He has my full trust and he's a great guy! The way he treats his staff is second to none. Respectful and kind. My regular hygienist, Dylan(sp?) is also the best hygienist I've ever had. She's so thorough and gentle. Nelda at the front desk is also so kind and patient with me when I inevitably need an explanation on one thing or another. All around great practice and a great group of people. Everyone should know about this place.

I'd go to a different practice for a second opinion and have fillings recommended to me too - but of different teeth from what the first practice recommended! Extractions, gum work, all kinds of additional procedures were suggested to me with the underlying threat that if I ignored their advice, I was neglecting my health. Enter Dr. LaBombard and Airport Dental. In 5 years he's only once told me I've needed a filling, and I have had zero issues with pain or infections so I don't think he is undertreating me. My wife, who takes meticulous care of her teeth, also used to regularly have fillings recommended at other practices. At Airport Dental she's had no such issues. The office is clean, quiet, and well-lit but it does not have the spa appearance (or location) of other offices in town. But I'd suggest you ask yourself where those fancy offices are getting their money from. The hygienists are all great too and everyone in the office seems to get along. I've had multiple hygienists work on my chronically tea-stained teeth and they've all been great but Dillon has deft hands and the patience of a saint. Ethical, kind, straightforward are probably the 3 adjectives that best describe this practice. If Dr. LaBombard and co. ever move or close down I will probably give up on dentists.

I like Dr. Grimm and was pleased with the filling I had to get from her at one point. For most of us, 90% of your time in the office is with the dental hygienist and Cindy is just great. She's careful, gentle, friendly, and puts me at ease in the chair. The office building they're in is convenient to downtown and south lamar. It's a classy office building and the view from their 4th floor office is calming as you look out above the treetops in the greenbelt.

He is kind and fun and never pushes anything that isn't necessary. I genuinely look forward to seeing him. His team (shoutout to Michelle in particular) is organized, responsive and friendly. Hello, I'm sorry to…read moremake this review of a doctor at this establishment, and honestly, the office as a whole at this point. I came here in early 2019, and later in this last year, the service done here caused me further injury. For some background, I received a full mouth rehabilitation in another country, Istanbul, and it went sour. The way my row of teeth was positioned caused TMJ symptoms and strained muscles. I didn't trust them to go back to them to fix it, hell, as of six months later, they had erased my info anyway. When I visited Balcones Family Dental in October 2024, I had already gotten four teeth replaced from my full mouth rehab and one root canal, and was showing slight TMJ symptoms. When Christopher Glecos agreed to work on me, he offered an occlusal equilibration to straighten my bite. I should have vetted harder, because I had no idea he was then taking online classes for the thing I was asking for. At the time, my mouth has already been through a lot, and the process of strengthening my bite required more professional diligence than what I received. Doctor Glecos wanted to start fresh and not look at any of my background on the matter. I did give my info anyway, a told him I was going to see a chiropractor for my TMJ. At the time, I thought it would be enough, but I was wrong. Knowing now, I needed Physical Therapy and a specialist trained in TMJ symptoms. Even with all the background I gave him, he was still willing to do the occlusal equilibration even though his experience was green in the matter, and if he had thought otherwise, I'd have been referred to someone else. There's no way one would take on a complicated situation as mine if one was still only taking online classes for it... I explained that my goals were to address bite instability by identifying problem areas and finding a good course of action. For me, this meant combing through the teeth and seeing which ones were hitting harder and by how much, and then considering new crowns for those problem areas. Dr. Glecos described using 'slits of paper' to relax the bite and then find out where in the mouth my teeth were misaligned or hitting first. At no time did we discuss making irreversible adjustments to the bite. I was under the impression that we would take measurements of the teeth to see which ones needed attention. The time came for measurements, after the 'slits of paper' method, he started altering the bite with a bur. I did not expect the procedure to begin at that time, as I believed we were still in the evaluation phase. I allowed it since he had already started grinding at the bite, placing my trust in him. After several sessions, eventually I woke up with new symptoms. Nerve pain was shooting down my legs, and muscle strain, and eventually a chronic sinus infection. When expressing these symptoms on the day I was receiving my night guard, I was told to go to a general physician, and the dentist wasn't even going to be called in until I notified the ladies at the front desk. During the examination, Dr. Glecos stated he did not see any issues and offered to make additional adjustments. Given the new symptoms, I declined further alteration. He then indicated there was little else he could do. When I described the symptoms as nerve-related, I was told that adjustments were made on crowns rather than natural teeth and therefore, should not cause nerve symptoms. It was concluded that my symptoms were 'Underlying issues'... I feel the possibility of nerve issues can arise from a destabilized bite around the jaw joint. My TMJ issues were a focal point in our consultation, and I hoped for a more thorough evaluation or referral. For my symptoms, pain was traveling down my leg, my feet, my chest, and through my throat. Never in two places at once, but present every day. This altered the way I walked, and numbness could be felt in my left hand, and eventually, a rapid amount of aging was taking place. Facial deformations started to form under my eyes from a chronic sinus infection. This infection has been plaguing me since the occlusal adjustment. Tinnitus was sounding loudly from my right ear, the side with the TMJ issue. Also, there were medical reports given of these symptoms as well. Afterwards, I went to many other professionals and specialists seeking a root cause. These things usually take time; referrals have to be shipped out from my General Doctor, and acquiring an appointment within three months' time for some of these places was rare. My symptoms were getting better in some areas, but also getting worse. On a return visit six months later for a cleaning (I continued to work with them and report my symptoms), I was finally referred to a prosthodontist to check my bite. The hygienist at the time actually pushed the issue of seeing a specialist right away for a suspected collapsed bite. Given the timing of my symptoms, I am concerned that an earlier referral may have allowed for a timely assessment. I did

