This is the best hair salon in Gwinnett County by far, and I would dare to say one of the best in the entire Metro Atlanta. Joanie has been cutting my hair for years now, and I wouldn't trust my head to any other. I constantly get complements on my hair cut and my color not only here in Atlanta but also across the country (and even across the globe). Even on vacation, folks have remarked on my cut and color. Since Joanie is such a talented person, her shop does stay busy, so I book my appointments well in advance. If I ever need to adjust my appointment, Joanie is very accommodating and will try to work me in, even if that means she has to come in on a day off to make it happen. There is a waiting list for first-available appointments - and I have utilized this option and within 2 or 3 days was notified of an available appointment slot and I was able to come in and have my hair done. Her salon also takes walk-ins, but only if she has a stylist freed up and can accommodate the client. Walk-ins needs to keep in mind that this is a professional salon and not a SuperCuts. read more

This salon is fantastic! As a man who never knew what a difference a haircut can make - I've seen the light. I first tried Joanie parker Hair Studio 5 years ago and have had a great experience every time since. Joanie asked how I wanted my hair styled and all I'd ever thought was "shorter" but she knew how to take such minimal input and give me actual STYLE. I got compliments for 2 weeks and that felt so good. Thanks to Joanie and the whole staff for many great styles since then. The whole experience is first class, but very comfortable, for such high style. I'm always welcomed in a friendly and professional manor, offered refreshments, and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. The ambiance is unpretentious, well decorated, and clean. I always like having my hair washed pre-cut, but they even go the extra step by rinsing me again after to eliminate that annoying shedding you usually get after a haircut. That is Seriously Great Service! I have and will continue to recommend Joanie Parker to anyone who will listen! read more

I can't rave about this place enough. I needed a new salon to go to since I moved from where I used to live. I found Joanie Parker and called in, they were able to fit me in right away. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is wonderful. My hair was in pretty bad shape before the cut, but after the cut it's like I've had a transformation. My stylist Tori was amazing! She knew exactly what to do and did what I asked. Joanie even came by and talked to me for a bit. I felt very invited. My hair looks amazing. People haven't stopped complimenting it. I think it's one of the best haircuts I've gotten. I would recommend this salon to everyone. They really know what they are doing. My stylist even told me that they go to classes to keep up with styles and techniques. Joanie has been cutting hair for 30 years. She really knows what she's doing and I believe she has really found some of the best stylists to work with her. If you need a cut of any kind, I would recommend this place! read more

I love to have my hair done at Joanie Parker's Hair Studio! From the moment I walk in, I feel like I am part of a family. Whoever is at the desk makes me feel welcome. Whoever does my hair is attentive and listens to what I want. My teenage daughter and I have services by everyone who works there at one time or another and have never had a bad experience. Once, when my daughter was disappointed in her curls, they worked extra to make it right. Joanie teaches her employees that courtesy, integrity, and striving for pleasing the customer are priorities and it shows. The atmosphere is relaxing, yet fun. For my daughter and I, going to Joanie Parker Hair Studio is an enjoyable experience and we look forward to our appointments. And we always feel beautiful when we walk out! read more

Joanie Parker Hair Salon also has a boutique with fun clothes and jewelry. I always look forward to my appointment and I always receive compliments on my hair style. I wouldn't go anywhere else! I love going to Joanie's. I'm always made to feel at home as soon as I walk in the door. They even send you a friendly reminder email, text or phone call the day before your appointment, so I never miss mine. Kelly has been my stylist for years, she's AWESOME, but I would trust any other of the stylists if she weren't available for some reason. All the clients getting their hair done around the salon look beautiful when they are finished. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and talented stylists! read more

I have been going to Joanie's since June and never had a problem. Each time was an appointment which I got an email to confirm along with a text. Silly but I look forward to them. If I had any questions they were answered in the email. On appointment day, it is always smooth and seamless. I have a wonderful time and always feel special and beautiful when done. The staff is helpful and nice. I won't go anywhere else. I don't understand how anyone can be unhappy with Joanie's Hair Studio read more
