Ever since the first visit, I have been back multiple times to see the amazing Jess! Been changing up my hair with some cool and vivid colors, and she has delivered amazing results each and every time! The first time, I got some jewel tones on my face framing pieces and they were BEAUTIFUL. The most recent time, I got my hair indigo and a peekabo purple inspired by one of my favorite video game characters. Jess paid great attention to the accuracy and it came out AMAZING. I started w/Jaysie at Cosa early last year and was happy with her guidance and work relating to my 1st experience with hair extensions. She also offered fair pricing and seemed to try and keep costs down for me each time. Unfortunately, due to Jaysie being out, I was rescheduled with Franchesca. Although, my hair turned out fine, she price gouged me like crazy. She charged me $15 more than Jaysie for a base color touch up which is already high at $90. She charged me 1/2 price for foil highlights, but not one foil was put on my head. Instead she TOLD me that she was fixing a small spot in the back then wiped it off shortly after and charged me $75. She also TOLD me I needed a few more K-tips to get it to her liking. I agreed to that, but then was charged for 8! Each one at $25. She charged 3x the amount Jaysie charges for the extension lift and charged for a trim, although she only razored the front a bit to keep the face frame. The razoring was done in less than a minute and was not done evenly. I had such sticker shock that I didn't even process the over $900 tag until I got home. I then had an email exchange with Julie and she was basically like, oh well, that's what we charge. Won't be going back. Shame that Franchesca lost Jaysie a client. The prices have risen to over $400 for a 5 minute trim (but you get charged for a full, complex haircut), root highlight, and blow dry. Not sure if they have changed their hair dye products, but my hair suffered such extreme damage and breakage (it never had before), and they blame it on the client (and want to sell you more very expensive hair products to fix the damage). The owner's attitude has changed from customer friendly to surly and almost hostile at times - I've observed it with me and with other customers while in her shop. read more

So I can't even begin to describe how badly I messed up my hair trying to color it at home. It was bright orange. And in horrible, stringy, uneven, unhealthy shape. I found D'Allure through Google and after seeing Franchesca's work I knew she could help me. Thank God I found her! She fixed me in one visit. DO NOT GO TO SALON D'ALLURE! Almost 2 months ago I was badly burned at this Salon d' Allure. I had suffered over 4 thermal burns as a result of a negligent hairstylist who did not know what she was doing, although she was recommended to me by one of the front desk receptionists. After the stylist process was over I began to feel painful stings. She told me that she believed she had burned me and when I looked in the mirror I realized that she had. She tried apply Vaseline to the burn in hopes of fixing the problem, but the pain began to increase and now I was feeling it throughout my head. I left the salon not realizing the extent of the burns and also not realizing that there were more burns, not only on my face, but also my forehead, neck and throughout my scalp and they began darkening and swelling up. (Pain thresholds are known to vary from person to person! My doctor explained to me that because the heat was so high, I was unable to feel the burns right as they happened, but rather after the styling had ended.) I spoke to the owner of the salon over the phone since she was not at the salon at the time. At first, she did not believe me although the hairstylist knew and admitted she had burned me prior to leaving the salon as she tried to apply Vaseline to the burns on my face. I visited the urgent care facility because the burns began to darken and the pain increased. After I was examined by the doctor, he told me to immediately head to the E.R. in order to prevent any infection and to hopefully avoid permanent scarring. Unfortunately, some scarring still remains. The owner, after seeing the pictures apologized and emailed me saying that the salon would gladly reimburse me the hospital bill and I also sent over all other expenses relating to this incident (ointment to treat the burns as recommended by my doctor and so on). However, at this time Salon d' Allure not only refuses to pay for my medical expenses, but they have threatened legal action against me. My hospital bill is now due and Salon d'Allure is attempting to force me into paying for injuries THEY are responsible for. read more

Went to see Peter for a cut and color. I had gone to a salon school before and to say the cut was off and the color all wonky is to put it kindly. Peter took the time to correct it and make it look great. Not only that, he's fast. Finally, I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with Peter so the time wasn't painful/boring/never ending as it can sometimes be in Salons. If you need your hair done and are in the northern OTP, I highly recommend Peter. Just bring cash for the tips, the Salon doesn't accept them on credit cards (suck). read more

