I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to say that Master Stylist Vivian, Lily, Anthony and Danielle all made my dream a reality. The photos show the absolutely CRAZY transformation of my hair under these skilled stylists. Instead of wanting to put a bag over my head, I am over the moon when I look in a mirror now. Vivian has been doing hair since the 1980s, and she is truly a GENIUS. She was careful, ensuring that the bleach did not fry my hair, and she had the best ideas. It was a long process, of course, but worth all of the hours in her chair. If you need a hair miracle or a color correction like I did, I HIGHLY recommend Vivian and her team at Salon Arcaro without any hesitation. She KNOWS her trade, and she's TRULY a Master of hair ‼

After consulting Yelp and checking out reviews (naturally), I settled on Borrelli's Salon - and I'm really glad I did. I was able to get an appointment within days and was matched with Toni as my stylist. She took time to ask really good questions about my preferences, asked to see some photos, consulted with me the entire time and I LOVE THE RESULTS! She took my really, really long hair to nearly chin length and it looks exactly like I wanted it to look but never thought it could. Because I seldom use products on my hair, she did the same (only a heat protectant) and took the time to show me exactly how she dried it for the best results. For once, I walked out of a salon feeling like I can replicate the results at home. They have excellent safety protocols in place, and I felt very comfortable during the entire visit. The staff was welcoming and friendly, Toni was amazing and I've already booked my next appointment.

I've gone there for 5+ years and never a bad experience. I'm not sure why I didn't write a rave review for Salon de la Vie before but I know why I am now. Another client told me about an outrageous customer who insulted the staff with totally disrespectful language in front of other customers then posted to Yelp. Hair can be emotional but so is making your livelihood by building an amazing business through positive word of mouth. This one 2nd hand review speaks to service that is the opposite of all that I have seen from Angie or the team. IF Angie were ever slightly rude, it must have taken a ton of abuse to provoke it. I'm not sure why someone would go somewhere they thought was overpriced to get a haircut they did not like 3x, before losing one's cool on the fourth. But the story made me think of this amazing article that I read called "Maybe You Get Bad Customer Service Because You Are a Bad Customer" by Matt Walsh. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/matt-walsh/bad-customer-service_b_3799574.html In this 'customer is always right" world, perhaps the problem is that there are too many "no star" customers.

The bathroom definitely needed some attention. The trash needed to be emptied and the entire space could have used a good cleaning. I understand that at the end of a busy day that may be the last thing anyone wants to tackle, but cleanliness still makes a big difference in the overall experience. The staff also felt pretty neutral. At many Madison Reed locations, I'm greeted warmly the second I walk through the door and immediately feel welcomed. I just didn't get that feeling here. The stylist doing my hair seemed a little rushed, and while I was processing, I stepped next door to grab dinner. When I returned, I learned she had an emergency and had to leave quickly, which I completely understand, but overall the experience still felt disconnected. Every Madison Reed location is different, and I've had some really wonderful experiences at others. This one just didn't have that warm, welcoming feeling I normally associate with the brand. For me, it was probably a one-and-done location. If I'm back in the area, I'd likely try a different Madison Reed.
