Coming in here it seemed like it would be a great place for banquets and gatherings. It's located in the building known as The Plant. There were only a few people here and it seemed pretty quiet. A lot of people just don't know about it. The beers are the best things but it also has more. A lot of the beers seem to have a theme about care. It's about $7 a pint. Best of the ones we had was the Miaou. This is a dry hopped Belgian style wheat. Hoppy while still being not too hoppy. There's also pizza. Kind of limited and expensive. The pizza mostly has meaty toppings. Has to be one of the most interesting places in this pretty rough area. It's pretty cool to come when the rest of the vendors here are open. They're closed Mondays to Wednesdays.

I'm actually writing this review while standing outside waiting for my Uber. We ordered the Ernie's Fingers, Southern Curry Chicken, and Pimento Mac & Cheese. Let's start with tha ambience. The decor is inviting but it is VERY small inside. On to the food. The Ernie's Fingers were especially disappointing. For $15, I expected much more. They were essentially egg rolls filled with collard greens and cornbread--no meat at all. While the concept sounded interesting, it didn't justify the price tag. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food quality compared to the cost. The Southern Curry Chicken was dry and overcooked and really needed some type of sauce. The rice was simply plain white rice--nothing memorable and certainly not what I'd expect for a dish that costs around $40 - chicken and rice, literally. The pimento mac & cheese was also much saltier than I prefer. What made the experience even more disappointing was how we were treated. By the end of our 90-minute dining window, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. It felt as though we were being rushed out of the restaurant, which left a bad impression and took away from what should have been an enjoyable meal. To add to that, the automatic 20% gratuity was also a letdown. I have no problem tipping for great service, but considering the overall experience--from the food quality to feeling rushed out the door--it didn't feel deserved. Maybe I visited on an off day because so many others have had great experiences. I can only speak to my visit, and unfortunately, between the overpriced food, disappointing flavors, feeling like an inconvenience at the end of our meal, and the automatic gratuity, it simply wasn't worth the cost for me.

Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. It had a light crispness on the outside, then a warm, pillowy center that practically melted away with each bite. I finished it way faster than I expected. The only thing I forgot was ordering something to drink with it. Looking back, a good coffee would've made it even better. Still, I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

They have a pretty large menu to choose from too. Their food items always come with a fry and drink included. They do have room for a few diners on the inside and they have an ATM, as well.