She actually let me do it once but after that she was totally against it. I Brought this up to my pulmonologist and he suggested that since most dentist/hygienists know little about lung disease and that I should find a new dentist. So I made a change as soon as I could . I suffered with being treated for serritia during my time there for several years. I usually felt rushed during my appointments but now I don't worry about that.

My tooth cleaner Cassidy did an amazing job at cleaning my teeth and made sure to let me know the spots where I need to brush more. Lastly, Dr. Ho the dentist was very detailed and made sure to give me a complete rundown of my teeth. He also described what my breathing canal looked like as well as a couple prone areas for cavities. Overall, I have no complaints and I was very satisfied with my experience here.

That said, I feel compelled to give Dr. Ho a three star review. Dr. Ho is a nice guy, and definitely seems to "know his teeth." However, to continue with the dental metaphors, the lingering taste in my mouth from my visit was one of irritation with the practice's inefficient, time intensive workflow, which IMHO, completely negates the convenience benefits of the practice's location, and for the reasons set forth herein, doesn't really make sense from either a dental care or business perspective. My routine cleaning and dental exam took over an hour to complete, with at least twenty five minutes spent poring over 3-D scans of my skull and teeth, and Dr. Ho discussing how the 3-D scan showed that one of my sinuses was fully blocked. (regrettably, the fact that only 50% of the cost of the 3-D imaging would be covered by my insurance was not part of the discussion). Fascinating stuff, that rundown on my nasal passages - but a bad use of my time when I'm breathing fine, my teeth don't hurt and I've got to run back home to ferry a toddler to daycare. Further, about 15 minutes into the discussion of 3-D scan of my head and teeth (including asides on the state of my sinuses), Dr. Ho went from being generally sanguine about my dental health to going back and forth as to whether he saw a cavity . From this, I conclude that there is some probability I have a cavity, and we should definitely keep a close eye on one or more of my teeth. By my math, my dental visit was made ~20-25 minutes longer and $150 more expensive than it needed to be due to the long winded review of the partially out-of-plan 3-D imaging. From a business and prophylaxis standpoint, the better move would have been to skip the 3-D imaging, and to the extent x-rays presented a tricky question of whether I have a cavity in need of attention, move up the date of my next checkup to keep an eye on my possibly latently janky tooth. We'd all win this way. I'd get back my precious time, insurance would have paid for everything, and Dr. Ho would easily recapture the revenue from the $%^&-ing out-of-plan 3-D scan in future cleanings and visits. Further, if routine cleaning/checkups proceeded quicker and did not include a partially out-of-plan 3-D scan as a matter of default, I'd be inclined to send the rest of my family to this practice, so we could all get our teeth done and go for burgers afterwards. But so long as such a visit would foreseeably take four-plus hours and cost me $600 for the uninsured portion of four 3-D scans, that's not a sensible option. That said, I'm a reasonable guy, and if presented with evidence of shorter visit times and making the 3-D imaging optional, I'd consider updating this review and returning to this practice, as Dr. Ho appears to be a thoroughly competent dentist with an uber-convenient location.
