Alright this place was a whooooole vibe! I recently came in October for a friend's birthday and we truly enjoyed ourselves. Our server was gorgeous and very friendly. She offered us free wine to taste that was very good for a white wine lover. We ordered - 2 coconut curry salmon dishes, herb crusted rack of lamb, brussel sprouts shareable, and all their mocktails. Then my sister got their fruit sorbet with sparkling wine. Everything was very very good. This wasn't your typical restaurant food but very upscale and carefully prepared. One of the coconut curry salmon dishes came out with the wrong sauce and they made sure to fix it as well as offer free appetizers to make up for it. And I don't know why but their watermelon nojito was so good I got like 3 The night we came it was pretty busy and they had a DJ. The music was veeeeery loud which made it a little difficult to have conversation unless you were sitting right next to the person. Lighting was low and moody and slightly romantic. I love the decor here and the history behind the place. Will always stop in when I'm in the area.

I feel like you can't go wrong with bronzeville winery. The food is always a pleasure, since it was busy for restaurant week service was slower but not bad. The energy is always nice, playing oldies was a nice brunch

Went with two of my older cousins when I was visiting Chicago for the weekend who aren't big wine lovers but they know I am. They also wanted to try somewhere they've never been before. All in all, it was a fantastic brunch experience. I opted for something different for my main- shirred baked egg. Reminded me of a Shaksuka, a middle eastern dish. I am grossed out by runny eggs so I asked for it to be cooked over hard. I probably should've said over medium accounting for the fact they would continue to cook because it was served in the skillet. It was delicious and flavorful plus a bit spicy . I tried my cousins chicken and it was perfection! Perfectly seasoned, crispy and juicy. Yum! I had a hard time choosing which wines I wanted a glass of, so the waitress said we could try a few as a tasting before I decided. I took her up on that! She also brought all 3 of us glasses of their house cava. We all agreed it was amazing. I'm considering joining their wine club because I noticed some unusual bottles and I'm pretty well-versed. I love how unique they are. Oh yeah, their music playlist was

This was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! They had a dj who was playing great music. You definitely need a reservation and can expect a small wait. There's very little waiting room and no seated waiting space besides the bar. The hostess and wait staff were all very nice. The macaroni and cheese was very salty so they took it off our check without any issue. We enjoyed our entrees and the Brussel sprouts. Everything came out hot and fresh with little wait time. The birthday girl was celebrated with champagne and a delicious seasonal cheesecake.

We came for 11:30 brunch, and Bronzeville Winery never disappoints. The service is phenomenal, every team member pays attention to the smallest details and makes you feel welcome. We started with mimosas and coffee, both on point. I ordered the shrimp and grits, while my table enjoyed the French toast, chicken and waffles, and maple bacon. Every bite was flavorful and perfectly cooked. Everything about the experience from the food to the service to the vibe was top-tier. We'll definitely be back!

I've visited Bronzeville Winery several times, but this was my first time trying their brunch & it did not disappoint! We went to celebrate my sister's birthday, and from the moment we arrived, the experience was top-notch. The hostess was incredibly kind and immediately asked if we were celebrating anything. When we said it was my sister's birthday, she surprised her with a complimentary glass of champagne; such a thoughtful touch! We ordered the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, a salmon salad, and a Bloody Mary. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The only minor note: the salad portion could have used a bit more lettuce, as it came in a smaller bowl. But aside from that, everything was excellent. The service, food, and music created the perfect vibe for a relaxed and celebratory brunch. I have zero complaints and will definitely be back!

Black owned winery in Chicago I'm so glad we found you!!! This place did not disappoint and was decorated so beautifully!! The music was like listening to my own playlist but def had to follow their Spotify because I kept having to open Shazam for the remixes. The customer service was 10/10!! Our waitress was so bubbly, informative and helpful. The Brussels were phenomenal!! The shrimp was fantastic as well. I was overjoyed with the selection of wines they had as well as cocktails but the orange wine won me over. It was my first time tasting it and now I'm def a fan. I will be sure to visit next time I'm in town and have def shared to all my friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

I've found another gem in Bronzeville! I took advantage of restaurant week and dined solo at Bronzeville Winery. Upon entry, you are greeted by the host and the bar! The bar is literally 4 steps from the door. One of my besties was supposed to join me for dinner but couldn't make it so I dined solo. I was seated right across from the Dj booth, facing the dinner room. The music created a vibe, the lighting was dope....a nice vibe. I decided on the restaurant week menu with caviar. My first experience like this with caviar and it was ok. Caviar was....salty but yet enjoyable. My next selection was their bread with butter. Yummers!!! I I loved it. I mean if we can't get good bread and butter...what are doing ‍ My next selection was a dinner salad topped with pomegranate seeds and goat cheese. Another delicious entree. My main course was their lobster roll with French fries but by the time it came, I was full. There was no way I was going to eat dessert, pack it up as well. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back.

