We used Silver Spoon to cater breakfast and dinner for our graduation party and informed them multiple times about the nut allergies in our house. Despite being reassured they would take them seriously, and their food would be safe to eat, dinner was delivered with a salad that had crushed walnuts on top and orzo pasta that had pine nuts pesto (which we were only told about after contacting to complain about the walnuts). This could have been a fatal mistake on their part and we were lucky our nut-allergic son did not eat the food. Upon finding the allergens we promptly threw the food away and questioned the safety of the other dishes. This celebratory event could have turned tragic in a heartbeat and I don't believe Silver Spoon understands the severity of the situation. We never received an explanation as to how something so dangerous could have happened, especially in today's day of food allergy awareness. We are truly disappointed because I know businesses can properly handle food allergies; this is not one of them. read more

Thank you to Audrey and her talented team for a great event. We hosted my dad's retirement party October 4 and chose Audrey for several reasons. She was extremely responsive, was creative in coming up with a menu that would work for a large group and was able to accommodate several of my guests' dietary restrictions (GF/DF). Doing any party can be complicated, but during COVID is especially complicated and Audrey's team accommodated the restrictions very well with masks and gloves and served the food for the guests. The food was fantastic, the guests were very complimentary of the menu, the quality of the food and the servers was top notch. She is also very accommodating in menu requests, just ask and she can most likely fulfill your need. DO NOT MISS her "To Die For Cookie Tray" it is just that. The entire process of finding a caterer for a group of 150 people in two weeks was as smooth as one of the Silver Spoon's delicious miniature desert parfaits, which were also served with a cute little silver spoon. I needed catering for an upscale reception and called The Silver Spoon. Audrey came up with an incredibly tasty trio of entrees, salads, extraordinary appetizers, breads and desserts in a snap. I've been using Silver Spoon Caterers since 2005 and honestly, they are the most friendly, prompt and delicious service I've ever used. I've changed jobs/offices and they have gone the distance (plus a delivery charge as expected) and the food is consistent and delicious. Plus, the driver (Carl) is quite possibly one of the nicest and friendliest guys around. He's always asking how I'm doing and how things are going and he's always very professional and courteous. Such an awesome nice guy. I can't say enough lovely things about Audrey (the owner) of Silver Spoon. There's a reason I've been using them for so long and I refuse to use anyone else. Family owned businesses with strong work ethics and excellent quality is indeed an extremely rare quality to have nowadays. If I wanted to just get anything for lunch and didn't care about the food that was going into my body, I would get something crappy like Jasons Deli. However, I care about quality and getting food from a company with good values and professionalism so I choose Silver Spoon. Also, every time I order and someone who's never eaten their food before tries it, they love it. Today we had their paninis delivered with their beautifully chopped garden salad, chips and their AMAZING cookies and the President of my company loved it. That's what's also great about Silver Spoon is that they have such a huge variety of choices, that you could order something different from them every day and people will think you're ordering from different restaurants every day. It's diverse but most importantly, it's DELICIOUS! I've already told them that if I ever get married, they are absolutely going to do my wedding because if one of my friends didnt' like the food, then that person is no longer my friend. I am responsible for catering business meetings at my place of employment, and Silver Spoon has been one of my go to options for the past few years. They are always extremely responsive via e-mail and can often accommodate my last minute requests. We typically order sandwiches or wraps, side salads, house made chips and desserts. The food has always been good, and the house made chips are a big favorite around here! They always label the sandwiches and wraps, which I appreciate. Delivery is timely and the prices are reasonable and comparable to other catering services we've used. The only downside is that plates and silverware are not included, so we always pass on those to save the extra cost. Overall, I've been very happy with this vendor. read more

We went to Silver Spoon in a panic, two weeks before a 70-person event. Two other caterers with whom we had started dialogue (and one we were ready to sign a contract with), stopped emailing. Audrey to the rescue! She was pleasant to deal with, adjusted the menu based upon budget, made suggestions, and supplied a 'runner' who made sure everything went smoothly. We received nothing but raves over the food. Although there were those with restricted diets in attendance (gluten-sensitive and vegans/vegetarians), everyone was pleased with the offerings. These guys put on an absolutely fabulous event for my office last night! Looking for a new catering company, after we reviewed this menu, what sold us completely was the Mac and cheese cup appetizer. Orzo Mac and cheese on homemade mini cornbread cups- that just sounded like an waxing dish and it did not disappoint! The Mac and cheese was creamy, had a hint of chive flavor, and the cornbread wasn't dried out and flavorful as well. The Caribbean chicken skewers- chicken marinated in Caribbean spices with pineapple and red bell pepper- were phenomenal and not overly spicy which was perfect for this crowd! The chicken tikka masala skewer on the menu sounded amazing too, but unfortunately my vote was vetoed here. The mini crab cake was the perfect bite sized app and was little filler with a great lemon-aioli sauce on top. The shrimp skewers- garlic marinated shrimp- were also a big hit! The cheese and fruit platters with Brie and blue cheese were beautifully presented and the dessert was delicious! I loved the Oreo brownies but the mint were a close second! The event staff were super helpful and so sweet! The prices were more than reasonable too. We all agreed we will use this caterer in the future! read more

This company is amazing. I used to be in the catering business and now back in the corporate world, but they know what they are doing. From ease of ordering (thanks Liz) to the delivery people to the wonderful food. I have now ordered from them twice in one week and they will be my go-to choice moving forward. Silver Spoon catered our prom the other night and I am BLOWN AWAY. Liz Harris is an angel! I had never planned an event before, and she was so helpful and kind. She was always quick to respond and put together the perfect menu! The prices were fantastic and the food was so good! Not only did the food taste great, but it was so beautiful. We decided to use this one as they were very responsive and extremely helpful in deciding the event details. The service provided was exceptional and we were very pleased!
