I stopped by on a whim, as I love good vegetarian Indian food. I saw that they have unlimited thali in a rotating schedule and said why not. I was the only person in the restaurant at 6:30 on a Friday and within twenty minutes there must've been 30 people sitting around me. The thali was filled with a plethora or different curries, breads, rice and desserts. The staff was very pleasant as they constantly circulated to see what I might want a refill of on my plate. As I checked out the manager, maybe the owner, showed me the sweets that they have behind the counter and he generously helped me to make my selections and invited me to come back when the new menu is introduced in three weeks. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious varied meal with great atmosphere and lovely staff. 10 out of 10!
Ambiance: We went back to this place after a year. Great ambiance no change since my last visit, very clean and organized. Service was great! Food: We went on a Saturday for Agra thali. Puri and chapathi were fresh and so was the kabab. Only concern this time is, the curries felt watered down especially dal and chole. Raitha and salad was really good. Khichdi was at there usual best. If not for the watered down curry texture, this place will be a solid hit. Also, in the Aloo curry potato was under cooked. Parking: There is ample parking in the shared parking lot.
An Indian restaurant with a wow factor! The outside looks plain, but once inside the restaurant, it's a whole different vibe. The decoration gives off upscale/ bougie vibes...I mean, look at the chairs and decor on the wall!! There is a sink outside the bathrooms for hand-washing before/after eating...this is very common in India. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained. They serve a specific (fixed) Thali each day (vegetarian only, 49.98 for 2 people). Saturday is the "Weekend Agra Thali Special". There aren't any other food options available besides the daily special. I personally am used to spicy South Indian food and typical/common North Indian curries, so most of these curries/flavors were new to me and a little bland (they all tasted the same). I can't say that I loved anything in particular, but I requested refills on the paneer masala, samosa and poori. The rice was a little dry or under-cooked. Luckily, it wasn't busy when we arrived, we were seated immediately. Upon seating, they tell us which thali is available and ask if we want lassi/juice, then bring the trays out with everything already "plated". This was very much like a typical Thali in India in that they continuously refill any item on the tray upon request. I loved the presentation. The staff were very attentive and nice. We didn't have to wait or motion to them, instead, they came around and asked if we needed any refills. They add a 15% gratuity to the check when paying. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant, shared by neighboring businesses. Would I return? Most likely not only because I prefer Indian buffets where I can choose my own items and know what I'm selecting.
An excellent vegetarian restaurant with an extremely unique and delicious concept. It's less than 10 minutes from Dulles Airport, so also a great spot to get a hearty, delicious, reasonably priced meal before a flight. I recently went to Jodhpur for a weekend dinner with a friend and we were seated immediately (Jodhpur doesn't take reservations). Other than drinks, Jodhpur only serves a rotating, all-you-can eat thali of the day with a set price, including gratuity (which is clearly indicated on the website and menu). We had excellent service, with servers coming by every 2-3 minutes offering refills for various items. As seen in the picture below, there were eight main dishes, rice, salad, chutneys, two desserts, and three different kinds of bread/crackers (papadam, poori, and chapatis). Most things were delicious, especially the lentil and okra dishes, the breads, tamarind chutney, and gulab jamun. Because of the concept, you can always get more of the things you like and not have to worry about getting enough to eat. I highly recommend Jodhpur and can't wait to go back!
Wow this restaurant was amazing!! Absolutely deserving of 5 stars. You just walk in as they don't take reservations, but on a Saturday night if you go a little early to beat the dinner rush it wasn't too busy. You can check their website prior to going to see which day's Thali menu you like the best. I can comment on the Saturday menu and it was so delicious! Every curry was excellent and the puri and fried appetizers were delicious. It is all you can eat and they come around with more to replenish your food. You never have to wait too long for more food and the food was so authentic and a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Yes the food is pretty good, authentic and tastes like "ghar ka khana" (home made cooking) in some instances. However, despite what their website says it does not appear to be truly "unlimited"--they're website states the following: "Each thali is a celebration of our rich culinary heritage. Our goal is for our unlimited thalis to transport you to the nostalgic, warm embrace of Nani or Dadi's (grandma) house- where we insist on feeding you until you are full. At Jodhpur, hospitality is not just a tradition, it is a commitment to treating you like royalty. ". We've eaten there twice now, this second time even though we politely asked for refills several times they acknowledged our request but did not fulfill it. Initially they did offer us refills but by no means was it unlimited on our own terms. Expect good food but certainly not the treatment of your Daadi or Naani!!
Awesome vegetarian (no egg) and Indian-approved Indian food!!! I reside in Baltimore city and we drove all the way for this restaurant and we weren't disappointed! Food ain't too spicy for me (a Cantonese) and everything is yummy! I keep thinking about coming back again! (Literally thinking about them at least three times a week) People are super nice and friendly. I bought some Indian sweets home as well and they were awesome and were cherished by my co-workers (from different parts of India). The only downside is their sticky floor. Anyhow I can't wait to visit them again

