I had 5 trees to be removed; 3 large trees and 2 smaller ones. 2 of the large trees were close to the house, fence and on-ground AC. I called several tree removal companies. Ed showed-up the same day I called, accessed the job and provided a written bid. Ed & crew returned that week with all equipment that was needed to properly remove the trees. There's another review posted for Ed Montufar's business, and I also experience the same level of exceptional services as they did and reaffirm their experience with Montufar's Tree Service was same as mine: * Promptly showed-up, as scheduled, with a written paper estimate * Extremely reasonable pricing * Had all the proper equipment to do the job: bucket truck, ropes, chipper and stump grinder * Had all the personal gear for safety; appropriate clothing & boots, helmets, googles and gloves * They are INSURED and BONDED! On the 3 large trees, as they cut branches, they carefully lowered them to the ground, being mindful of the proximity of the house, fence and the ground AC unit. They protected the AC with a cardboard cover when using the stump grinder. I also had many large roots that had surfaced to the top of the ground and had become a tripping hazard. Ed cut & pick-axed them all out and leveled the ground area ... job extremely well done! I have 2-more trees that need to come down in the next couple of months and I absolutely will be calling Ed Montufar for the job! We used Montufar's Tree Service (Edwin) on 2 jobs over past several weeks. First was trimming/thinning several large Eucalyptus trees (both 30'-50' high) to reduce risk of falling or wind blowing over trees. Second was removal of a large Ficus (30' high with 25'+ spread and large trunk) encroaching on our house and garage. On both jobs, they provided very reasonable estimates (Eucalyptus trim much less than we paid in past), showed up when scheduled (3 man crew headed by Edwin, with large chipper and truck for haulaway), did work in a safe and professional manner, were very polite and courteous, and cleaned up thoroughly when done. On Ficus removal, I was concerned as tree canopy hung over multiple skylights and breakable Mexican roof tiles, however, they were very careful and did not cause any damage. My palo verdi tree was uprooted and down over night due to high winds and heavy rains. I called three different tree services, sent pics and asked for estimates to cut up and remove. Montufar's responded immediately and said they could come out and if I was happy with the price they could do it then. There price was in the ball park so I said yes. They were professional and very efficient and did a nice job cleaning up after they were done. The owner, Edwin explained the damaged roots to me and suggested what other trees I might plant in that spot in the future. They are based in Phoenix, AZ and we live all the way out in Maricopa, AZ but they still came out to help with our trees before monsoon season! Montufar's tree service was great, they were ON TIME which is important to me, they worked fast and accurately and were very knowledgeable. We had our giant mesquite trees trimmed out front, now they look great and we can see our house from the street again! Great prices quality work and they can do just about anything tree related. Edwin and his crew did an outstanding job! Three medium palm trees and a large palo verde removed and all the stumps ground below grade, debris removed, and area blown out afterwards. Very professional, shows up on time and works quickly. This is the second job I have used them for and I HIGHLY recommend. The first job was a routine fan palm trimming (about 30' high). For many years I've had several different tree services, and nobody was able to take care of the trees as skillfully and professionally as Edwin and his team. We had a lot of branches on the trees and he was able to relieve it from extra weight and debris. They just trimmed a 50 year old olive tree that hadn't been trimmed in 2 or 3 years - it was a mess. They did a terrific job with the trimming, the clean-up was great, and the crew was pleasant and helpful. As a matter of fact, a neighbor came to talk to them while at my house, and when they were done with me, they went to work on his tree. I would recommend them highly. read more

Montufar's tree Service is the one of the Best companies I have dealt with they text back tell you what time they're going to be there and they are there. And when they leave the most greatest looking and cleanest jobs you can get. The only downside for us that we will not be able to use them again because we are moving to Lake Havasu. My palm trees got hit by lightning and caught fire so i had to have them cut down. These guys came when they said they were, cut down a 40ft palm and two 15ft palms, hauled everything away and cleaned up after. They did a great job for a for a great price. read more
