I've been supporting this store since Covid. Bought all my groceries there. Buy Christmas gifts there. Today. The day before Thanksgiving I was met by a glum face. Asked for more cocktail sauce to go with my $28 shrimp cocktail. Was told no. I even asked the blonde at the desk if she was tired because she was so unwelcoming. I tried to eat the shrimp in my car. It tasted off. Really salty. I tried to give my dogs some of the shrimp in the car and piece after piece they spit it out. I tried to return it and was told I ate 6 pieces and there would be no refund with a total scowl on her face. I've spent thousands of $ at this place with no regard to that. Despite the poor quality of the food lately, being treated that way over the holiday was awful. I'll never go back and suggest you don't either. read more

I spoke with Christine from Bluewater Kitchen and really wanted to book them for my wedding this year. The communication to set up time to discuss details took weeks. When we finally had the chance to connect, Christine said that she would reach out to me with an initial proposal based on what we've discussed within 2 weeks. Well, a month went by and after multiple follow ups and no proposal was sent, I decided to book another caterer. It was funny because I specifically remember during our call, Christine had even made a comment that she has not worked at my wedding venue probably because they were probably "too expensive" for some people. I honestly think it's their lack of communication and their inability to follow up because if one can't communicate well planning wise, how can a potential client see them being able to handle a whole wedding? My fiance and I set aside a huge budget for food as it was so important to us for our guest to have exquisite food and we would have definitely book them regardless of cost, but unfortunately, Bluewater missed out. I totally understand having a busy season, but there were multiple people from Bluewater Kitchen CC'd on the emails that I had sent, and no one responded. Other vendors that were booked for my wedding also had a busy season but I had no problems working with them around that. I'm a patient person so if someone had responded and said that they are in the middle of busy season and that they would follow up with me (and actually follow up) afterwards, I would have totally fine with it. I would not recommend them to friends or family unfortunately. Hopefully, they figure out a better process around this. read more

Delicious food - and an overall excellent experience for our 4/30/22 wedding (that we waiting 2.5 years for). Bluewater Kitchen is an incredible caterer! The food is second-to-none, and incredibly plated, perfectly made. The staff was fantastic and very attentive to our vision, ensuring every aspect was covered. Outstanding chef and caterers. We used Chef Michael for a five course dinner at our facility, for twelve guests (VIPs from DC). Everything had to be perfect! Michael sourced entirely from local farms and producers, and the food was absolutely outstanding! Jamie and Christina and the other staff acted as servers, and handled all the place settings. They did such a beautiful job and our guests really felt pampered the whole evening. Just as importantly, when all was done, everything was cleaned up. I didn't have to fuss with anything! Bluewater Kitchen exceeded all of our expectations and more. The food was incredible (many of our guests commented that it was one of the best wedding dinners they ever had), to include an amazing croquembouche dessert (one guest had 12 profiteroles, and I'm pretty sure the average was 5). They use local, fresh ingredients, which matched our venue perfectly. As our wedding coordinator, Christina was first class. She was with us every step of the way, was so accommodating, and held everything together for us on the big day. Our friends and family commented on how impressed they were with her attentiveness. Hiring Bluewater Kitchen was definitely one of the best wedding planning decisions we made! The food was phenomenal and looked beautiful too. We had many guests tell us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I loved that everything was locally sourced and so fresh! Bluewater even created a "crêpe cake" and adorable crêpe station in lieu of a regular wedding cake at our request, and it was such a hit! Working with Christina was such a gift, as she went above and beyond, contributing so much more to our wedding day than I would have expected from a day-of planner. We just hosted the wedding of our second daughter and had Bluewater Kitchen as our caterers. Chef Michael and his wife Christina were outstanding. Before making our decision, Chef Michael had my mom, sister and I out for a tasting. The table was elegantly set, with a menu designed as if it were for the reception. The food was locally sourced and superbly cooked. I have to say we had decided to use them even before the food came out due to their exquisite presentation. Once we tasted everything, it was a done deal! By the date of the wedding, we all felt like they had become part of our family. Both Chef Michael and Christina made themselves available to me through out the wedding process, even giving me a countdown towards the end to make sure I had everything I needed. They supplied everything from service, to additional decorations. I felt that I had not only hired a caterer, but also a wedding planner for the day as Christina made events during the wedding reception seamless. The wait staff was also remarkable, with bartenders who chatted a dealt with guests all night, to service personnel who unobtrusively cleared plates and refilled drinks for all our guests.