Coming from South India with a preference for spicy food, we were initially hesitant, expecting the dishes to be either sweet or not spicy enough. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the curries had a mild spice and were quite tasty. The poori, though, was a bit thick and doughy, while the chapati was nicely done. The highlight for us was the gulab jamun, which was absolutely delicious. They also served two rice varieties, jeera rice and kichidi, both of which complemented the meal well. The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff making sure we had everything we needed. The ambience was another standout feature, with great indoor decor that created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Overall, offers a delightful dining experience with a nice blend of flavors that caters well to those with a preference for mild spice.
They have a fixed menu and we had the opportunity to try the Agra thaali - I was so thrilled to dine here. Visiting from Denver, we don't have a lot of Indian food options and dining Jodhpur was very satisfying. Everything was amazing, I had been craving real pethas for over 6 months and I had over 10 pethas (not even joking), they were soo good! Their lassi was amazing! The owner kept checking on us. I highly recommend trying this place. I wish Denver had such amazing options!
Came here super excited to try the thaali experience as friends and family had raved about it. Unfortunately, we were left disappointed - the quality of both the food and service seems to have plummeted in the past year. First of all, the "Agra" thaali that was the only available on the night we went had dhokla, which is obviously a Gujarati item and not fitting the theme - which would have been fine, if all the items hadn't been somewhat disappointing. Paneer dish had no paneer, potato sabzi had no potato (only gravy in both - very stingy of the owners to skimp on paneer and potato). The raita was watery. Also, service was terrible. The servers walked around carrying trays to give the illusion of "unlimited" food but in reality skipped over our table multiple times even when asked to bring roti or rice, ignored us and stood around waiting. On top of this, the restaurant has added an automatic gratuity - which would have been fine if the service and food were decent - as well as a charge for having more than 5 people per table. Absolutely crazy! We will not return. Quality has gone down significantly and it seems management is skimping on items instead of focusing on the experience.
I was really interested to go to Jodhpur because of how beautiful the plates looked. Also, I was intrigued by the fact that this would be a different type of Indian cuisine and went with a friend who is of Indian descent. I think the place is okay to check out if you want an educational experience. But the fact of the matter is, the food just doesn't taste as good as some of the other Indian restaurants. The daal just doesn't taste as good and the flavors simply don't pop. I am giving it a 4 because I realize that there is so much potential for this place between the decor and all the other "software". But overall, I don't think I would be back in the near future.
Service was great and very fast. They constantly kept bringing food and filling up our thali every time!! One of the person in our group was vegan and they made every attempt to make sure all the food that's served is vegan. Food itself was good, but I remember it being better on my previous visits. Really great bang for buck here as it's all you can eat! We came here for a Sunday brunch and it really is nice since they only offer one thing so you don't really have to think about what to order! I believe that the menu changes slightly every day so you can continuously come back and get variety. The interior is really nicely decorated with images of the blue city (jodhpur) It was fun to see what everyone's favorites were. You can check on their website as to what the offerings are that day. Everyone receives the big platter filled with food (all items are vegetarian!) We went on a Sunday so we got the Purani Dilli Thali. All the dishes were so delicious, my favorites were the paneer, the yogurt and the chutneys. The rotis and the poori were always brought out warm and they were so fluffy. The staff are really attentive and bring refills often! At some point I felt bad saying no bc I was so stuffed haha
Our friends love this place and we finally tried it ourselves last evening. Absolutely delicious assortment of Rajasthani food in one big platter. It's all you can eat. There's a lot of different vegetarian food in this Thali. I haven't had the North Indian food forever. Glad I went there as I was able to try many items. I don't think I could a single item as my favorite as everything was very delicious. I got puri and roti to start my meal. It went so well with various curries in the platter (palak paneer, paneer masala, Chana masala, vegetable curry), the simple bowl of daal tadka went so well with the jeera rice. They also have kitchdi, so do not forget to ask for their Kitchdi. It's so good. Kitchdi is a lentil rice mix with lots of cumin. It's one of the comforting foods in north India. The ambiance was great as well. The manager just informed us they are going to start offering some South Indian food starting December 2025. I am stoked. Highly recommend this place. read more
You will get a thali filled with different vegetarian Indian curries like dal, paneer, okra, kadi, and bread. The servers will come to you asking if you need any refills of the curries or if you need another bread. You can have unlimited amounts of food here. They also have a few sweet dishes like kheer and gulab jamun. I have heard that the meetha paan here is good. They ran out of those, so I couldn't taste it. They have a lot of Indian sweets like Kaju Katli, Ladoo, etc. The atmosphere is good. It is not so noisy. read more