The restaurant is beautiful; the artwork, the lighting, the cool chairs were all great. The host was warm and very sweet. He gave us complimentary wine because he said the kitchen had gotten backed up. Our sever then told us the same thing and that she wouldn't take orders for another 15/20 minutes. Our reservation was at 8:30pm on a Friday and we arrived on time. We didn't order until 9pm and didn't get our entrees until 9:45pm. So we were still eating at 10pm. This was a long wait. We saw a table of people leave and others were complaining. We did get an order of Brussel sprouts come out before our main courses to hold us over around 9:15pm, but the wait was just unacceptable. I don't know why the kitchen wasn't ready for a Friday night crowd, but it is what it is. Our server, Cierra, was nice but she didn't go out of her way to apologize or check on us either. That was a missed opportunity. Food wise, I had the salmon tagliatelle. The salmon was seasoned well and was a good portion. The pasta, unfortunately, was very overcooked and mushy. Plus I think there was too much pasta for the sauce. I left most of the pasta on the plate. My sister had a salad with a side of steak (keto meal). The steak was butchered and rare. She ordered medium well lol. The server took the steak off the bill after we showed it to her. It was a bad cut of meat, poorly cooked, and then cut into pieces before serving. My friend had the burger and said it was AMAZING, and so were the fries. The salmon curry was the last dish my other friend had. She was underwhelmed. The sauce was thick and the rice was mushy. The brussel sprouts were very tasty and the non-alcoholic sparkling wine I had was delicious.

I have visited Bronzeville Winery a number of times. This time, I had an early birthday celebration at Bronzeville Winery. The service was very good and the ambiance was unmatched. The food, however is inconsistent. When the restaurant owners are there, the food is amazing, but as soon as they leave or the evening grows later, the food quality dips. It is disappointing because I love this restaurant and their investment in the community. I had the salmon tagliatelle, which was delicious and had a beautiful presentation. The truffle fries were cooked perfectly. The cava was delightfully palatable. The peach cobbler was very forgettable. Lastly, I really enjoyed and appreciated my server, Corrine Z. She was thoughtful and I was in awe as she handled multiple tables with ease. Overall, I am happy I celebrated my birthday there and look forward to next time.

Bronzeville winery is an experience; the food, the DJ, the decor, they curate the vibe. I have to say that the food is a fresh take on what would normally be southern home cooking with a twist. The shrimp and grits were delicious! Very cheesy grits and perfectly fried shrimp. I also had the coconut curry salmon which was cooked perfectly! The service is attentive and they're very knowledgeable about the wine list. The only drawback is that you may wait a while for your food.

If you're looking for a meaningful (and delicious) way place to eat put Bronzeville Winery at the top of your list. This Black-owned gem in the heart of Bronzeville offers incredible food, standout service, gorgeous decor and a wine list that tells a story. We let our waiter choose for us and he nailed it. My dining companion couldn't stop talking about the shrimp, I'm still dreaming about the burrata basil pasta, and don't even get me started on the desserts. One of the most special parts of the evening? The Black on Black Wine Flight every pour is from a Black winemaker, and every glass tells a powerful story. It's more than a wine flight; it's a celebration of culture, talent, and community.

As a main dish I picked prosciutto focaccia and while on paper it looked great, it came out very dry, almost stale, I didn't enjoy it at all. While fries were great, the portion of it was tiny. Like, 10 or 11 fries in a small plate. My partner got a chicken sandwich and it was good. Now, the kids got kids burger which comes with fries too and I swear the kids plate had double the fries compared to my side. We also got kids pasta and it was the same size as someone's pasta from our party. I mean, great value for kids menu items, sure, but I'm just not sure why adult dishes are so slim compared to kids. When they brought the check we noticed two items in it that we didn't order, which we realized after paying for it and looking at the receipt (they use portable terminals and have an option to text you the receipt). Our server corrected the mistake and refunded the difference for the two items we didn't order promptly after we pointed it out but this still left a bad aftertaste for us; we don't always look at receipts and this one would've gone unnoticed for sure, we only looked because total seems a bit too high. I also noticed that the soup upcharge on the menu is $2, but on the check it was $3. Pointed it out to the server too but she didn't do anything about it.
