Recently changed dentists. Dr Patel has been outstanding with administration of local anesthetics and even more outstanding with her ability to give a perfect bite when creating a crown. I'm 77 yrs old and never have had a crown with a perfect bite first time around. The staff is fantastic. Most notably Selma: a hygienist extraordinaire. You'll never forget your appointment here. I've been going to this practice for about 4 years. I really like the new doctor - Dr. Patel. She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and personable. She also doesn't push unnecessary treatments which I appreciate as someone who is both budget conscious and takes very good care of my teeth. It even seems like prior issues with finding consistent hygienists have been remedied. Unfortunately they still have a lot of issues finding reliable and knowledgeable front desk personnel, and as a result I have had a TON of billing issues, which ultimately resulted in my and my family leaving the practice. Although these issues have persisted the entire 4 years I have been a patient, most recently I was not told my and my child's visit was out of network until I received the bill. Apparently the practice has not updated their information with insurance providers and the old doctor is still listed as in network even though the practice changed hands nearly a year ago. Although I don't believe it was done on purpose, it certainly affected my family in a financially negative way and it is reflective of the overall poor communication and billing practices. read more

Soft Touch Dental is the best dental office in town. It is conveniently located in the Bee Cave HEB strip mall so it's easy to park. Her office staff is wonderful and very accommodating. The office is very clean and relaxing. Dr Patel is a perfectionist with dental work. I had a very visible filling between my front teeth that she replaced and the new filling is not even noticeable. I've also had some crowns replaced and fillings done. They have a great system there which enlarges your X-rays onto a big screen and you can see the cavities yourself. Dr B. is amazing! I've had a rough road with previous dentists so I'm always a little nervous. Honestly, I never know what they're doing in there. Last week I was a new patient in for a cleaning and this week I needed to come in for a last minute crown replacement (to replace one from 10 years ago) and she was fantastic every step of the way. She was very transparent showing me xrays and explaining the procedures necessary. Also, paid close attention to detail and overall did great dental work. I was also super impressed at how much work she tackled herself instead of constantly waiting for a dental tech to step and fetch. Some dentists can feel very detached in that they only do the important parts, but she was hands on the whole way and even offered thorough explanations into the "why" for everything that needed to be done. About a year ago I came in for an emergency - an old filling broke off and took part of my tooth with it. They got me in quickly which I appreciated, everyone was very nice and the space was super clean. Unfortunately that's where the positives end. My temporary crown (see pic) was just a yellowed stub - not at all my natural tooth shape and so tiny I can only imagine how little of my natural tooth is left under there. The appointment took close to 3 hours and was absolute torture on my jaw (TMJ) and gums, which were pretty cut up by the end of things. They had to redo the molds for the crown multiple times. My gums and tooth were sore for about a week after. Although I was so unhappy with this temp, I couldn't go through multiple more hours to redo it. When I came in for the permanent at my second appointment, it didn't fit and they had to redo the whole process and send out for a new one. A year later that tooth still feels sensitive sometimes. Never having a crown before I didn't realize this level of discomfort was not the norm until I went somewhere else this year for a second one, same exact issue with an old filling, and it took 40 minutes max and left me with zero discomfort even on the same day. To top off my experience with this practice, I had a cleaning scheduled shortly after my crown last year. The day before my appointment, they called and asked if I'd seen a TMJ specialist. I said no, but I see a chiropractor who works on my jaw. I was then told I could not be a patient with them unless I saw a specialist and they cancelled my appointment. The receptionist is so kind, friendly and helpful with anything you need. They offer an in house plan to assist with payment, which is super helpful if you don't have dental insurance. My fiancé and I have used 3 different hygienists since we began going to this office and each one is amazing! There's a reason it's called Soft Touch! I've always been weary of dentists from experiences in the past, but let me tell you this office is top notch. I have not had a regular dentist in years... I've lost many teeth over the years and was unable to have my teeth repaired, restored or replaced... I've been in Austin for 4 years, and have seen 3 other dentists here and in San Antonio at the dental school... I'm so grateful to have found Dr. B... I've just started seeing her a couple weeks ago... Her office staff are really nice and knowledgeable... Jennifer is great!!! I have a loose front filling, was worried that I'd loose this tooth before getting it replaced, but it stayed in place after getting the impressions done... Great job!!! I am having to have a lot of extractions done, but Dr. B and her staff have gone over everything, gave me an honest evaluation, and I'm getting my whole mouth fixed at a reasonable cost... She's on my in-network coverage, and I'm really glad I found her... I'm usually not that nervous about seeing dentists, but since I've put off seeing one for so long, I was a bit hesitant about having so much work done, and all the shots I'd have to have... But I