Jodhpur offers a unique no-holds-barred experience for authentic dining. Come ready to be fed to the brim! The service was great. Ambience is upscale. The venue is spacious. The food is tasty, fresh and simple. I once went with my mom and then took the whole gang including my SO and kids. We all and a good time. They generously allow kids 5 and under to dine free. That makes sense given my little one doesn't each much and is picky. I take one star away because day after day the food can get a bit repetitive. They also don't offer anything to drink with the food. Coming from the Bay Area scene where there's plenty such offerings, a chaas/ chai or aam panna would be awesome! I'll keep jodhpur for a special occasion and will continue to visit! read more

Our party of 6 stopped by Jodhpur this past Wednesday evening and enjoyed the AGRA SPECIAL THALI that is served on Wednesdays & Saturdays. We loved that it was AYCE (and we paid less than 30 after tip and tax). I normally eat meat with my meals, but loved that Jodhpur is vegetarian only and I was more than satisfied with the food and flavors here. They give you a huge platter which has small dishes and bowls of all the items. There's also carbs like rice, papad, poori and roti to enjoy the dishes with. It would be too difficult to list out everything I tried, but I will highly a few items that stood out to me: * KHICHDI (a soupy, stew like dish made with rice and lentils) - I really liked the creamy texture and the hearty flavors that comes after every bite. I got multiple servings of this. * CHANA MASALA - I liked the texture of chickpeas, the spices that was used to make this curry. Super flavorful and a nice classic. * PANEER MAKHANWALA - I really liked the tangy flavors of the curry (made from tomatoes and cashews, I think?). I didn't think too much about the paneer which was just OK but the curry was fantastic. * GUJARATI KHAMAN - I liked how soft and bouncy the texture of this was, and every bite oozed with coconut flavors. I got multiple of these. * HARYALI TIKKI - These pasties were delicious, savory and flavorful. I ate at least three of them. * SUBZ MILAUNI - Creamy green curry/gravy made of spinach with kernels of corn mixed in. Nicely savory, spiced and one of my favorites. Honestly, anything that was savory was great. The sweet options were usually too sweet for me. Our entire table ate really well and were very full and satisfied by the end of our meal. The servers come around really often with refills which is nice. I never felt like I was waiting around for more food because they were quite on top of it. One of my friends who has been here a couple times says the PURANI DILLI THALI (Thursdays & Sundays) is his favorite so far. Despite the far distance to Herndon from where I live, I wouldn't mind making the drive to Jodhpur to try all three of the thalis that they have. read more
Tried this spot on Sunday and got the Rajasthani thali! It was delicious and the unlimited food was delicious. There were all different types of foods to try. The place is beautiful and clean. The servers were helpful and consistent. Overall, great experience. The concept of this restaurant is great and would come back to try a different thali! read more

A great place to eat vegetarian thali. I have first experience in usa which is close to Rajdhani in india. All items were very well cooked and spices were well balanced. We all had great time here and were satisfied with food options. A must try and truly a delight for vegetarian people. read more
This was my first experience with Thali, and also visiting the Jodhpur. It honestly helps this is my culture (more or less), so the North Indian cuisine is right up my alley. I drove down here Sunday, with family and sister. This spot is right off the main road -- Herndon Parkway, hey! I literally swing by here all the time. There's sufficient parking out front due to a rather massive parking lot, that should have you covered by a long shot. As we came on a Sunday, the type of Thali -- three dishes rotating on a two-day basis -- was fixed. It was the Purani Dilli Thali, singing to us as we walked in the hallowed (and rather cramped) anteroom. Waiting time was easily over an hour, or so it felt like. A lone cushioned bench inside, seating three at most; otherwise, you're best to stand around. The space in the entranceway is sparse and conducive to crowding, and the hallway is most decidedly narrow. A useful tip, there is a sink outside the restrooms to wash your hands. Two trips are customary I feel -- before and following the food. After a long wait, we got seated. The servers were well-mannered and attentive all throughout. The Thali was a near-masterpiece, and the vegetarian curries like those multi-colored palettes that painters are quite fond of. Poori was really good, the Roti to a lesser extent. The Rice was decent when mixed with the Chole (chickpeas) or other curries. Too many choices, too many varieties of curries. Two sweet dishes -- including Gulab Jamun, a to-die-for cornerstone of Indian sweets, and one of my personal favorites. Sweet (red) and spicy (green) sauce sprinkled on the plate. Curds or yogurt as a finisher and palate cleanser. Overall, the variety and (great) service won me over, even though I ultimately found the taste to be lacking. Some curries I liked more than others. None of them high points, but the abundance of flavor and the sweet, savory victory of Jamun left my tongue singing by the end. Overall, great experience with trying Thali for the first time ever. Recommend if you're in the area, likewise on an empty stomach, and looking for an epic (North) Indian buffet-style cuisine -- featuring Thali to boot. 5/5! Absolutely had a great time here at Jodhpur! Decided to try this place out with a few friends of mine, and we can happily say, we loved our experience here! From the nice decor, the staff and the authentic Indian food, it was amazing. The Food: For the food, it is a "set style buffet". You get a huge plate with an assortment of vegetarian dishes, and when you want more, you just have the staff refill whatever you like! There were plenty of lentils, curry, roti and more dishes that I can't name off the top of my head. But everything was delicious! The plate had a mix of options that had savory options to sweet dessert options. The Service: The service was incredible. All of the staff members were kind and they were always bringing out food for any refills you liked. The Atmosphere: The restaurant was nicely decorated. Very bright, clean and had the authentic feel. Overall, a 5/5! Well deserved from the kind staff and service. The food was delicious and each day has a different style of food options. Went for lunch Friday and enjoyed the experience. First time having thali. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The staff is continuously refilling any and all dishes that you request. Some of the curries were quite spicy, so we would switch to the chopped cucumber or yogurt to cook our palate. The only reason I deducted a star was because we asked several people the best way to approach the large variety they served. Maybe it was a language issue, but we felt no one gave us guidance we fully understood. Probably more our fault than theirs. They automatically add a 15% gratuity, but they have signs at every table, so they are totally transparent about it. Everyone is incredibly nice and the owners (?) walk around to each table to ensure you're enjoying your meal. Will definitely try this experience again. It was fun and delicious. read more

