I hired them on May 2, 2025, for full tree removal and yard cleanup, which they explicitly quoted and verbally confirmed would include: * Removal of 4 dead trees (2 front, 2 back) * Stump removal * Weed clearance across the entire property * Removal of a back bush * Trimming of rot on cactus arms to prevent it from spreading What did I actually get for the $1,200 I paid? A rushed removal of two front trees and one small tree in the back -- and that's it. The stumps were untouched, weeds left to grow and spread, the cactus was ignored, and the bush remains in place. The dead cactus arms they neglected to remove have now rotted, meaning I'll have to pay an additional $600 to remove the entire cactus -- a direct result of their negligence. After this discovery, I tried to reach them the very next day. Text undelivered. Calls ignored. They changed their number and vanished. He quoted a simple interior wall fabrication to my horse tack room, showed up for one day, took $1000 in cash for "starting" partially completed work (using my air compressor for his nail gun and my lumber), and left a mess of spray foam crack sealer on my patio furniture and exterior walls, and wood scraps everywhere. He abandoned the job and in several text messages agreed to a partial refund and to "clean up the mess." He is no longer responding to texts and has not delivered on his promises. they got right back to me with a quote, and i got an appointment within a couple of days. A crew of 5 showed up and each one had a specific duty so it took a shorter time then i thought it would. they explained to me some plants that needed attention and my palms look great. i had a picture of what i wanted my pineapple palm trees to look like and they came out better than i expected. i will definitely be using them again. they cleaned up all debris even blew off the driveway where some flew. read more

The work was good, so the positive review. I have to say the communication, however, was not quite as stellar. First, when I asked for an estimate, they did give me one, but then started the work the same day. The problem is that I hadn't authorized the work yet. When I finally did authorize the work, they came a little later than scheduled (not a huge deal for me), but we agreed payment would be done by EFT. But then, the next day, I started getting calls & texts about getting them payment. I had to take time out of my schedule to meet with them to pay. Again, wouldn't have been a big deal if the communication had been right upfront, but it wasn't so I had to rearrange my day. If the communication would have been better upfront, this would probably have been a 5 star review. But since the work was good, but the logistics were not, it's a one-star loss. read more

I contacted Tree Monkeys to trim palm trees and their rep told me he would start Tuesday morning at 8am. I waited for him and texted him until 8:30 with no response, then left for work. I wanted to make sure my dogs were kept in the house and to meet him to make sure he trimmed the right trees and the way I wanted them trimmed. He texted me about 10:30 with more questions but I have meetings to go to and tell him I'm not prepared for him to do the work today because he didn't show up on time at 8. When I get out of the meetings at 12:30, he's already texted that he's completed trimming and he wants more per tree than he quoted me. I arrived home that evening around 7pm. Not only did he NOT trim the trees how I wanted--i wanted them trimmed more like an umbrella and NOT like a carrot--but he blocked my doggy door and didn't unblock it, so my dogs weren't able to get outside to do their business. Wednesday morning, July 4 (a holiday!) the owner shows up at 8am to collect. I read him the riot act about over-trimming the trees, locking my dogs in the house, doing the work when I told them not to, showing up late and trying to charge me more than originally quoted. We got three quotes to remove a tree from our front yard. Tree Monkey came back with the lowest price. When we were ready to set the appointment, the came the next day. Four guys showed up and it took them about 2 hours, from start to finish. This included included cleaning up the yard and the street after. The workers were very friendly amd came across as knowledgeable in what they were doing. The completed job far exceded our expectations! I would recommend them to anyone. read more

BEWARE! I would NOT recommend using Joe with Tree Monkeys. He told me he was licensed and all that, but I checking now with the state, he isn't. Joe did not finish the job we paid him to do, scheduled multiple times for him to come and doesn't show up. He no longer answers phone calls or texts from me. I connected him with other jobs on my block which he got, served his workers snacks/drinks and offered them to come inside out of the heat. I thought we had a good working relationship. These guys were wonderful. We contacted Joe for a estimate and he was over the next morning. Today we called him at about 1:00 to approve and schedule the work.He told us he would be over around 2:30.He showed up with a full crew and went right to work.We were very surprised.He completely removed two trees,removed 3 stumps and trimmed 3 trees for us in under 2 hours.