just had my first tooth pulled, and I've gotta say, it was easy... Dr. B knows what she's doing!!! I would wholeheartedly refer anyone to this office!!! I've seen many dentists over the years, and had to change dentists due to relocating over the last 30 years... HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It's been about 6 years since my last trip to the dentist. I have a good amount of gingival recession & had a few areas of hefty tartar buildup. Everyone here from start to finish was fantastic. Jessica was my hygienist & I cannot say enough great things about her. I was upfront about my previous lack of dental care, and at no point during the visit did I feel judged or shamed. Instead we focused on building a treatment plan to get things back on track. I was seen by Dr Smith and I loved her as well! I was able to be very "real" about my story & what concerns I had. Nothing was overly sugar coated, but there was no guilting either... I felt like the whole experience was a team effort to figure out what needed to be done to address my particular needs. Due to multiple issues regarding my oral health, the recommended plan of action was a debridement to allow for a better assessment at a follow up visit. They were even able to accommodate the procedure same day, which was awesome because I know it took a fair amount more time than a routine prophylaxis. As far as a debridement goes, it was about as "gentle" as you can get. Jessica made sure I knew to signal her at the first sign of discomfort, to add additional numbing agent. And the local anesthetic used was super cool, applied topically & lasted only ~15 minutes versus hours walking around while obliviously drooling on yourself. Jessica was efficient & encouraging, she educated me on how with enhanced home care & more frequent cleanings, my periodontal disease has a good chance to be managed. Overall, it was a very positive & constructive experience, which is exactly what I was looking for. The front desk staff was fabulous. Dr Smith was obviously well educated & had a great "bed side manner". Jessica was the highlight, cannot give enough kudos to this gal. Thank you BEE CAVE SOFT TOUCH DENTAL!! I have had the best experience with Dr.Behmanesh and her Staff especially Jessica the best dental hygienist ever! I waited too long to go for a cleaning and needed a deep clean. They offered in house insurance and handled my request to have it done in one sitting. I have now been to the office 3 times and each time has been great. My 21 year old daughter went in with coupon for $99 cleaning, X-rays and exam. She was told her teeth were so bad that the cleaning would make it worse, so they didn't clean her teeth, but took $99. She was told she had gum disease and 12 cavities and was pressured to begin a $3,000 treatment plan while still sitting in the chair. A week later I took her to another dentist. She had a xrays (again), a cleaning and an exam. She was told that other than two surface level cavities, she has great teeth. Definitely no gum disease. read more

I had a history of unpleasant trips to the dentist which led me to neglect my teeth for about 5 years. Needless to say they were not in the best shape when I finally went to see Dr. B, then still practicing at her previous office. But a cleaning, 12 fillings, and a crown later and I felt good as new! I recently moved to the Bee Cave area and I have come to a conclusion, Dr. B is hands down amazing. Sometimes a dad isn't always superman because when he takes three kids to the dentist and all of them are crying, he tends to give up. Can I just start off with a big WOW?! This office was stunning and definitely well put together. It really gave off the family friendly vibe, yet was extremely modern. Can you believe all the decorative detail that was put into this office came from the very own doctor herself?! I can only imagine how detailed she will be when she starts working inside my mouth! When I arrived at the office, I was lucky enough to see Dr. B as soon as I checked in. That first impression of her just being able to help out her staff when needed and not one of those snobby doctor's that are too good to help out the front area, really impressed me. She welcomed me herself and her personality really just made me feel like I was with the right doctor. I completed the check in process, which was extremely fast and was immediately seated! Am I the only one that HATES when doctor office's double book their patients? Emily, the schedule coordinator, reassured me that Dr. B stands firm on the no doubling patient policy because she values her patient's time. Jennifer, the dental assistant, had magic fingers because my infamous gagging didn't even happen once...can I just officially say that I'm in love with this office already? I recently discovered Bee Cave Soft Touch Dental and have been so impressed with their service. Dr. B and the entire staff are outstanding. Originally, I chipped my front tooth (imagine the horror), but the cosmetic repair performed by Dr. B. made it look better than before. Dr. B also filed down my lower tooth a little to minimize the grinding that it was causing on the weak area of my upper tooth. In addition, I have had three crowns put in and couldn't be happier. I followed Dr. Sarah Behmanesh from the place she practiced dentistry prior to Bee Cave Soft Touch Dental. (Western Trails) Although the location of Western Trails was more convenient in its location to my job, she is SO good I had to make the switch! She is so well trained and skilled at dentistry, you won't want to trust your teeth to anyone else. Not only is Dr. B excellent, the staff at Bee Cave is wonderful and accommodating as well. They compared two different insurance plans to make sure I would get the best benefit from my dental benefits. Also, my husband has done price comparisons on procedures amongst different dental providers in the area, and this practice is more reasonable than many others within a couple of miles.