After returning from an international trip, my family and I drove ten minutes from Dulles to Jodhpur, a top-rated north Indian restaurant in a strip mall. Park in the lot in front and walk in to see the space decorated with pink tiger wallpaper in the bathroom, a neon pink sign over a pink couch, and hanging gems from the ceiling and walls. Our host led us to our table and explained there's one set buffet-style vegetarian dinner brought to your table for around $25 an adult and $15 per child. For the next hour, curries, lentils, and other tasty dishes were brought to our table with roti, desserts, etc. Everything tasted great! Service is kind and attentive and we never once had to ask for food. It just kept coming! read more

The place was open thanksgiving and went for lunch. Had the Purana Dilli Thali. The food and flavors were unique to my South Indian palate. All the sides were good. Their Gulab Jamoon was amazing. One of the best. They do not have a conventional menu. It's either thali or nothing. The place was buzzing and a tad bit loud. They do not have reservations so make sure to wait for a few minutes on weekends. read more
My new favorite place. I've been vegetarian most of my life, and finding fully veg places always makes things so much easier. With their preset Thali, it also takes away all the challenges of deciding what to eat. They don't take reservations, but we only waited about 15 minutes on a busy afternoon. The service was absolutely fantastic. Our plates and cups were always full, and the food was surprisingly hot. Everything was super tasty and flavorful and I like the diversity across the dishes. Good level of spice and heat. The restaurant itself is surprisingly cute inside and just overall a really great experience. Can't wait to go back. read more

Whenever we go on a road trip via Virginia, we always plan the timing so we can eat lunch or dinner at Jodhpur. The food, the ambiance, and the service everything is just perfect. They have different thali options during the week, and this restaurant is a must-try! I wish we had one in Raleigh. I hope the owners are listening. Please please open one in the Cary/Apex/Morrisville area. read more
It was not a great experience. We were the first to arrive and sat for a good 10-12 mins before our Thali's arrived. The wait staff is mostly Hispanic and can't answer any questions about the food e.g. I asked if I could get a phulka and they didn't know what I was talking about. The rice in the first serving was stale and hard, and I had to spit it out, but the second serving seemed fresher. The ambience is decent but given the high price and average food quality I can't recommend this place. read more

I had an amazing experience dining at Jodhpur. This was my second visit and was not disappointed this time either. It has a set style menu in a rotating format for every week. The food is served in huge 'thalis' with assortments of vegetarian delicacies, also with unlimited refills. All servers were very attentive and made it a point to check if we needed refills frequently making the service incredible. Overall an excellent experience, so far I've tried the Dal Bati Churma Special and Bhedmi Poori Subzi Special. Soon planning my next visit to taste the Poori Choley Special (Purani Dilli Thali)! read more

This place is absolutely fantastic. It's Thali style so you get food immediately after you sit down. They have a set menu for the day, but they change the curries on a daily basis. One of the best North Indian Unlimited Thali I ever had in the east coast. We tried their Agra Special Thali and all of the items taste very good. The service is exceptional the ambience is great and we can even take picture with the Rajasthani Pakidi.. the kids also enjoyed the lunch.. highly recommend this place if you would like to try Thali's. read more

Are there any meat options?
Can gluten free be accommodated? I know some dishes will have gluten in them but can the kitchen prepare a thali with just the non gluten items?
