinity G37, fully loaded from Sewell Infiniti. The experience over there was completely opposite. They treat you like family and the cars come with better certified warranties anyway. Ask for Shane, he's amazing. read more

My review is very similar to Raul's earlier. We bought a used vehicle (certified preowned TL) in August 2014 from them at the price listed on the Internet. They then tried to add on other items which I rejected. Even though I informed the sales person that I was going to pay the full amount via a personal check right at the beginning - the process took over 4 hours with my family waiting with me. The finance rep (Matt) offered the extended warranty and I considered it but turned it down as it was not from Acura but some other third party. He then became upset, rude, and unprofessional. I complained about this to the salesman (TJ Morin). I then discovered that the certified preowned designation had expired and they tried to tell me that it was 'fine' but would not put it in writing. I had to insist with the sales rep on speaking with the manager and the manager finally printed out a statement that showed that it was valid after he entered it into the system. For a customer paying full advertised price and in cash -- it certainly is not pleasant to spend over 4 hours and to be treated with disrespect by the finance rep (Matt). No survey was sent to me via mail as I suspect that the finance rep and sales rep wanted to avoid any negative feedback. I would not recommend buying from them based on my experience . The experience we had purchasing my wife's used Acura at Mercedes of Sugar Land was exceptionally pleasant even though we also paid cash there and declined all options offered by the finance person. They were respectful and that process only took half an hour! read more

I just moved to Texas and needed a front plate holder for my car, the cost of the part for a dealer was way less than I had thought. They even installed it for free, swapped out both plates for me, and scraped my sticker and put it on my vehicle for me. After I paid for the part I realized that I already owned a piece of it so they refunded me for the part that I already owned. The service is what I call above and beyond. read more

Our service advisor, Eric Y., has always been very nice, but our overall experiences at JE Acura were subpar at best. From performing a BG "Power Flush" on a TL whose transmissions was recalled/repaired (and against the explicit instructions of American Honda Motor Corp., per the TSBs issued to all Honda/Acura techs) AND after flushing the coolant way too often AND changing the drain washer on the ATF at every oil change (why?) AND using their "house oil," a 5w-30, on a TL when the crankcase and manual clearly call for 5w-20, and a few other things, I just CANNOT recommend this dealership! On my TSX, they could never "duplicate the problem" (whatever problem), including a fluid leak I gave them a week to search for. That leak turned out later to be from a recalled power steering hose. "We can't hear the 'whooooop!' sound the A/C compressor makes," said they, but every year when the temps. rise above 80º, there it is--scaring all those within 100 feet of my car. If JE Acura were my ONLY option, I could probably manage taking our cars there, since I now know enough about Acuras/Hondas to keep JE Acura honest, in case they wanted to pull any BS. Thankfully it isn't my only option. And I can do without overpaying some lackey at the stealership to manhandle our luxury cars. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

As far as car dealerships go, John Eagle isn't much different from the others. I just bought a certified pre owned mdx here last night and while the price wasn't too bad (dealer always wins when it comes to buying a used car) they employed several dishonest tricks that had my skin crawl. There were two incidents of "oops we made a mistake" during the transaction. The first was during negotiations, they lowered the price of the car on that silly paper they make you sign but didn't tell me they reduced the value of my trade. When I pointed it out the salesperson said "oh yeah, I was going you tell you about that". Sho I walked out only to have then call me later saying they were willing too negotiate again. After negotiations and while in the finance office, the contract was printed and they once again "made a mistake" and attempted to overcharge me on the price of the car. These are old tricks used by sleazy sales people. It's a shame that a luxury car buying experience had to includE those manipulations. All in all I believe I got a fair deal but only becausE I was diligent. Don't let your guard down when dealing with this dealership! read more

Sales people are great. John Sing the service advisor is a rip off artist. We brought our vehicle in for service. He asked if someone else changed our brakes. Then he called us to report that lug nuts were broken. It would cost 500 to repair. Took the vehicle to Gilman and the said nothing was wrong and only replaced the missing lug nuts that John Eagle removed. I will never do business here again. read more
