I came here in August of 2024 as our daughter had a hair fry out emergency and most of it had to be cut out. We came here for extensions as it had some good reviews. I obviously missed these help ones. I will go make more reviews on other sites after this one to hopefully inform others. Anyhow, we were obviously in a desperate state and we were taken advantage of. How so......well, the owner charged me $2000 for my daughter 2 rows of extensions. That was just for the hair! At the time we were new (which I told her) to extensions. This is where we were taken advantage of. Oh and that did not even include the install. When our extension came in it was $600 to install and then we were charged another $60 for a glaze because the extensions she ordered did not even match my daughter's hair. With tip the first appointment was almost $800. So now we are at almost $3000 to have my daughter's extensions installed. Then 8 weeks later they needed to be "moved up" well that was another $620 with tip as she charged us again for a awful color gloss, and she charged to trim the extensions (figured that would be included in the 2k extension price). Anyhow after spending $3420 for 2 appointments I realized I was probably being ripped off. I was right! I have since been to 3 extension salons to get prices for the actual hair and the "move up". First my daughter's real hair (bellameade) should have cost us about $600. Every other salon gave me the same price and I did not tell them what I paid for them. Then most places charge $100-150 max to move a row up. That would be $200-300 To move up my daughter rows. Not $500+ Anyhow what hurts the most is that I was super nice and we were in a desperate situation but we were taken advantage of. Anyhow, I know I probably shouldn't have paid that but as a working mom, I want to help out my family any way possible. Our teen daughter was distraught to the extent she gave up any birthday presents to just have her hair fixed. So not only was I ripped off our 15 year old was as well. I would recommend going to Zeba hair salon in east cobb instead.

Not only is she fun & kind; she is so knowledgeable and helpful. I just completed chemotherapy and while my hair is growing back, I want to look my best and need to step up my makeup game. (My only regret is I didn't visit her during chemo as well). I booked a Makeup Lesson and as her website recommends, I brought along some of my makeup for the consultation along with a long list of my questions. She started with "getting to know me" and my goals/expectations. From there, I sat back and watched as she tried various foundation colors & textures. The right one - what a difference!!! From there, she spent time on every aspect of my face. I was at her studio for several hours; learned a ton (took lots of notes) and had a fun time. She knows her stuff!!! Meredith was unsure the morning of her wedding how she wanted to wear her hair. She had done a trial with Kiev last summer, but had decided on a totally different style dress and did not think the original hair style would be appropriate. Meredith lives on the west coast so it was not possible to do another trial before the wedding. Kiev took all this in stride and after a few minutes of talking with Meredith and "playing around" with different styles Kiev was able to suggest the perfect style. Also Kiev did my hair and make-up,too. I have never received so many compliments. Being MOB can be a stressful job and working with some wedding vendors can be stressful, but not Kiev. She is a true professional.

This was the first place that I went to to get my hair replaced in 2019. At first I was taken care of by Mary she made me look like an Elvis Presley wanna be. The went to see Pura and it was ok for a short then mistakes started to happen. I lived my life in the bathroom mirror fixing her error finally left and went to a different salon and it was night and day great service and I looked amazing. After that I moved to Florida and found a great stylist. I ended moving back to Atlanta and there are very little people doing this and I heard she had hired more people so I went back one week later the employee quit. Pura can't keep employees. I can tell by her character that she micro manages so people won't stay. So I ended up going back to pura well guess what the first couple of service appointments great then after that holy crap mistakes every time she would put the hair to high or not centered and God forbid you called and asked For a reset she would get insulted I was having to go home take off the systems and re do it I kept giving her chances and today was the final straw. I had a cut in which I never let her do. So I tried. Guess what the system too high the hair haircut was awful I had to pay a barber to fix it. Called her on it and she refused to fix it so I asked for a refund and of course got defensive. Guys stay away. She left glue all over my forehead. She's and older lady with no creativity. In this industry you have to have wiggle room for mistakes they may not happen all the time but they do and she's very much my way or the highway tyoe if person. I feel bad for Mary if I were her I'd run. All my buds stopped going to her because she's awful. Don't waste your money. Better to pay more and get good service than to pay less and crap.