I originally scheduled an appointment with Francesca for a blowout on natural hair. I received email confirmation about two days prior to my appointment and the stylist was switched to Alicia. Being that it was my first time at the salon, I was fine either way but a call updating me on the switch would have been nice. I arrived at the salon about 10 minutes prior to my consultation/appointment. The receptionist was very nice and warm. I waited for about 5 minutes for Alicia to take me back to her station but she never did. The receptionist escorted me back and to my surprise, Alicia was flat ironing a client and had another one waiting to be flat ironed. I was scheduled for a consultation first and then a blow dry. Alicia did not stop flat ironing her current client to talk to me about the needs of my hair. She did not take my hair down to look at its state, she asked one of the assistants (Jessica, I believe - very nice woman) to shampoo me, put on a mask and put me under the dryer. Once I was finally in her chair (about an hour later), she blow dried my hair and proceeded to flat iron it. Once she was done, I noticed my hair was heavy and almost greasy; It barely even moved. I was so upset with my hair that I came home to wash out all of the product and restyled it myself. I would not recommend and I will not be returning. read more

I would honesty follow him where ever he went. I am lucky though because he works at one of the best salons I have ever been to. The facility is beautiful always clean and well stocked with everything that you could need. The staff is super friendly. You always feel welcome when you walk through the doors. This morning, after a self-imposed hair lightening catastrophe, I searched for a salon that had excellent reviews and stumbled upon Salon D'Allure. I called and asked if I could somehow be worked in with a stylist who could fix the worst hair disaster, hoping I could be seen before I had to go back to work in two days. Very thankfully, I was quickly worked into Alice's day. I had not even thought about what could possibly be done to remedy my mistake but luckily, Alice was up to the task and I cannot speak highly enough of the transformation that occurred when she was done. She took her time, explaining what she was doing as we went. I was ecstatic when I left with a brand new color with soft highlights and a great cut. Alice is absolutely fantastic! This is my first review! My stylist Alice definitely deserves 5 Star ++++ review. I moved to GA from CA about a year ago. I was very nervous about finding a new stylist to not only cut and style my hair but also do my keratin treatments. I took the plunge and had my first appointment with Alice about 9 month ago. It was by far the best hair cut/style and keratin treatment I have ever had done. Alice is an amazing stylist and definitely knows exactly how to do keratin treatments that last! Really had a great experience here!!! The facility is very nice and they seem to have a good array of friendly talent. I came in for a cut but also ended up doing a color correction to fix the results of my own at home dabbling and got some color added in. I like white hair, it's more of a tone than a color. Many stylist have not been able to get it right. I was in the capable hands of Harmony tho. She knew exactly what to do and took her time making sure the color was perfect. She was excited to help me choose colors and explore options. I appreciate that she took into account the wear and tear of certain colors in helping me pick something both practical but fun. She cut my hair including my bangs perfectly how I wanted, in a way that's flattering for my face. I was pleasantly surprised by Harmony's genuine, kind, good hearted nature and really enjoyed chatting with her about both mundane and deep stuff actually. Up until now I had not found a home salon and have been managing my color on my own bc I have had some bad experiences.... I am looking forward to coming back. Rosie was super sweet and nice, she absolutely nailed the look that I was going for. I got color and cut from her and it looks stunning. I have zero complains. This place is amazing, I can't belive it was right in my neighborhood! Since 1996, I have been searching websites, looking for a stylist who is a curly hair expert. I spent years, gas and cash driving to mid or downtown to get my naturally curly hair done. After missing my appointment by one minute at one of these midtown salons, I pulled this salon up on the web and saw a pic of my stylist Kelly. She was rockin' a head full of curls so I decided to give her a try. 1st, the salon is spacious, clean and elegant without looking stuffy or pretentious. I met Kelly who is professional, friendly and quite entertaining. She did an awesome job of examining my hair and listening to my concerns and desires while offering her feedback. The end result was a cut that I absolutely love. She knew exactly where to cut to give me the height and shape I was looking for. She is genius and artist all in one. Uptown/outside the Perimeter curly chicks need to save their toll money and time and come give Kelly a try. Be sure to call them 1st as they just moved about 1/2 a mile East of where they used to be.
