Of course, initially I called the toll free number to schedule our ABF order…read more But when the guys in Lubbock (which was the closest ABF service center to Hobbs, NM) called me the following week before our trailer would be dropped off, I was pleasantly surprised with their service. It's difficult enough packing your entire house into one semi trailer much less in just a few days for a transit of well over 1,000 miles (destination = Los Angeles, CA). This service center was very accommodating, though. They stated that they make drop-offs and pick-ups only on Tuesday and Thursday in Hobbs. So regardless of what the representative may tell you on the phone, they do not know clearly how all of the service centers operate. TIP: Call the service centers that you know will be handling your shipment as soon as posible to get all the details that you can about arrival and departure times. They cannot give you exact times, but estimates. I was very satisfied with my dealings with the Lubbock ABF service center. They did exactly what they promised. They also shared their suggestions with me about what to do when we arrived in L.A. (even though I had already read over this information via email and the ABF website). Total cost for using their services for the entire trip: $2,669 (11,200 lbs.). Compare that to the $10,000 ESTIMATE that I received from a full service moving company. I highly recommend ABF to anyone who is mindful of their budget. Review #75

We are extremely please with: -the price -the care of our possessions -the timeliness of pick up and delivery -the extra effort given to accommodate certain restrictions. -the courtesy and helpfulness of the drivers. They provided tips that were very helpful. U-Pack was recommended to us by friends and we will recommend to anyone. Thank you.

Instead what we got was our whole house loaded up in 2 hours! These guys were go getters! I highly recommend this company. I don't leave many yelp reviews but I was so impressed that I wanted to this time. Very professional, very respectful. Showed up on time and did their job expertly.

While they did show up on time and do the job they were paid to do, their complete lack of…read moreprofessionalism alone will prevent me from ever recommending this company. First, when the owner called me to set up the time, he was completely rude. Correcting me on the size of the trailer that I had rented from another company, he insisted twice that I was wrong. I eventually had to blow him off in mid conversation because of it. Second, he would not acknowledge the charity that I was wanting half my stuff delivered to. I had to force the issue. They were hired to load my trailer and take half my stuff to a charity that I chose. This was a very simple move for them to complete. But when I was telling them where I wanted my stuff donated, they requested that I give them the donations for their own charity. While this charity is a worthy charity, it has nothing to do with their company, just someone that works there deals with it. They were so insistent and repeated themselves over and over about it that I felt obligated. Very unprofessional.
